Praying agreement for the needs of the victims and their families from this terrible wreck. Bright & sunny here, thankfully, and headed into the 50s by early afternoon. Next several days, all the way through Christmas, are supposed to be in the 50s to maybe low 60s. No snow here. And I'm find with that. Our veterans' group's Christmas luncheon is today - and the vote on how much the chapter is giving to support the all-inclusive playground development. I hope all of you are happy & healthy today, and enjoying the run-up to Christmas. Hope your roads clear & it warms up enough that you can get out to do what you want to do today, Mel.

Hehehe Guess what song came on the radio as I was driving home from DS's about 10:30 last night? Yep - Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer. Cool this morning, and overcast; might rain a little this evening. Y'all have a great Friday. I hope to!

Good afternoon! It seems like a heat wave here. It got all the way up to 33 degrees by lunchtime.

After the weather you've had this week, I can understand why you say that. My weather tooth hurts this afternoon. It probably will rain a little bit tonight. I'm tired this afternoon. I grocery shopped for the items we needed to fix Christmas dinner - just missing a few things, mostly items to make the coconut cream pie. Also needed more canned dog food, hehe. Our coonygirl can eat! Both stores (commissary and Wal-Mart) were packed. I'm concerned about the life issues of someone near-and-dear to me, plus thinking about going to visit our friend who's back at the VA center & as our son said, seriously on the downhill slide off this planet, and that was all in my head on top of bratty kids & oblivious mothers who I thought should have been . Yeh, I'm worn out already. Better head to the VA Center before it gets too late.

Our friend is not sliding off the planet as fast as DS thought, apparently. He's looking pretty good, for a man in his condition. He's down to being a little bag of bones, but his mind is still pretty sharp and he's alert. We had a good visit. He's not eating, but his face lit up at the idea we would bring a scoop of his favorite ice cream from Braum's. ... We'll do that in the next coupla days. Also going to see if we can get a couple other folks out to see him. It's really cooled off this evening. I'm going to check the furnace & may turn it up a degree.
