Hello ~ It's chilly this afternoon, probably will not reach 50 today. We had rain a little after 6 this morning. A quick, small t'storm that woke up PupFran. She crawled up beside me and pawed at my arm until I woke up. She was ok & went back to sleep, once I was awake. Dr. Jeffress finished the sermon series on the Book of Revelation. It was a great description of the new heaven and new earth. This whole series has been great - educational and uplifting. I've been in studies of Revelation at 2 previous churches, and they were good, but not nearly as in-depth as this one. Praying for all here today, in all needs and concerns. Oh, the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving show is on PBS at 6:30 this evening, if you're a fan of Peanuts. I'll be watching it.

Good afternoon! It has been a dark and cloudy day here. All day it has looked and felt like it was going to rain, but none so far. I started the process of sorting through some of my Dad's personal belongings. When Dad was a teenager he spent a couple of Summers working as a civilian grounds keeper for the local Army Depot. One of the things that I found tucked away in an old cigar box in his dresser was his ID badge from that job.

As usual, I'm posting a link to the video of this morning's service at my church in case anyone is interested.
There are some technical problems with the sound in the early part of the video, but it clears up at around the 10 minute mark.

It's tough to get productive today, in this gloomy weather. That torn rotator cuff is bothering Sweetie a lot so he's taking a nap. He has an MRI on it tomorrow afternoon. I've gotten a few things accomplished but need to put my nose to the grindstone & not read news articles online.

It's no secret that I have a rather strange sense of humor at times, but this cartoon of Joe Biden and Pope Francis really made me laugh.

Well, , since you brought it up ... I had to post the article over in News Unrelated to Prophecy about how the US Catholic Conference of Bishops is forming a committee to ponder on whether Biden should be barred from taking Holy Communion.

Carmen, aka Cricket55, asked me to pass along her condolences to you, Mel, on your dad's passing.
She & her sister, Terri, are planning to move back to their hometown a little further north in Iowa than where they've been living for a few years. I think they're going to do that in early spring. Their 2 brothers live there.

Good morning! Chilly and partly cloudy, but not uncomfortable outside. I started reading a great book, kind of late last evening, and stayed up too late. It's pretty interesting. Digital Minimalism: Choosing a Focused Life in a Noisy World ... You've heard that old saying, "So many books, so little time." Praying for all of us here and our family members. Thankful that God knows all of our needs and concerns.

Good morning! Love that meme. If I do need to go to the grocery store this week, I will be doing it either very early in the morning or very late at night. But hopefully it can wait until Friday morning when the grocery stores will all be like ghost towns because everyone who still shops in person will be at either Walmart or Target for Black Friday.

I was looking at the calendar and just realized that this coming Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent already!

Great memes, Mel. I've never seen chickens go after apples that way, but I'm not sure I've ever seen apples hanging that low. My 'adopted dad'(best friend's dad) was Scot-Canadian, and he was very active for a number of years with a group that competed in the Scottish Highlander games. He didn't play the pipes, but a good friend of his did. I'm sending that comic strip w/the turkey to my friend and her sister. One of the local churches organized a turkey give-away for today. It was scheduled for 2-6 p.m. They ran out in 30 minutes, reportedly. Cars were lined up for about 3/4's of a mile, so most people probably did not get a turkey. I put our 5 lb turkey into the refrigerator to start thawing out early this afternoon. I am going shopping tomorrow afternoon, but only to pick up a few items that we're about out of. I won't go again until probably around the 5th of December. We're hoping for a Black Friday sale at Tractor Supply so we can go pickup the dog food we want. It is so cold this evening, I'm putting on a coat to take out the trash. See y'all tomorrow.
