Everything went smoothly at the hospital.
I went in a little early because traffic sometimes tends to be backed up pretty bad in that part of town at that time of the morning.
They took me back as soon as I got there, so I was on my way home by the actual scheduled time of my appointment.
Preliminary examination of the ultrasound did not show any obvious problems that would explain my kidney issues.
They said that I should get the full results in 3 or 4 days.

Good morning! It's currently 72 and sunny, with no breeze. Humidity is 70% We have a week of low-to-mid-90s in the forecast and no rain. I'm praying your kidney test provides a roadmap for repair, or at least a means of slowing down the damage. Well, as hard as it is to believe, we're past Labor Day. Hope everyone has a great day!

Well ... when I finished the post above, I gathered up my towels and headed for the shower. Guess what - no water. I called the City's water distribution section. The nice lady said they've been getting several calls about low water to no water this morning and yes, there's a crew working on a pump station this morning, and no, the office has been given no further information. I said I hope it's not long because I work part-time and have to go work just after lunch and I want to take a shower before I leave home! She wished me a nice day - I laughed out loud & told her I hope I have a nice day! She hung up. I don't know who/what is most hated here - the Mayor, the City Manager, the City Council, or every section within the Water Dept. ... Guess I'll get another cup of coffee and make some phone calls from home. edited to add: Water's back on, but the pressure isn't hardly enough to take a shower. It took some doing to get the shampoo out of my hair, but I persevered! Btw, I don't hate any of those people mentioned above, but many residents do - the rants on facebook are swift & sometimes unending. I don't trust the mayor, city manager, or city council - I believe the corruption is deep and wide among those people.

Oh, the irony! I like how the writer of this article said: Yes, I'm really glad those guys from the mine helped that poor driver whose EV battery petered out on him! Having said that ^^^ I've laughed all the rest of the day since I read this earlier this afternoon.

I also found it interesting that the reason they had to push the EV in that story rather than just tow it was "because it was all plastic underneath and nothing to hook up to."
Makes me wonder just how flimsy these cars are in the event of an accident.

I'm tired tonight. It was a stressful 3-1/2 hrs of work this afternoon. Nita had started early and was worn out by the time I arrived. She started off-loading tasks to me and I jumped in with both feet. It never fails, the more we do, the more there is to do. We had a mowing crew start texting me this afternoon, wanting to know if "you guys" hired someone besides them to mow? Well, yeh, Nita did hire someone else, considering that mowing crew wasn't getting the work done. They just seemed to have stopped doing anything. The Mrs. had previously accused Nita of not paying her hundreds of dollars she'd invoiced for. Nita had paid, and had proof. The Mrs. didn't bring in her invoices to compare notes with Nita. Things got worse & worse. Nita told me not to ask them to mow anything more. Today was when the Mrs. jumped on me, as if it were all my doing. That young couple has a lot of communication issues, but they're not taking responsibility for their actions. The Mrs. sent Nita invoices this afternoon for work they supposedly did in the past 2 weeks. I know they didn't do that work. Nita knows they didn't do the work either. If they'd done the work they billed for today, Nita would have had no reason to hire someone else! I don't know what Nita is going to do about that. I suspect those fraudulent invoices are a felony. That young couple mowed for us last season and this season too until grass stopped growing in the heat. Well, after all the stuff that's gone on with their mowing, etc for Nita's property management company, I'm certainly not having them back on my property. I interviewed a man this evening and I think I'm going to use him to mow for us the rest of the season, as well as cut down a tree-haul brush-etc. I really hope he works out well. Okay, I'm going to whip up a batch of crab dip before I go to bed so we can eat it tomorrow. And then, I'm heading to bed where I hope to get a good night's sleep!

‘Morning Everyone It’s 70 degrees here at 5am & the humidity is 93 %.
I was working on re doing an old album last evening into the night, while listening to Cissie Graham Lynch’s older weekly podcasts from 2019 ~ 2020. Interesting to listen to re everything that has been going on for the past 2 1/2 years.
I turned out the bedside light at 1am.
Awoke around 4am …

Good morning! It is a chilly and rainy morning here. Our high for today is only expected to be around 70. And in the category of completely useless trivia: Did you know that Yosemite Sam's full name is: Samuel Michelangelo Rosenbaum?

‘Morning Everyone The temperature here at 6:20am is 69 degrees. Humidity is at 85 %
Yesterday I baked banana cupcakes and a new recipe for pound cake.
It takes me reading over a recipe and making it at least once before I figure it out. lol
I read the recipe and it called for using a 10 X 4 inch tube pan. My brain was thinking a loaf pan, as originally I wanted to make banana bread but then decided to go for the least work (?) of banana cupcakes. Well, the two loaf pans I have here, didn’t measure 10 X 4. So even though I wasn’t planning on going to a store, I really wanted to try the recipe & I went to the Walmart.
Well there was one loaf pan that measured close to 10 X 4, but it was made in China, and a Mainstay one that was made in the USA & cost less. I picked that one up, as well as a lot of other items on my ongoing list, as stores don’t always have items.
Also had a conversation with a gentleman who was in the supplement aisle looking for an item, as I was … He had seen what I was looking for & that was helpful! Once again, there were empty holes and things not stock in correct places.
As I walked around the store to attempt to find items , I would greet the people stocking the shelves with a good morning & thank you. Mostly these folks were older.
I’ve made it a habit to check best by/expiration dates, as I’ve also learned that no matter the store, a lot of times newer items are not being placed behind the older ones or outdated items are still on shelves. So I looked for the newest dates.
Anyway the pan story shortened is I didn’t need a newer loaf pan, but now I have one!
The cake mix was too much for the loaf pan, as well as the Bundt cake pan, but finally I used a tube pan like for angel food cake. The Bundt cake pan just didn’t seem like it would have enough space for it to rise.
I looked up tub pans and learned the differences lol
