Ok, it's just a little after high noon. I have a crockpot of stew meat cooking on the kitchen counter. That's my 'winging it' project. I mixed equal parts of oat flour and almond flour, added in some black pepper, garlic powder, and Mrs. Dash Italian seasoning and shook up the stew meat in that. I browned the breaded meat before putting it into the crockpot. I added a mix of low sodium vegetable broth, water, a 1/4 cup of red cooking wine, a Tbsp of worcestershire sauce, and a can of no-salt diced tomatoes. Cut some baby carrots and a small onion in chunks and added those. I added 1/2 tsp each of sage and cumin, and a generous 1/4 tsp of smoked paprika. Stirred it all up and set it to cook on high. Since I couldn't get the fresh potatoes I wanted at the grocery store, I'll add some sliced canned potatoes around 4:30, and I have a packet of curry rectangles that I'll break up and stir into the mixture as well. It will probably all be cooked by 5:30. I'm going to cook some egg noodles too, and that will be dinner. So now I need to stop playing in the kitchen and get onto some paperwork. Hope you each and all have a great Saturday afternoon!

May has her eye on my pop corn. She won't eat it, but she loves to bat the pieces of corn around the room.
Crazy cat!

May is a bright gal! She's inventive at making up games to entertain herself. Windy & cooling off outside this evening. Should be another night in the upper 40s. The stew was tasty. Tomorrow will be clean out the leftovers-in-the-refrigerator day.

On Saturday nights, I watch Columbo, which stars Peter Falk. This evening, I was wondering who 2 of the actors were so I looked up that episode on imdb.com. That led me to read Peter Falk's biographical sketch. It's pretty well fleshed out, so there's a good amount to read. And it was really interesting - I had no idea he was Jewish; had his eye removed when he was 3 because he had cancer; had a Master's degree, and was a CPA ... etc., etc. One of his quotes was about his character, Columbo. He said, "Being chased by Columbo is like being nibbled to death by a duck." That's the shorthand version ^^^. If you like Peter Falk, or Columbo, you'd probably enjoy that biography. Love you guys! See you tomorrow! I'm really hoping for a good night's sleep.

Good afternoon! We had another very cold 41 degree morning here. At church this morning, Pastor Adam continued his sermon series from last week by tying all the critical theory stuff into the concept of spiritual warfare and what the Christian response should be. I'm linking to the video of the service below. Sermon starts at around the 37 minute mark. (I should probably note that there was some problem with the sound system at the very beginning of the service, but they got it sorted out within the first minute or so and started over.)
After church, I had hot dogs for brunch with my parents and visited with them for a little while.
I'm back home now spending a lazy afternoon with May.

... luv that lazy cat, he acts a lot like our dogs after breakfast. Luv Miss May and her hiding skills too. Pretty afternoon, after a chilly morning in the high 40s. I'm very thankful it's dry - we are not having the fog and heavy dew we'd been having. Thanks for posting the link to Pastor Adam's sermon, Mel! I'll watch it probably this evening. Dr. Jeffress is continuing his series on Revelation, with a lot of great supporting scripture pulled in from throughout the Bible. Continuing to pray for President Trump and the First Lady to each make a speedy recovery from covid-19. Praying for the needs of each and all of us here at PF today. Thankful that God is omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent.

... How they do it in Missouri. Later: Well, we'd planned to do a little tree trimming this afternoon, but Sweetie's chainsaw is electric and we only had about 75' of heavyduty extension cord and we needed 100'. Oh, we laughed - might as well. We broke up some small limbs & put those in the trashcart. Better than nothing! We had leftovers from 4 meals - just enough that we both had a good spoonful of each. We laughed about that too - they made for a good dinner, they were from entrees we really like (Philly cheesesteak casserole; turkey cutlets with artichokes and zucchini; the sausage ring with sauerkraut & potatoes; and last night's stew). See y'all tomorrow if we don't meet in the air tonight.

Good morning! Feels like fall outside - it was only in the upper 40s this morning. No HOA meeting tonight - too many people on the Board have been exposed to the coronavirus and are having to quarantine. Not that they were exposed together in the same group, just in and around whatever they've been doing on a daily basis they've been exposed. That's a sneaky virus.

Hang in there, Jeanette! I hope it all works out and you love it when it's finished. I've been into Bible study about how "Government is God's Idea" - it's been good reading, something Robert Jeffress wrote & backs up with scripture, of course. Funny thing, my 'friend' in VA' who is a non-believer has pestered me in text messages ever since I sat down to read. She wanted to badmouth groups of people so I brought in the current topic of how God invented govt. She said that "sounded like some modern Bible reading". Oh, no, it's right here ... and I started quoting Paul's description of govt in Romans 13. She's decided that sometimes all you can do is "vote for the better evil." What an oxymoron that phrase is! Anyway, maybe she'll think about some of that Romans 13 business while she's deep into FOXNews today. Attachment Deleted Doctor's appt at 1:30 today, ob/gyn annual. There's the whole rigamarole to go through due to covid. It'll be okay, just mostly annoying. At least I'm doing something positive for my health. See y'all later.

Thankful your appointment went well, Barb!
DH has an appointment with the specialist in Wake Forest next Tuesday morning. Praying.
DH ran into another problem while attempting to put Sheetrock over where the plumbing crew moved pipes. So he’s sent a picture to the main guy, plus I suggested something, which he may attempt tomorrow after work. ;-)
Praying that this renovation project will move along with less stress & no more added expense.
Grouphug Good night
