I always tell silly May that she is full of Baloney, and now I have the proof!

I made a quick trip to the grocery store this morning.
I'd say that a bit less than half of the people shopping there were wearing masks, but most though not all of the employees were still masked.

I made a quick trip to the grocery store this morning. I'd say that a bit less than half of the people shopping there were wearing masks, but most though not all of the employees were still masked. For some reason, un-masking makes some people really nervous. I think that's sad, a sign of a looming mental illness - if you asked my opinion, which no one did. (Edward teases me about what I think of my opinion.) We had high winds in the middle of the night that were frightening. I watched the pecan tree in the backyard whipping back & forth nonstop, and it was hard to believe it wasn't going to jump right out of the ground and fly away. I think these chicken dogs are rubbing off on me! I never used to be afraid of the wind, at all. There wasn't any thunder or lightning, and barely any rain, so I don't know who was getting all of that. I worked outside for a couple of hours this morning. I cut down all the suckers coming back on a mimosa tree; cut down a small shrub that keeps coming back - I am really going to have to break out the stump killer and dab these items with it! I cut off all the little suckers that have grown up around the front trees between the mailboxes at the curb. I cut off the branches that were hanging too low over the sidewalk too. I figured if there were fine, leafy limbs hitting me in the forehead, and I'm only 5'2", they were definitely not meeting city ordinance. It's 89 at present, with a heat index of 96. I'm going to make a quick run to return a dog collar I bought Leela. It's not the right style - must be used with a leash, which I didn't realize. Miss May looks like she was really enjoying that baloney! Hope you all have a great weekend too!

Either that or a sign of the effectiveness of the liberal media's brain washing technique. Maybe we should get out the Plan-demic Scales of Forthrightness and find out, eh? ... As for me, I'm not sure there's really much difference between whether it's a case of 'brainwashing' or 'mental illness'. They're both about the same thng

Mower-man Mark and his galpal Alex showed up around 6:30 this evening and did a whale of a great job mowing and cleaning up the property at our house. He said this "crazy mowing season" is about to do him in - you could tell he was melting in the heat and exhausted. When I came home, about 6 pm, I walked straight into the house, closed the dogs in because Mark was coming, then turned around & went back out to get the groceries. Edward came to help me carry them in - and he asked me to pop the trunk lock. I didn't have the key & remote. And I can't find it. It has to be 'right here'. I'm heading in the den to dump my purse ... See y'all later!

Good afternoon. The weather was very pleasant here this morning, but now at just past noon it is getting very dark with possible severe storms in the forecast for this afternoon and evening. At church this morning, Pastor Adam's sermon was on the subject of maintaining spiritual purity while living in a corrupt society.
Praying for all needs today and hoping that you all have a wonderful and blessed Sunday.

Hot & humid afternoon here, with heavy storms to the west, but they're heading south so hopefully we'll stay dry. We had a raging electrical storm roar through here between 6 & 7 this morning. It hit me that I should bring in the newspaper before it was ruined & thankfully that was possible. Praying for all needs, and safety from the storms - meteorological-type and life-type. Later: We had a light rain to end the day. When it was passed, Leela & I went out back and walked around. She went frog-hunting in the old pool & found 3 out enjoying the cool evening. There was a cool wind blowing & the temperature had dropped to 78. Hope you each and all sleep well tonight. See you tomorrow. Attachment Deleted

Good morning! The weather here is warm and pleasant this morning, but we have more rain and thunder storms in the forecast for this afternoon and evening. Today is the day that my parents' furniture and personal belongings are going to be sold at the auction house starting at 10 AM, and this evening is when Dad's two cars are scheduled to the sold at the auto auction. It's hitting me a little harder than I thought it would.

Good morning! It's almost 80, and the humidity is matching the temperature so it's pretty sticky this morning. No rain overnight was the side of things. I didn't sleep well but that happens some nights - stress is probably most of the problem, and eating dinner later than I thought we would. Sending you hugs and prayers, Mel. Taking care of the estates of people we love is tough work, period.

Love the cat with the American flag! It's also the US Army's 246th Birthday today. This date on the calendar really should get a lot more attention than it does. Attachment Deleted

Good afternoon - the company behind the gas & oil exploration to whom I was selling my share of the mineral rights that came to me through my mother's side of the family sent the check to pay. I'm so thankful - it couldn't have come at a better moment! I also have a new toothbrush today. It's a first world problem: my dog's toothbrush was brand new & mine was soft & shedding. So now, Fran and I both have new toothbrushes. We'll be happier gals - as soon as I get her some flavored doggy toothpaste & she lets me brush her teeth at all.
