Finding fun things in old memes I've collected. I need to get off the internet however and put up a load of dry laundry. Have a great night! See y'all tomorrow!

Kellogg's is putting out a limited edition cereal for Fall based on the classic Peanuts cartoon "It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" Oddly enough, the flavor of the Pumpkin themed cereal is vanilla. Bwahahahaha That's actually not too surprising. They surely have a boatload of info on best-selling flavors. Vanilla probably ranks real high for a children's cereal but pumpkin not so much. It'll likely be a money-maker. Not sure if I should give it a thumbs-up or an eye roll. Peanuts Great Pumpkin is about the only Halloween thing I still like. (I know, I'm a total buzzkill when it comes to that October holiday. )

Peanuts Great Pumpkin is about the only Halloween thing I still like. (I know, I'm a total buzzkill when it comes to that October holiday. ) I like all of the old Peanuts holiday specials, but I think that my favorite is still "It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown". I always crack up at the part where Peppermint Patty is trying to teach Marcy to color Easter eggs.

My favorite is "A Charlie Brown Christmas". That Linus recites Luke 2:8-14 gives me goosebumps every year. After that, "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!" and "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" are the others I like. Okay, Mel, my education is lacking - I've never seen "It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown!" I'm going to have to see if I can watch it on youtube. It's a calm 95 degrees outside right now, only the slightest of breezes, and the humidity is low at 29%. There's an 'odd' feel to the air but I can't see or smell any smoke. The air quality alert expired last night & hasn't been renewed. Well, long 'to-do' list remains so I'll see y'all later! Hope everyone has a blessed Sunday.

I always crack up at the part where Peppermint Patty is trying to teach Marcy to color Easter eggs. "Oh, Marcy! You made egg soup!" That was great! ^^^ I'm still laughing.

‘Afternoon Folks!
Chaos & mayhem here!
DD#4 & family plus dog, her 9 yr old’s birthday pool party in Monroe, at DD#2’s home started around noon! Also, another granddaughter turns 18 this upcoming Friday, so since she was there, we sang to her, too!
I drove separately & left after cake, as I’m on RX for the latest UTI, and wanted to decompress before child care DD#4’s kiddos while her & her DH, along with my DH & DS attend a movie early evening.
I also stopped at a grocery store on the way home for ice cream to make root beat floats with grands!

Heh, a root beer float sounds delicious in this heat! It's up to 101 outside right now. Hope you keep having fun with the grands this evening.

It's been a quiet afternoon here.
Our high temperature today got up to 96.
After church, I picked up a steak and cheese sub from Subway for my lunch.
I did the laundry and a little bit of house cleaning this afternoon, and now I'm having a simple supper of leftovers with a small dish of Greek yogurt and blueberries for dessert.

Funny thing about those iconographic brands hinted at above --> A certain syrup, with a brand name of Mrs. B*tterw*rth, is still appearing on local store shelves. And it's not past its "best by" sale date either. No, I don't know what that means. It was just interesting to see a whole section of shelf at my eye level filled with those bottles. My BFF and I spent 2 hrs & 40 minutes on the phone this evening. She's babysitting her daughter's 2 dogs while daughter, SIL & teen granddaughter go visit SIL's grandmother. This is the last greatgrandmother my BFF's granddaughter has so she wanted to see her too. Granddaughter has just gotten over some kind of bug but they figure she's recovered enough to not infect her greatgrandmother. Otherwise, they'd have left her at home watching the dogs - she is 16. Those granddoggies are hilarious. They spent the evening on the couch with her, except when the roomba turned itself on (it's pre-programmed) and came out to vacuum part of the house. The one dog was attacking it, and looking over his shoulder to be sure my BFF noticed. We were rolling on the floor with her describing the dog & it barking in the distance at the vacuum. She said he was smacking it with his paw as if to say, "Bad, roomba! Bad!" I told her she should feel really special - that dog was protecting her from that vacuum! I've got to get some sleep! See y'all tomorrow~

Good morning! Looks like it is going to be a hot and humid upper 90s day here. I have a few errands to run this morning; and then this afternoon, I am getting together with Sharon's family for an end of Summer cookout at my sister-in-law's house. Hope you all have a great Labor Day!
