I ran a few errands for my parents this morning and made baked fish fillets for an early lunch for us. At lunchtime it is still only 58 degrees here with a high of 60 predicted for this afternoon and a heavy frost warning for late tonight and tomorrow morning. Praying for the President and First Lady today, as well as all of their family & staff. Praying for the needs of our country. Praying for all of our members here today too, in all needs. Praying in agreement.

A heavy frost already ...
Edward & I have basically come into agreement that we have be warmer at night. It was cold in the house last night. We may not make it till November 1st before we turn on the heat ... We'll see.
FaithyJ is feeling much better today. She's had another dose of joint medicine, breakfast, outside a couple of times, and she's happily dozing now with an ear over her eye to keep out the sunshine.

Don't know if I want to laugh or cry: For $20 you can own a Dr. Fauci action figureUpon realizing that Dr. Fauci is quite the gem, FCTRY — the makers of exclusively left-leaning, American political action figures — decided to turn Dr. Fauci into an action figure. The Fauci action figure stands 6″ in. tall and it’s such a silly and cute idea that the company had to re-iterate that “yes, this is real.” You really can buy a Fauci action figure. On their Kickstarter, you can order your own Dr. Fauci doll for only $20, and for $40, you can get a Dr. Fauci/Nancy Pelosi double-pack because that glass case in your office needs a few more liberal icons sitting on it. www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/dr-fauci-action-figures-because-044914317.html

I'm seriously considering unfriending some people on social media over the way they are practically dancing with joy over Trump's positive Covid test. One supposed liberal Christian has even expressed in no uncertain terms that he hopes Trump dies before the election.
Of course, I've also encountered one person claiming that the positive test was a fake to get "sympathy votes" for Trump and one who thinks that Trump got infected on purpose so that he could expose Biden to it during the next debate.

I haven't been on social media today, except maybe really early before sunup, but I'm determined to totally unfriend anyone who behaves as you've described. Family, friends, acquaintances - if they run their mouths, I will unfriend them. Anti-Christian remarks are also going to get anyone I know booted right off my facebook page. Gorgeous afternoon here. I was outside awhile. DS and I have spent awhile on the phone. He's feeling puny, even took off the afternoon from work. He doesn't 'think' it's covid, and it doesn't sound like it is. He went to the store for some cold & flu medicine. We both know he tends to 'get like this' when the weather changes in the fall. He's supposed to call me over the weekend to let me know how he's feeling.

I'm not sure if it's kickstarter or the artist who referred to Fauci as "a gem", but I hope whoever termed him that realizes that not everyone agrees.

That's a funny dream, by the way. I shake my head, roll my eyes, sometimes snicker when celebrities say they're going to leave the country. I'm wondering why they just don't get up and go. I fixed a Philly Cheesesteak Casserole for dinner. Sweetie had floor duty till 6. He called to say he was out showing the trailer he just listed. I sooo hope it sells fast! I sold it 2 years ago to my buddy Kevin for about $5k. It was my listing, I didn't own it. It turned out to be what you'd call a "hangar queen" ... lots of drama. Dinner was tasty, & there were some leftovers for the weekend. We don't do a lot of leftovers, unless I plan for that and have something in mind to repurpose them. This time, we're just going to have 3-4 serving spoonsful of 3 dishes we really like, and we'll probably each have a slice of buttered bread to go with it. Oh, well, it'll be good.

Did you read any of the buyers' comments? They're priceless! Okay, this is the end of a camper belonging to some friends ... the artist is a talented local gal. It's "so" representative of summer in this part of the country. I this so had to share it.

Good morning! We are having a frosty morning here, but this afternoon is forecast to get up to about 60 for the high and then drop down again for another really cold night. It is really unusual to have such cold nights here this early in the year. Usually, we don't get this cold until the very end of October or early November.

Good Saturday morning! I had to meet a tenant's husband at 7:30 this morning to give them a copy of their lease (for the umpteenth time). She texted me after 10:30 last night. Said she had an appt at Salvation Army this morning - they're supposed to pay her rent this month. This could have been handled yesterday, but y'know how it goes with some people. Chilly morning here, but not as cold as earlier in the week. Still, this is unusually cool weather for this early in the fall.

Love that cat cartoon! If I ever can't find May, all I have to do is pop the top on any can and she appears in front of me as if by magic.

If I ever can't find May, all I have to do is pop the top on any can and she appears in front of me as if by magic. If I can't find Leela, I'll turn the deadbolt lever. Doesn't matter how quietly I do it, she knows!...and comes running. Edward made pan gravy with the drippings and brown bits left from frying sausage patties for breakfast. He wanted to try that, but couldn't find a recipe that made him happy, as the few he looked at made 8-12 servings. He's a good cook so he gathered the ingredients & winged it. Made enough for the 2 of us & it was tasty. He had me oversee the project, so I can say I helped, but mostly I just poured in a little milk at a time, and coached him to add a little more flour. We made it with almond flour and it thickened just fine. Gravy is pretty versatile.
