I finally got the approval from my insurance company this morning. If all goes well, I should be getting my prosthetic leg next Tuesday.

I finally got the approval from my insurance company this morning. If all goes well, I should be getting my prosthetic leg next Tuesday. This is wonderful news, Mel! I'm really excited for you! Gonna be about 100 this afternoon. Even as hot as it gets here in the summers, that's 10 degrees above normal. I filled the Tahoe up to the half-tank mark yesterday afternoon & it made me about half-sick. That was $52. Love my Tahoe, but these gas prices are prohibitive, imo, for doing anything but the bare minimum when it comes to driving. Hope y'all have a great Wednesday!

Love my Tahoe, but these gas prices are prohibitive, imo, for doing anything but the bare minimum when it comes to driving. The thought has crossed my mind to wonder if the gas prices are being artificially forced upward to encourage people to consider switching to electric cars? If I still had two good legs, I think that I would be seriously looking into riding my bicycle wherever I needed to go on any day that the weather was reasonably decent. I miss riding my bike sometimes.

Gas station manager fired for accidentally selling gas for 69 cents a gallonAt a Shell station in Rancho Cordova, the price was 69 cents a gallon - for premium. That mistake with a misplaced decimal point has cost the manager his job, according to multiple media reports. The price was supposed to be $6.99 a gallon. Attachment DeletedCan't help but giggle ... I hope the gas station manager finds a job quickly, one that maybe doesn't require too much attention to detail. This was a big bicycle riding area for at least 3 decades, but not so much the past almost 10 years. One of the big annual rides is coming up soon. I'll have to see how well it's attended. The p-lan-demic didn't help. People seemed so afraid to get out and do anything. Riding a bike, like rollerskating and learning to swim, didn't 'take' with me. I had medical issues that caused balance problems as a kid and I was terrified of doing those sorts of things. By the time I was mid-20s, I gave myself permission to give up.

Luv, luv, luv those memes you've posted this morning, Mel! I've been saying I might need to buy a horse! Now you've got me wondering if a couple sheep might not be a bad idea. :thinking Y'know, that would justify an Rx for i-ver-m3ctin, and I could shear them, wash and card the wool, and weave it into winter sweaters!

I wonder if I could get a seatbelt installed on my wheelchair, and then I could sit along the road and grab on to the back of any car the was going in the direction that I wanted to go like some of the more daring (or crazy) skate boarders used to do around here when we were in high school.

Too funny! I instantly pictured you in Michael J. Fox's role in the original Back to the Future!

‘Morning Everyone
Yesterday, DH’s call awakened me, as I was gonna meet up & walk with a friend.
However, Tuesday, I had stayed awake until 1 am, with working on computer (Shutterfly album) all day with a late 30 min walk just to get outside & was thankful it didn't rain all day & I was able to get the flag back out, too.
I had another late day on computer yesterday ~ Shutterfly album for grands ~ plus baked oatmeal raisin cookies for DH. The silly deer ate all the pumpkin plants DS had planted over here. DS had planted three, one didn’t make it a couple days ago. The other two were looking good on Tuesday evening! Yesterday they were gone, leaves bitten right off through the tomato wire I had placed around them .

Good morning! It is a sunny 75 degrees here this morning, but rain and possible storms are in the forecast for later today. I went to the hospital lab for some bloodwork this morning to see if my kidney function has improved any since my medicines were changed a few weeks ago.

Good morning! Edward's mother and maternal grandmother were the "crochet ladies" in his family. I can see them crocheting for the cats. Already been on the phone with Nita working out maintenance issues. There's a tenant harassing her, as if I weren't going to tell Nita that yesterday I'd already set up a contractor to work on the ceiling problem at that tenant's apartment. I'm not perfect, but I can get a lot of problems handled. The tenant is just being a pain-in-the-behind nut-case (typical behavior for her). I hope Nita is having a good vacation at the Gulf. We've decided one car is all we need to work at 2 locations today. I'm dropping Sweetie at his office to pull floor duty this afternoon and then I'm picking up an Rx for him on the way to my office. Don't think I'll need to go anywhere today, but you never know. lol I'm putting a turkey tenderloin in the crockpot with BBQ sauce for dinner. We'll have macaroni salad and a veggie to go with that when we get home around 6. Oh, I'm also planning to make a sweep of the house & make sure anything that Milo might like to nose around in is put away or put up out of reach. Attachment DeletedHope you all have a great Thursday! ... Hope your blood work comes back looking better, Mel.

We have no internet service at the office this afternoon. I can do work, just not all the work I'd planned to do.
