I turned the furnace on for the first time today. May has not been getting very far from the heat vent behind the couch in the living room.

Good night, Mel. Good night, May.

Good afternoon! It is another chilly rainy day here, but not quite as cold as yesterday. I went to church this morning and then had lunch with my parents. Now I'm home enjoying a few rare lazy afternoon hours of relaxing. Every time the furnace burner turns on, May goes running to the nearest heat vent and meows into it until the warm air starts blowing out.

Lol Our dogs wouldn't know what it meant not to be allowed on the couches. Beautiful sunny day here, not quite 80 degrees and low humidity. We're going off to a new listing Sweetie has to take pictures in a bit. We also need to get to the commissary before it closes at 6. Need peanut butter. This may be the first time in my adult life that I have run out of peanut butter. Hope all y'all enjoy your Sunday afternoon.

Last time I bought peanut butter, I was in a hurry and I accidentally grabbed a big jar of the creamy kind when I meant to get the extra chunky.

We had a pretty good evening. I'm now the proud owner of 2 jars of 'Simply JIF' peanut butter. We also picked up a 10-lb box of Milkbones Dog Biscuits, a 25-lb bag of one of their favorite dry foods, & a discounted 2-lb jar of raw honey from the damaged goods shelf (hinge was broken on the fliptop). We decided to have dinner at a Mexican restaurant that's new. As we were being seated, Sweetie had a look of panic come over him. His wallet was at home in the pocket of the slacks he'd worn to the office on Friday while today he was wearing a pair of work jeans. I treated us to dinner. The wind is roaring tonight & the temp is down to 59° already.

My cable company offered us a free Chromebook if we would renew our contract. Since we were going to anyway it was a no-brainer. I could write a book about how this thing is so awful but all I'll say is no wonder why they're giving them away.

I could write a book about how this thing is so awful but all I'll say is no wonder why they're giving them away. That's basically the equivalent of being pranked, isn't it? That's sad, really. I've been almost breathless with thanksgiving for the past hour. A tenant who was seriously behind on rent paid in full plus half of next month's rent. Her husband is diabetic and on dialysis, and her family members have stolen from her in the past. I couldn't evict them. This is really a blessing, undoubtedly. Her husband has some sort of painful ulcer on the bottom on one foot - "it just popped up out of nowhere on Friday", she said; it's scaring her pretty bad. She was on the phone this morning and managed to get him worked in to see the wound care specialist in the morning before dialysis. I'm praying for him. Gotta get to work on this afternoon's projects. Must have dinner ready by 6, and attend HOA meeting at 7. See y'all later.

Text message from my cousin this evening: "I must be out of my mind. I'm so annoyed at my bathroom scale that I just ordered a plant-based meatball sub."

Text message from my cousin this evening: "I must be out of my mind. I'm so annoyed at my bathroom scale that I just ordered a plant-based meatball sub." . . . That's so funny! I hope she lets you know if she liked it. I saw a pack of "Meatless Meatballs" in one of the freezer cases at the commissary yesterday. Isn't that an oxymoron?

Beautiful morning here - sunny, breezy, in the low 60s. Been running errands & sat down to have a cup of coffee with sweetie. We've been planning out things we need to do at home & on rentals before the coldfront hits.
So, Mel, did you eat that creamy peanut butter or find someone to give it to? We usually have a jar of lightly salted peanuts on hand. I have a coupon for so much off on 2 jars before Dec 31st.

I just prefer the texture of the crunchy kind in my sandwich, but they taste the same.
It is a cool windy day here, but not as cold as the last few.
I decided to wash the sheets and blankets off my bed this afternoon. May does make it a challenge to get the dirty sheets off and an even bigger challenge to get the clean ones back on.
Edit to add: After I moved the sheets and pillowcases from the washing machine to the dryer and went to get the other pile of blankets to wash, this is what I found:
