"Hit or miss" is the best way to describe the stores here too. I've heard there are some truckers slowing down deliveries as a way of pushing back against Biden's mandate. I haven't seen proof of it, just a snippet in a news article. Sooo many places here are hiring, but don't seem to be filling positions very fast.

Oh my - that's definitely a bad idea. Of course, having reduced the driving portion test to merely driving around the parking lot is only marginally better. I've got a boatload of dishes to put in that dishwasher. Funny how that happens when you do a lot of fun cooking at home. I think I'll run a load tonight, but not overpack it. I can do a load in the morning too. I'm a notorious 'stuff-packer'. We had grilled spam & cheese sandwiches for dinner, along with a pan of roasted cauliflower & broccoli, with a little brushed on the top and some black pepper dusted on. I sauteed a small onion & a can of organic mushroom slices & added that to the broccoli & cauliflower. It was all tasty. I have to find the video where Dr. Zelenko compared giving kids the c*v*d vax to child sacrifice. I thought I had shared it on here, but I'm gonna have to take some time & go back and find it. I may check emails I sent to my best friend over the summer. I totally believe Zelenko's right in his remarks - kids rarely catch the virus; they don't get as sick as adults & older people. I suspect we're being lied to over and over as much with the Delta variant & how it's supposedly walloping our kids. I'm not convinced variants exist - altho' it's true they do usually develop, but variants over time are generally less effective at sickening people, let alone killing them. I'm reading about how it's "illegal" to tell a person what variant they have - why? Makes me wonder if doctors & researchers actually can tell there are variants and which variant is which. This is high level, spiritual warfare. We need to treat it that way, especially as followers of Jesus Christ. Our 3 grandkids had C*v*d last fall and were totally a-symptomatic; if DS hadn't been as sick as he was, they'd have never known they had it at all. At the time, they were 16, 11, and 8. Stand strong - God wins this war; we simply have no idea how long it will last.

We just had a firetruck (probably rescue squad type - the 'beer truck' model), a police car, and finally an ambulance run down the street beside our house & turn in somewhere - not the street directly behind us so I couldn't tell where they went. It's unusual we have that kind of emergency excitement in our area. for all involved. Love you guys!

A little food for thought regarding the Covid Jab: The World Health Organization says it can't reveal how many of its own staff have been vaccinatedThe World Health Organization will not reveal the number of its own staff who are vaccinated against COVID-19, the Associated Press reported. "We won't have that because it's confidential," Dr. Margaret Harris, a World Health Organization spokeswoman told the AP. WHO isn't the only organization not releasing data on internal vaccinations: A United Nations spokesperson also told the AP their agency was unable to release the number of its staff that have been vaccinated. "We don't disclose this kind of information. It's something that is said to the medical service. So, no, unfortunately, we won't be able to give you these numbers," UN spokeswoman Alessandra Vellucci told the AP. WHO did not respond to Insider's request for comment. www.yahoo.com/news/world-health-organization-compiles-data-035255823.html

Good morning! Hard to believe this is the last Saturday of Summer 2021. So far here it's been a housework Saturday around this house. I those guinea pigs eating watermelon. That article on the WHO not releasing data on the # of their employees who are vaxxed makes me wonder if they've instituted a mandatory policy requiring their employees to be vaxxed by a certain date - or not. There was a really good video at the top of that article that showed Life in Manhattan vs Life in the Bronx. It was 8 minutes long and really interesting. Don't know if that's what will play every time that article is opened, but it's worth the watch. The statistics are incredible. Makes me really sad for people in NYC. They should move away! I certainly wouldn't live there! Attachment DeletedThe pushback on the vaccine mandate will be strong, imo. It's already ramping up. We've got the OU vs Nebraska game on TV right now. OU scored a TD on their first drive. Nebraska wasn't as capable & just had a big personal foul that cost them 15 yards. They have managed to kick an impressive 51 yard field goal to 'somewhat' recover. See y'all later! Have a great Saturday!

The temperature here briefly got up to 84 this afternoon before really cooling down again this evening.
Our extended forecast for the whole of next week does not show any day much above 70 with a few days expected to have highs in the low 60s and nighttime temperatures all week in the low to mid 50s.
Fall weather is really coming on fast after all of the record and near record heat that we had here all Summer.

Good afternoon! Beautiful summer Sunday outside. That's a great sermon! Thanks for posting it, Mel. We had a great sermon this morning from the book of Nehemiah, chapter 4, about dealing with discouragement. Things are good here - working off a 'to do' list for the day, and figuring out the where & when of the coming week. I really hope to put some items in the thrift shop on post by midweek. Hope you're all doing well! And have a very blessed Sunday!

Okay, have to share two absolutely adorable things Pup Fran did this weekend. First, yesterday, Edward was adjusting the burner flame on kitchen stove because he was going to make grilled cheese sandwiches. He leaned over to the left so he could see it better. Fran was standing in the doorway, watching him. When he did that deep lean to the left, she stuck her head forward and tilted it way to the left, trying to figure out what Edward was looking at. I fell out laughing, told him he had a helper! He praised her and scratched her behind the ears. I've never seen her do something like that before. And then, a few minutes ago, I scooped up the Spiderman comforter off the bedroom floor & headed for the laundry room. Franny was laying on the doggy futon in the living room and saw me. She raised her head with an awful expression on her face. I told her it's okay - Spidey needs a bath! He'll be back as soon as he's dry! She looked like she was gonna cry. That comforter is one of her favorite items to nap on, and even sleep all night on sometimes.

Good morning! It's a beautiful sunny day out there ... supposed to get up to 100 degrees today, with a fall coldfront coming in tonight. Tomorrow's high is only supposed to reach 79 degrees. We'll see how accurate they are. Gotta love these animals. May never ceases to find new ways of amusing me. The Spiderman comforter was dry before we went to bed last night. Fran trotted along with me and looked so happy when I folded up Spidey and placed him back on the floor. She slept on him part of the night. I'm stuffing the big doggy blanket (it's like a king & queen blanket sewn together so it's thick when folded up) in the washer this morning. It actually goes along with Spidey to make a pretty comfortable bed. It'll take me a couple of days to wash & dry these big blankets & comforters, but it's time to do that so they have nice clean bedding for the start of fall. Hope y'all have great Monday!
