Good morning! It is a bright and sunny 71 degrees here this morning with a forecast high of 85 this afternoon. I know it isn't the healthiest breakfast, but I had pancakes with maple syrup and scrambled eggs this morning!

Good morning! I get a kick out of those Lockhorns. It's currently 91 with a heat index of 100. I'm happy the AC didn't come on till 10 a.m. That sounded like a pretty tasty breakfast, Mel. We're about to have bacon & eggs. Hope things are well with you & yours this morning, Jeanette. I appreciate you all being here. The world is getting darker by the moment. This, forum is small and a great place to come for peace & fellowship.

I appreciate you all being here. The world is getting darker by the moment. This, forum is small and a great place to come for peace & fellowship. I agree. Sometimes I miss the days on some of the past versions of the board when we had a much bigger active membership with lots of active Bible study and theological debate; but I can still get that on a few of the other sites that I visit occasionally, and it is nice to have a place to go to everyday for peaceful Christian fellowship and fun without all of the drama.

One of my Realtor pals raises chickens. Her DH rolls his eyes from time-to-time and tells her she has enough, but next time she sees some new-to-her breed or some new idea, she's off & running for more. They have enough land to handle her chicken coops, so probably not really a problem. He may just tire of hearing about her escapades sometimes, lol. Today's sermon at 1st Baptist Dallas was titled "The Greatest Sermon Since the Birth of the Church." It started with Peter addressing the crowd at Pentecost in Acts 2:14. It perked me up and I want to study it so I'll remember it if I have the chance to share it with someone who hasn't accepted Christ and is on the fence. I've gotta get the turkey cutlets marinating for Baked Mississippi Chicken, which will be dinner later. The dogs are running in and out, but I'll probably tell them they have to stay inside from about 2 till the backyard is shaded. It's just too hot for them to be playing out there, even if they're mostly in the pond. Leela & Milo are such messes. Franny has been running in & out too, she's feeling pretty good today. See y'all later!

Jeanette, I keep forgetting to ask you how you like the Zevoo Flying Insect Trap? The one in the kitchen has trapped a lot of flies that have come in the backdoor with the dogs, plus all the little fruit gnats that are around this time of year, and a handful of mosquitoes. It's about due for a filter change. The traps in the bathroom aren't getting much attention, but I think that just means there aren't many bugs passing through the rest of the house (kitchen is near the backdoor to the florida room and backyard).

It's been a quiet evening here.
I've just been relaxing and watching Law & Order reruns.
The weather here today was beautiful, but now we have thunderstorms in our forecast for overnight.

It's starting to cool off a little; the air temperature is down to 91. The backyard is all shaded so I let the dogs go back outside. Leela was thrilled - she could not hardly run fast enough to get to the pond. I've turned on Miami Vice reruns. Those old detective shows are all better than current TV, aren't they? Our dinner was fun to cook. The baked Mississippi chicken was delicious. It has mild banana peppers included and I need to make a note on the recipe to use double the dainty, decorative amount I put on the cutlets this evening. They're really tasty with the meat and two or three rings per cutlet is simply not enough. We also put together a batch of Roasted Red Onions with diced pear and feta cheese and a drizzle of Balsamic vinaigrette. Edward helped - he cut the red onion into rings and diced the pear. That dish is sooo tasty, and since we had 2 leftover cutlets and we do have 1 red onion and 1 pear left, we've decided to make the same dinner all over again on Tuesday evening.

Good morning! It is 71 here this morning with a forecast high in the mid 80s and storms likely for this afternoon. Those old detective shows are all better than current TV, aren't they? For the last several years, there have been very few of the new shows that interested me at all and almost none that could hold my interest for more than a couple of episodes. Hope you all have a great day!

‘Morning Everyone ‘Just got in from a walk on the greenway & now have my legs elevated with the heating pad under the knees & calves. Temperature here is now 78 degrees with an expected high of 89. Storms may be rolling in around four. It’s 11:15am
While awake during the night, sensor light on the shed went off & deer in the yard. However, in the wee hours of this morning is the first time I saw three lying down, just beyond the light. Neighbor’s light was on casting their shadows. I got the binoculars & lifted the window screen up to get better views. They were in a triangle shape of positioning. The one closest to the house had it’s head up, as did the larger one closer to the woods. The one in like the point position, closer to the mid area , eventually lowered its head.
On the walk, we saw the usual squirrels, a hawk landed & we could see it close up, a deer walked across the path right in front of us! So cool!
Yesterday, DH & some former co-workers rode together for a memorial gathering at the deceased guy’s favorite motorcycle shop.
Meanwhile, I met up with a friend, as her birthday is Wednesday.
DD#1 & granddaughter will be spending the night. I’m gonna fix one of her favorite dishes, chicken mac salad with cucumbers … maybe spag & meatballs , too.
Also picked up some salmon yesterday, for DH & I, as others don’t like it.
DH & I experimented with the new air fryer yesterday! Directions are so confusing! Thankfully all our kiddos are proficient with using theirs, and he called a couple of daughters for real time use! lol
I messed up a recipe for Brussels sprouts. Which was fine, I did throw them out. I really have to read recipes at least five times before attempting them! lol
Today, plan to cook a couple meals, as well as bake a few items.
The next three days I have early morning appointments. Good re fresh first thing in the mornings doctors! However bad re my getting moving & driving in traffic to get to them! Praying I wake up, function aok, and get to each days appointments on time…
That’s all for now Folks!

Happy Monday morning! It's currently 88 at 11:15. Supposed to reach the mid-90s today so not as brutal as the last 2 afternoons. Those deer sound like they find your neighborhood pretty pleasant, Jeanette! Grandpups are fun. I'm waiting to hear who I should send a plumbing workorder to .... Nita must have tenant antics going on this morning - asked a question about a particular gal a bit ago. I'll be spending some amount of time this afternoon getting ready for small claims court in the morning. We're dismissing 3 of the cases and I'm hoping the other 2 are no-shows so we can get a default judgment and be done with them. Rumor is that one of those 2 has moved out of her apt; the other gal has let her grown daughter into her apt and that daughter's wild friends have been wreaking havoc on the complex. We need that tenant to take her kin and go elsewhere. We'll see what happens. Heading off to the police station to see if I can get a list of all those calls to the apartment complex so far this year.
