Good morning! Today is quite a change from yesterday's record high temperature. It is chilly and rainy here this morning. Our first frost of the year is likely by the end of the week.

Looks like these 2 cold fronts aren't going to cool us down as much as expected. There are no 90s in the forecast, but mid-to-high 80s are. I envy you that possibility of having a frost, Mel. Not that I'm wishing winter will come early, just would like a cool down and some dry air. The artillery is firing today so the dogs have decided to come back inside and nap. It's not so loud inside, and mommy's home so they feel safer, I guess. I've been throwing out old real estate materials and seriously outdated computer references. Stirring up some dust so I'm vacuuming as I go as well. Thought I'd take a break for a bottle of water. These dogs are so cute!

The AC is running this afternoon ... Our hounds don't do much of this at their ages now, but Ge'dogg ate a loveseat when he was a pup, and Franny tore down all the blinds across the living room & dining room windows the first time she was home alone.

May's big thing when she was young was to climb the walls and tear up the wallpaper. She has no idea how close she came on a couple of occasions to getting declawed even though I usually don't agree with doing that to a pet.
She mostly got over that eventually, but I still have to be careful to not leave any extra rolls of toilet paper or paper towels where she can reach them.

Good morning! 59° & breezy at 7 a.m. this morning. Whoo hoo! I've enjoyed it so far. Went to the gym for a real focused workout, & then ran to collect some rent from one tenant 😁 & corral another tenant's dog that was running loose. Y'know, Mel, I've never seen a cat climb walls like Miss May. What a talent! What sharp claws! 😂

Unlike the kitten in that video, May never needed any encouragement to do her wall climbing.
She just loved to climb anything and everything, including my legs and back. I still have a few scars from her kitten calisthenics.
Thankfully, she has calmed down considerably as she has gotten older.

It was a cool breezy day here with a beautiful sunset this evening. I took the air conditioners out of the windows this afternoon and got the furnace ready to go. The next several nights are supposed to get down to around 40 degrees.

The next several nights are supposed to get down to around 40 degrees. Are you sure you're not skipping fall and rocketing ahead to winter? Lol The chief meteorologist in our area gave us a 'tentative heads up' today. If the future trend holds, the morning low may be down to 36 degrees on the 11th or 12. We'll just have to wait & see. It warmed up to the mid-80s this afternoon so was pretty warm. I'd put on a lightweight, long-sleeved pullover sweater because we were going to the boonies to show a house. Silly me, that cool wind from this morning didn't last at all. It was all brilliant sunshine and hot by 1 p.m. Neat house, but it needs a lot of work. Our friend isn't making an offer on it. It's been a great evening spent on the phone with my bff who lives in South Dakota. btw, I got a kick out of the kitten running up the wall in that video. I had no idea before you brought it up that cats could climb walls. I have a new respect for Miss May, believe me! ...

I'm on hold, waiting for a human to assist in completing my purchase of a couple new GoDaddy domains. I just want to wrap this up so I can go.to.bed. After 20 minutes on hold, I switched over to the online Chat 24/7 feature. The person was so nice to walk me through changing my contact email. It was 1:15 by then. I've been trying to get my gmail account (which I basically never use) to load up through Chrome and it is not happening. I'll have to get Sweetie to look at the mess for me later this morning. I cannot hardly believe it's a quarter till 2 a.m. I'm going to bed right now. If you remember cinlynn, her birthday was Friday (which is now yesterday - she said to tell you "Hello!", Mel. I tagged you out of one of her threads on Thursday, I think it was). She posted a cute video of her granddaughter mixing up cookie dough, and a 2nd sweet video of all of them serenading her before they tied into their cupcakes (her cupcake had 4 candles on it).

Good morning! Last night's low temperature actually got down to 39 degrees. Some areas nearby had a light frost this morning, but we did not have any in my immediate neighborhood.
I had an early brunch with my parents this morning and then drove down to the Amish market a couple of towns over and bought my first jug of fresh pressed Apple Cider for this year.

I'm going to have to surrender my Boston card. It's our 35th church wedding anniversary so Maria wanted to go out to eat at Pizzaria Uno. Chicago style deep dish pizza. Mine was so good I just don't have words.

39 degrees, eh? That's pretty cold! It was balmy this morning, and warm. It's up to 93 degrees now. That high was not in the forecast, but this is how it goes in SW Oklahoma. I spent over 90 minutes on the chatline with GoDaddy today. Barely made any headway at all. I'll try again tomorrow. Determined to work at things for the rest of the day that keep me on my feet and moving so I work off this pent up energy.
