‘Morning Folks!
Another dreary & rainy day here Temperature at 8:30 am is 67 degrees
The AC unit has been turned off since the other night, as besides running all the time it started making these awful sounds like whatever was in the attic was gonna fall through the ceiling. Texted them & they let me know how to turn off the thermostats.
Yesterday, I was petting the bunny & reading a book, when it came on again, all by itself! Sounded like a swarm of locusts through the ceiling vent & the loud rumbling in the ceiling! Texted them & there was another thermostat in the upstairs bonus room!
The guy they use for repairs was able to get by yesterday afternoon. He took a big thingie out from the attic with him & tried to see if he had anything in his truck to fix whatever, nope. Hopefully a part gets to him today, if so he’ll repair it today.
Thankfully it’s been rainy, overcast & not as hot outside. It’s humid. The ceiling fans are keeping the house at a comfortable temperature.
May you all have a blessed 1st day of officially summer!

Good morning! It is 64 degrees here this morning but very humid. Our high today is only expected to be around 75. I went to the hospital lab early this morning to get some blood work done. A little later this morning, I need to run a few quick errands to the grocery store and the pharmacy. Praying for all needs today. Hope you are all having a great day!

Good morning! Luv the new summer digs, Mel! Temperature is 82 and feels like 90. Gonna be another sticky hot day. Glad the AC repairman was able to get to you yesterday, Jeanette. I was just on the phone with a contractor we use and he said they'd 'try' to work in the house we manage that's having the problem. All the contractors here are swamped with calls. But, heh, fall's coming! (Couldn't resist saying it. You know I can't say that to that tenant who knows everything about what's wrong with her AC unit. ) I've had so many calls this morning, already, that I haven't fed the dogs yet. Franny is standing behind me, wagging her tail while Milo & Leela are wrestling ... I know what they're wanting! Okay, got the dogs fed and they're happily laying around the house. Milo doesn't like the stuffy heat much. He wants to be outside, but can't stand it for long. I have laundry to put away and want to balance my checking account & then I'll head to the office. It's supposed to reach the high 90s but we're only under a heat advisory today, not a heat warning.

I luv that blue heeler riding that mechanical bull! Don't think any of our dogs would do that, but I could be wrong! Hope you're all doing well this evening.

It has really cooled off here this evening. I may need an extra blanket tonight. We have had a slow steady rain going on for the last several hours, and it looks like rain is in our forecast for the next few days too. Good night!

Good morning, Jeanette! Good morning, Mel! It's only 74 this morning! That's a coldfront, compared to the past 3 mornings. We may have rain tonight, but it's not a strong chance. It's been a few tough days around this town, and around our office. People have really been troubled. In particular, we have a tenant who is a vet with ptsd. He's raged around, threatening people, including coming into our office and raging at Nita on Monday morning, and then coming back on Tuesday afternoon & raging at me. Nita talked wit the police yesterday but did not file a formal complaint. I called a VA counselor that we know who may be able to help. The man has a VA counselor of some sort here in town, but we're not sure he's gone to see him. This has caused problems between our company's owners too. I'm praying this whole area calms down. Nita & I really need a calm, productive day today. Her business partner has just left for 2 weeks in Fla, and we're not sure how the partner's assistant is going to be acting - she took yesterday off with the excuse she had a doctor's appointment. My goal: stay in my lane. Did the AC repairman get your DD's AC back up & running yesterday, Jeanette? Hope you're not chilly today, Mel! I'm putting stew in the crockpot for tonight's dinner.

‘Morning Folks! Temperature here at 10:15 am is 66 degrees.
Yep, the repair guy was in & out yesterday morning! It is running quieter & efficient!
Afterwards, I met up with DH at the range, then lunch. Traffic was stopped to head back to DD#2’s home & I got turned around, so I stopped by a store looking for an item. Nope it wasn’t there. By then, my energy was waning & legs were achy, so I got back to their home as soon as traffic permitted.
Meanwhile, DH picked up our weekly produce from the place near DD#3’s home. He stopped by there & dropped their order off too. As well as Visited with the grands and gave grandson who turns 12 on Saturday a birthday card & gift. This is the grandson who took a soccer ball hit in the face last week.
I’ve been reading a couple of fictional books the past couple of days & nights, by Joel Rosenberg. The Third Target & The first Hostage. I had picked them up at the resale store awhile back, but hadn’t gotten to read them.
May you all have a blessed day!

Stew is in the crockpot, and it's already smelling delicious! DS has given me fits in texts all morning about getting the storm damage inspected on his car. He finally set up another appt with the claims team. He'll have options to shop for another insurance co after this is all over, but for now, he's a part of a bigger package that includes all of our cars & homes. He really wasn't seeing the big picture but I worked hard to lay it out for him. (I stopped short of telling him he was making me really angry, and I'm glad I did. Thanking the Holy Spirit for being in the kitchen with me. ) See y'all this afternoon! Praying everyone here has a blessed day.

The Sun has come out for a while this afternoon, but more rain is in the forecast for this evening with thunder storms likely overnight.
I didn't feel like cooking today, so I ordered a pizza from Papa John's for lunch (and probably supper too).

‘Afternoon Folks!
Well , I’ve finished the 2nd book … looking to find the 3rd in the series “Without Warning!” It came out in 2017.
Time to get moving!
