How could I forget pi/pie day?!? Hope everyone gets a piece of pie today! What's your favorite? I think that my favorite would be a three way tie between Apple, Blueberry, and Cherry. Boston Creme Pie is another favorite of mine even though despite the name it is technically a cake rather than a true pie. Edit to add: Now I'm debating with myself about whether I want to go to the store just to buy a pie.

I hear you, Mel. I'm thinking about picking up a pie on my way home. Not sure what flavor - apple or cherry would be my choice.

Okay, I stopped at the price+ store by my office & picked up a Dutch Apple Pie (take-and-bake) and a gallon of Blue Bell Natural Vanilla Bean ice cream. It was in the oven when I left for the car wash. Poor ol' Tahoe was bird-spotted & I couldn't take the big blue dog out in public that way. Stopped for a couple Indian tacos & now I'm headed home to eat. Edited to add: That ^^^ was all delicious! I'm so sleepy now. I have 1 court case at 9 a.m. and then I hope to grab a breakfast burrito & head to the commissary. Need to buy some dry dog food. I have to get a quick store list made for tomorrow, then take out the trash and go to bed. See y'all tomorrow!

Good morning! It is 65 degrees and raining here this morning, but our forecast says that it should warm up and be sunny this afternoon. I had a restless night. Nothing was really wrong, but I just couldn't get comfortable, and when I did finally fall asleep my dreams were really strange. Hope you all have a great day!

I'm a day late with this one, but it struck me as funny:

Good morning! It's 50, with a windchill of 43. We have a sustained wind out of the north at 23 mph, with many higher gusts. Brrr. On my way to court. And then grocery shopping. Hope you all have a great day! Yeh, I'd like a cup of coffee, hopefully around 9:30.

Good evening! It's presently 51, with a slight windchill at 50. The wind is nearly calm, after a windy day all day. It barely warmed up any at all. My trip to the commissary worked out well. I found almost everything on my list. It's real interesting how short the local stores are on turkey products, and mushrooms; frozen fish prices have dropped drastically; but eggs have gone up. Produce is a real mixed bag - some things weren't available; others were outrageously priced. For example, a single orange about the size of my closed fist was $0.85 each, and cucumbers were $1.29 each. We had fish for dinner this evening along with a batch of Spanish Beans. They went together so well, we cut up our fish fillets and added them to our bean bowls. The bean dish had a couple of cultural elements I'm not really familiar with. I figured out a work-around however, simply by adding half a can of Ro-Tel tomatoes with green chilis. I thought 2 cups of vegetable broth was a little too much, so I only put in 1 cup. It worked out deliciously. It's a Mediterranean meal, because its origin was in the Carribean. I'm heading off to bed ... It's too cold to stay up, and nothing good ever happens at night anyway. See y'all tomorrow. Hope each and all of us get a good night's sleep.
