Thanks for your prayers, Mel! I didn't have time to look into getting an x-ray before normal close of business hours, but my knee & leg are feeling a little better. I can't sit for very long is the most painful thing - gotta get up, carefully take a few steps, and then I'm able to walk 'ok'. Besides a few near-missteps, it was not too bad an afternoon. I'm going to call the doc's office in the morning and see if they suggest going to the ER for an x-ray is the best thing to do, or if they have another idea. Edward's hoping whatever they suggest it does at least involve getting an x-ray. He's reminded that I should have done that when I fell at the county hospital back in April (same knee, & it's swollen, but not as big as a golf ball like back in April). Yeh, yeh, yeh, I know - he's right. For schlepping me around town so I could get work done today, I treated him to a late lunch at Golden Corral. I was pretty happy I didn't have to ask him to carry my plate. I carefully managed pretty well. Okay, now I need to go in the kitchen & whip up a bowl of Cracked Out Pea Salad for tomorrow's office luncheon.

Good morning! It is 26 degrees here this morning and it is not expected to get much warmer for the next few days. Our weather forecast is calling for a Winter storm advisory from late this evening through tomorrow night, but the various local forecasts are all over the place regarding whether it will be freezing rain, snow, sleet, or some combination of them all. I guess that we are catching the remnants of that big storm that hit the Western half of the country a few days ago. Praying for all needs today.

I picked up a few things from the grocery store this morning.
I didn't really need too much, but I figured that I would do it now and beat the crazy "snow forecast = milk, bread, toilet paper panic" that is sure to hit all of the stores around the time that most folks are getting off work this afternoon/evening. And then I can stay home the next couple of days if the roads are really as bad as some of the weather forecasters are predicting.

Good morning! It's chilly outside at 35 this morning. Today's high will be 50 and I think we're dropping steadily for daily highs over the next 10 days. By the end of next week, morning windchills may be in the single digits (I hope not!). We are supposed to have lots of sunshine, at least, for next 5 days. That storm that went through here night-before-last was a lot worse than I realized. We had so much rain, there was water standing in every low spot, yard/empty lot, & pond yesterday and a lot of it is still standing this morning. A small town E/NE of here was practically leveled by an EF-2 tornado packing 120 mph winds. I've got a new comforter in the wash this morning - I'm finally going to put it on the waterbed, hehe. Hope you don't have a bad winter storm, Mel. How's your day going, Jeanette? Just learned we have a big plumbing/sewer problem at that 67-unit complex Nita just got the management on. The city is also threatening to shut off water to the whole complex today because previous owners have not paid up the water-sewer-trash bill in some amount of time. I've finally gotten Nita on the phone & she's on it. I told I'd be there shortly to continue working on getting those tenants all loaded in our software. This really wasn't supposed to be the project it's turned into, but she's cool as a cucumber at handling it. See y'all later. Have a great Wednesday! edited to add: I luv that Milk-Bread meme.

‘Morning Everyone Temp here at 11:40 am ish is 44 degrees & overcast which has it feeling colder. Rain due in soon.
Our friends left around 11:15 am.
Yesterday we ventured out for a late breakfast, at a Cracker Barrel, then stopped at a Hobby Lobby, Richard’s coffee shop & military museum, where I picked up a new T-shirt.
Afterwards, ‘dropped off a check to the Community Pregnancy Center in that area. The director was eating her lunch but came out, we hugged a couple of times, as she showed me their newly renovated ultrasound mobile unit! It was bought & donated prior to the vid, now fully fitted inside for service to pregnant moms!
Home & rested ~ Made home cooked Mac & cheese ~ Fire pit with s’mores ~ Cooked garlicky spinach While DH grilled steaks
After we all ate, we headed out to Zootastic Christmas Lights, about30 mins away. ‘Enjoyed the light displays, as well as animals that were out & about. ‘Stood in a line, as I wanted photo with Santa & hold the baby kangaroo! Our friends & us were all able to get in the photo.
We walked around the barn, fed the animals esp liked the camels that slobbered all over our gloves and the giraffes!
We got back home around 10pm.

Wellllll, looks like we're allll gonna be on cold December 23rd, eh? I've got to go in the kitchen and cook dinner. I'm hungry! ... Something about a Heinz Baked Bean Pizza being available in the UK after a 10-yr hiatus. Hmmm, not sure what the connection is to my wanting dinner, but I'm not going to argue.

I throughly loved holding that little kangaroo bundle of joy! ‘Wrapped up in a blanket with its little fuzzy head out and I kissed it on the top of it’s head! So adorable! I didn’t take my gloves off, but still lovely to nuzzle it’s little head! The gal taking the photo was encouraging me to pet, & I did, with my gloves on lol
Of course I’m wiped today, as I couldn’t get to sleep until after four in the morning & although I slept in, still needed more lol
Nighty night Grouphug

Good morning! It is 32 degrees here this morning, but the wind makes it feel even colder. The predicted storm started just after midnight. So far, it has been mostly freezing rain, and the sidewalks and roads are shiny with a thick coating of ice. The forecast is now saying that this may continue until late tomorrow morning. All of the local schools are cancelled for today. I don't plan to leave the house today. Only 96 days till Spring!

Good morning! 30 degrees with bright sunshine this morning. We might reach 49 this afternoon. Only 8 days till we start gaining a minute of daylight in the evenings! I'm looking forward to spring, but I'll be happy to celebrate the small blessings along the way. Sure don't blame you for staying home, Mel. Hope you don't have any flooding issues, Jeanette. My knee seems to be recovering. If it doesn't completely get recovered, I'm going to see about having it looked at after the holidays. Meanwhile, I'm taking it easy on it. Praying for all needs here today.

Good morning! It is 36 with a wind chill of 32 here this morning. Local news is reporting a lot of downed trees and power outages around the area, but everything seems to be OK in my immediate neighborhood. Hope you all have a great day!
