‘Morning
We had a busy & fun weekend with DD#2’s kiddos! ‘Picked them up on Friday, zoo early on Saturday, nerf war later & on Sunday, returned them Sunday afternoon, pool time then home. I went back yesterday after the gym for more pool time.
Actually slept Saturday & Sunday nights about 7 hrs without awakening for potty or leg cramps! Last night about 6 hours!
Today appts opposite ends from home. North for a dermatologist check on a suspicious spot on my nose, that DD#3 noticed. South for the eye doctor appointment.
‘Lord willing, home and chores that I didn’t want to do yesterday, before the next batch of grand are picked up on Friday for a zoo trip early in Saturday!
DD#2’s DD had requested the zoo as her 12th year birthday gift. DD#3’s DD had requested a pony ride, the zoo used to have that, they don’t anymore, but she still wants to go to the zoo for her 6th birthday gift!
Both girls are ok with their brother’s tagging along, too!
Right now I’m at the Dermatologist, their internet is down. She is going to biopsy a newer spot in my nose. Praying.

I had a bit of an accident yesterday and broke my arm just below the shoulder.
I have an appointment with an orthopedic specialist tomorrow to determine if it is bad enough to need surgery.

Praying for an accurate diagnosis tomorrow, Mel, so you can get the best treatment, whether that amounts to surgery or not. Which arm did you break-right or left? And is the hand you write with at the end of that arm? It's supposed to reach 97 here today ... may go on up to 100. No wind to speak of, unfortunately - it may be humid. We need some good 'typical' Okla wind to blow out the humidity. I was out pulling trumpet vine in the backyard - not much, but enough to know I need to get out there with some clippers early one morning soon. Now I'm smashing a few tiny little ants that crawled up on my shoes and I'm finding them now crawling up my legs. Have to get some paperwork submitted to help a set of tenants get some rental assistance. I really want them to get their rent caught up before the first of the month, or at least have this agency send a commitment letter before then. So ... see y'all later!

I'm actually ambidextrous
I usually write with my right hand, but most other things I am equally likely to use either hand.
It used to freak out one of the girls that I used to work with at the Deli that I could be chopping something with one hand and then when I got tired just flip the knife to the other hand and keep on going!
The biggest problem so far is getting dressed one handed. Wishing more of my clothes had snaps instead of buttons.

That's a good story! Yeh, I would think buttons, zippers, and getting clothes situated on my body are the things that would bother me. Washing my hair too. Well, I'm praying you heal well, whatever the orthopedic doc tells you tomorrow.

Oh, my gosh, you guys - I'm working on an email from the netherworld! I am having a nearly impossible time getting these .pdf's to attach. Edward jumped in & reduced their sizes so I'm trying again. This project is to obtain rental assistance for a couple who are over $1300 behind. They've gotten a commitment to me from one agency for half the money. I'm trying to get their info attached to this new email to apply for CARES money to assist them, hopefully for the other half, and maybe even to get them into the system to pay their next 6 months rent.
I've walked around the house, made myself a cup of iced tea, and I'm about to try again. I couldn't eee-ven remove the attachments that were on the first email, so I deleted it - totally. I haven't even addressed the new email yet, so I'm switching over to work on that. Hopefully, it'll go much faster this time.

Thanks, Jeanette! After deleting and starting over, all the attachments loaded pretty well. The representative I had to respond to sent me a quick email just before 6 to say she'd received it all. Hopefully they'll be approved shortly & a check put in the mail. It was only in the high 60s earlier this morning, and it felt pretty nice outside. The dogs are in & back to sleep, lol. It's gonna heat up to about 100 this afternoon, but the air is supposed to be drying out over the next few days, so that's a good thing. Hope you all have a great Thursday ... We have an "Annual Ant-Proof, Rain-Proof Picnic" to attend this afternoon (it's my veterans group's last meeting till fall; it's indoors at the fairgrounds & catered by their staff ). I hope we have a pretty good turn out, that group is really aging - I'm 64 and am the 2nd youngest by a long shot. The youngest is a gal who turns 64 this month. edited to add: I saw something yesterday that was a 'first', but probably is a coming 'thing'. The gal I emailed info to for my tenants had an interesting item in her email signature block. It looked like this: ... Jane A Doe, MSW (She/Her/Hers) Corporation Name Slogan about Helping Americans An Odd Logo Is this what we're going to be dealing with - people listing their 'preferred' pronouns for people to use when talking with, to, or about them? Have you been seeing this?

The surgery on my arm is scheduled for next Wednesday.
The bone is broken into five pieces. The three smallest fragments will be removed and the rest of the bone will be rebuilt with metal plates and screws.
Dr says three to four months to regain the use of the arm and will probably never regain full range of motion for the shoulder.

The bone is broken into five pieces. That's quite a break! How did you do that - fall down some stairs, or ...? That's just startling. I'm glad your surgery will occur soon. I'll be praying for you on a daily basis. (I do that anyway, brother. ) The verdict is still out, but I might have screwed up the dial on the water heater. I thought I was turning it cooler, then decided I didn't know which end of the dial was actually the arrow so I turned it the other direction. Then I freaked out because the blue light had turned red & only flashed a few times then went solid. I went running for Edward. He hates the new style water heaters because you can't tell anything about them and if following directions on the tank doesn't get results, you just have to call a repairman. He turned it off and has left it setting. He's wondering if the fact that the water inside it is hot (/warm at least) is keeping the pilot from re-lighting. He's going to take a shower, and then try the lighting instructions again. At least we have a home warranty to fall back on, but we didn't need the bother if it comes to that. edited to add: We didn't need as much bother as it already is.
