Breaking News: 60-80 homes in the Jacksboro, TX area, along with their high school & elementary school, have suffered major damage to total destruction. Please pray for recovery in this area. Thankfully, there have been no major injuries reported at this time. 4 people have been rescued from damaged structures. This is miraculous. As for the fires in SW Oklahoma yesterday. We had at least 11, maybe 13, in our area. For most of the afternoon, every fire crew was on the ground fighting fires somewhere. The firefighter I mentioned yesterday afternoon as being injured, she died at the scene. A fellow Realtor and his wife were in Texas running their pizza business because it was spring break week, but some of their nearly-grown kids were apparently here in town. Their home is located here on the southeast corner of this town. One of the fires late yesterday afternoon raced across their property, destroying the outbuildings and some vehicles, and heavily damaging their home. He & she apparently made it home this afternoon from Texas because the wife posted photos of the destruction. This is the worst fires we've had in our area in one day in all the 40+ years I've lived here. We had rainfall most all day today. I hope the totals show up on the 10 o'clock news tonight. It's been bone dry here for awhile - other than 2 or 3 snowfalls & sleet storm. DS came by after work. He & Edward worked on his taxes. It was nice to have him here for a couple of hours. We were between rainshowers when he left. I wasn't in the mood to cook dinner at that point so we went to Braum's for their new special Aloha Burgers. <-- They were delicious: a burger, spinach, slice of tomato, slice of pineapple, some kind of melty cheese, & Braum's sauce on a Hawaiian bun. Well, I've got to do a little research on property management before I call it a night, so better get to work. Hope you are all doing well tonight! I love you all!

Thanks for your prayers, Jeanette! Do you remember Diana Schulz from RR way, way back? She was (still is) a big baseball fan - St Louis Cardinals. She does podcasts on their coaches & players, their statistics, and fan opinions; she also occasionally does a podcast on Christian music and/or sermons from John MacArthur. She posted that .jpg of the blessings - someone she knows had posted it for 2021, but she thought it was every bit as applicable (and maybe moreso) to 2022 so she changed 2021 to 2022 and reposted it. I thought that was true and a great idea so I saved a copy. Spring just struck me as a good time to post it. We had 1.75" of rain today. I went out back with the dogs about 10:30 and found the neighborhood is heavily socked-in with fog. Tomorrow is expected to be another high winds day, starting with a windchill of 23 at 7 a.mn. I'm heading off to bed and hope I sleep better tonight than last night. Praying for you tonight, Mel, in all needs & concerns.

Good morning! Thanks, Jeanette! We're under another wind advisory today, till 7 p.m. - looks like it's going to roar through the area all day. But no storms. It was 42 at 7:30, so not as cold as expected; windchill is still in the low 30s. Not forecast to be much warmer than this all day. Praying for you, Mel. Hope PT is going well. Hope everyone has a good and warm Tuesday! Attachment Deleted

A lady & I were chit-chatting over the avocados this afternoon @walmart, as if we were family. After we went our separate ways, I thought of you, Mel ... Are you masked up 24/7? That's horrendous, if that's what you're putting up with. I hope you'll let us know. I'm not sure what the policy is in local hospitals, but I think it's more masks than not. If you go to any doctor's office, you can't go in without a mask, free-standing or part of either hospital complex. I start PT for my shoulder on the 31st,& I expect masks are required in that clinic. I despise that idea, but I really want the therapy.

I don't have to wear the mask in my room, just during therapy.

‘Morning Good to see you here, Mel, prayers for you too
~~~~~~~~~~
I’ve got ENT early this morning, masks required at all doctors & dentist :-X
I went for a solo walk yesterday afternoon. Afterwards, I discovered water had been leaking majorly underneath the kitchen sink! Panicking, I called DH and he assisted me over the phone re turning off the water. I then proceeded to get stuff out from there, used towels to soak up the water, drying stuff off from underneath & turned on a small space heater & fan … DH called the plumber & he has my contact info, so hopefully he is able to get here on Thursday, as DH stated.
Thankful that I had run the dishwasher on Monday evening. Thankful that I had kept up on hand washing re cooking cod & garlicky spinach yesterday morning. Thankful there wasn’t an overwhelming amount of dishes that I took into the half bathroom to wash, after all of the cleanup.
Thankful I had only gone for a walk and hadn’t been out all day or traveled with DH. Thankful I check underneath the sink as I put the dish detergent under there … therefore I know that it hadn’t been leaking after I had hand wash stuff from cooking the fish!
I did a complete workout routine, ate a late lunch and then went on the walk. Thankful Although hours but not as many or days of leaking!
Good morning! It's in the upper 40s this morning, and not as windy, so more pleasant than the past couple days. Glad to hear you don't have to be masked in your room, Mel. Praying for you today. I'm really glad you got your water leak turned off, Jeanette! Water issues are such a bother. We've been reading about the bird flu & the millions of chickens & turkeys that have been killed here in the U.S. I'm not sure if this is a real problem, or something being blown out of proportion. Edward told me to check prices when I stopped to pick up some avocados yesterday afternoon. There wasn't much turkey, and the big chicken case was about 1/3 full. I don't know if that was due to shoppers stocking up, or if they store is already experiencing fewer deliveries. I bought a couple packages of turkey cutlets; at least they were the same price they've been for the past 3 years or so. Hope y'all have a great Wednesday!
Good afternoon.
Hope you are all doing well.
It is cool and rainy here.
I have often heard of people with amputations talk about phantom limb sensations, but having now experienced it myself, I can say that it is truly a strange thing to go through.
Mel, praying …
Barb, I thought similarly re the whole bird thing going on, also! Meats are higher here, as is just about everything else!
I throughly enjoy the “Rapture” message, also! ‘Haven’t heard anyone preaching on the subject in person :-X So looking up, waiting & praying! Besides living day to day.
You guys ever catch Buddy Brown on YouTube? Today’s was about farmers etc fertilizer … March 23, 2022 is the date it was posted
Good afternoon. Hope you are all doing well. It is cool and rainy here. I have often heard of people with amputations talk about phantom limb sensations, but having now experienced it myself, I can say that it is truly a strange thing to go through. We had a lady at our church who'd had a leg amputated just below the knee, not too long before I started going to that church. She led a women's Bible study at her house every other Monday for about 90 minutes. She occasionally had phantom limb pain. She assured us it wasn't like a normal pain & that she was okay, it was just a very strange sensation that she couldn't quite describe. She would grimace and rub the wrap around her knee & what remained of her leg. It would pass and she'd go on with the Bible study like nothing had happened. I always wondered about that - if she was really doing ok, but it sounds like she probably was, eh? We had an inch-and-3/4 of rain on Monday, and then yesterday the wind blew like crazy and dried up a lot of it. It's been chilly. Tonight it may get down to at least 32, if not a little below that. A friend has started seeds & had little plants that have come up, plus bought some plants to set out. I cautioned her to be ready to cover them all because the last frost date in this area is approx April 11th. I hope she doesn't lose them tonight.
