Good morning! I know that the official start of of the Fall Season is still two days away, but this weather we have been having the last few days has really got me in an Autumn mood. We had our first significant frost of the year here last night, and even at 7:30 AM it is still only 38 degrees.
Praying for all needs of our members and their loved ones today and wishing you all a happy and blessed Sunday!

Good morning! Great new chat thread, Mel!
Beautiful and sunny morning here. We had a heavy dew, and it was chilly, but no frost here yet.
It is feeling fall-ish here too. Robert Jeffress continues his series on Revelation. It's very good. I've been through studies on Revelation in the past, but this one is the most informative.

Sweetie & I took the shelves, shelf supports, and the lunchmeat/cheese drawer out of the refrigerator this afternoon. Between the 2 of us, we washed everything, including the interior of the fridge. And then we put it all back together again. I bend, stoop and reach more easily than he does, so I cleaned the inside of the fridge while he washed most of the rest of it at the sink; I helped him when the inside of the box was looking great again. We don't use the crisper drawers (my idea & he doesn't mind) so they're in the garage, out of the way. We got the project all finished & the food is back inside. We're pretty pleased with the outcome. The laundry and dishes are all caught up right now too. That's the funny thing about housework, it barely stays done for a day. This weather has this area in such a blah, holding pattern, due to no wind. It's too quiet outside. I'm really hoping this week will take off with a decent breeze, bright sunshine and mild temperatures. later: It's only 8:30, but it feels much later. I think we wore out the dogs today, with all of the laundry, dishes, refrigerator project, and some other minor fall cleaning things we did. Franny & Leela didn't nap the way they normally would have. They're acting like they're really ready to go to bed right now. Poor dogs!

Good morning! ... last full day of summer ... Hard to believe that's true. The weather app won't load on my phone this morning, for whatever reason , but it was certainly chilly in the house overnight. Praying for everyone here today, along with their family and friends.

Good afternoon! We had another cold 36 degree morning here, and we had a heavy frost for the second morning in a row. It is almost like we skipped over Autumn and went right from Summer to Winter. I ran a few quick errands this morning and then went to the grocery store and drug store for my parents, and we had fish fillets for an early lunch. When I got home a little while ago, May was running around meowing loudly and acting like a crazy thing for a while for no apparent reason, but she has settled down now and is sleeping peacefully in the other room. It kind of made me think about how Barb said that your dogs were acting odd a few days ago.

Summer ended and I missed it! I've taken up finishing a pair of trolley models that I have been ignoring for a few years. I've done better but these will do. Like my friend Tony says, "Can a tall man on horseback see it?" Well, no he can't especially when they are running around on a layout. Since I have to paint out doors, Maria's orders, I have to work fast. It's a narrow window of good weather between the heat of summer and the cold of late Autumn.

Been a pretty productive day ... I vented on fb a little bit ago. I rarely do that - don't think I've ever said something like what I wrote. It was about people needing to educate themselves & go vote on November 3rd. It really is important. I added this comic strip. I thought the last election was the most important one that had occurred in my life. Everything that has gone on so far this year has me convinced this is the most important election of my life.

Good morning! Happy First Day of Fall! It's an overcast morning, but doubtful we'll have rain (yay!-we don't need it). It's in the mid-60s, so I'm not complaining about that at all. Praying each and all of us have a productive good day, whatever we do with our time.

That wiener dog is appropriately named. Busy morning - on the phone with the claims adjuster for the car. The police dept is underfunded - thanks to the mayor and city council pulling a big chunk of their funding, no real good explanation for that. Even the records dept is short staffed. It's taking a week to 10 days for police reports to be ready for pick up, and the reports window is only open 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., 4 days a week. But, we're finally moving along. We've got a big older home to show a friend of ours this afternoon. It needs work, but he wouldn't mind taking on a renovation project, if he can get a good deal on it and it's livable in the renovation process. It looks like it would be a pretty neat house.

Some things I believe:
"I must always remember: I am responsible for the action; God is responsible for the outcome" - from a devotional, in reference to sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with a nonbeliever; and actually, when attempting to help anyone find assistance to reach a better spot in life.
"Never Wrestle with a Pig -- You Both Get All Dirty, And the Pig Likes It." ... from a cute wall-hanging I gave my mother years ago when she had a difficult supervisor, but loved her job.
"Matthew 10:14 Whoever does not receive you, nor heed your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet." ... and that was Jesus speaking to the disciples, of course, when He sent them out to preach to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
^^^ I say that to tell you, I've worked my way down to the end of Matthew 10:14 with one of those anti-christians (he's not simply unsaved) who I've been praying for. I told him - he is free to hold any opinions he chooses, and I won't bother him any more. If he ever popped onto my facebook or messenger page with a question, I'd probably answer. I will still pray him& have hope for the salvation of his soul.
Okay, back to work - I just needed to vent since it was bugging me. /rant
