Yes, it finally stopped, but the last few hours of snow had rain mixed in so it is very wet and very heavy.
I think that we had about a foot and a half, but it is hard to say for sure because of heavy drifting at times before the rain started.

Good morning! Hope that snow & frozen snow doesn't create too many problems for getting around town. We've had a good morning sorting through the drawers around the house we've tucked pens, pencils, paper, folders of every size into. I can't find a box of Dixon Ticonderoga pencils. I'm rounding up old cell phones now. A trip to Wal-Mart is coming up this afternoon. Heh, if I get $5 out of the whole collection, I'll be a happy woman. And I won't have these items of debris tucked into drawers & bookcases any more. We wouldn't qualify as hoarders; we simply have way more stuff than we need at this point in our lives. My cousin in New York tells me that they got 41 inches of snow in the Birmingham area and it's still coming down a little.

That is an awful lot of snow! Even for that area! Is that up in the Finger Lakes region? I can't remember. I love the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. Haven't been there in years.

This amount of snow this early in the season is a new record for them by quite a bit.
