If the weather forecast for the rest of the month holds true we will have less than 2 inches of snow for February. For sure, they got plenty just a few miles to either the north or south. Very odd! I'm not knocking it.

I'm not knocking it. I just heard on local news a few days ago that so far this year we are on track for the 3rd lowest annual snowfall total for as long as records have been kept for this area.
Our average snowfall total for this point in the Winter is 31 inches. This year so far has only been about 3 inches.
Our average number of days with measurable snow accumulation is 18. This year has only been 2 days so far.
We've had a couple of days this Winter that major snowstorms were forecast, but the storms either never materialized or ended up being mostly just rain and/or freezing rain.

Firefox updated on my PC a little bit ago. I like this message that was included: It's a whole thing to read - more than that^^^, and I'm going to read, or at least skim, through it before I close it down. I get tired of being tracked all over the place. Ha! Reading through that, I thought something opened in a new tab so I closed it - and ended up closing the whole thing. Fortunately, I found it in History so reloaded & bookmarked it.

Lawton's average annual snowfall is 2.3". Don't think we've had that this season, but I can't find any totals. I'd be surprised if we had any more - it's getting too late in the season. But you never know.

There's a crockpot of Great Northern beans and 2 turkey thighs cooking in our kitchen this afternoon. Boy, is that smelling good! Hope you are all doing well this afternoon.

Good morning! It is 27 degrees and sunny here this morning with a high in the mid 50s forecast for this afternoon. I just found May rolling around on the clothes that I laid out to wear to church. No outfit is complete without cat hair. God bless the person who invented lint rollers.

I the truth of that scripture. There is so much unholy, anti-Christian, downright godless stuff in the world today - bombarded by it at nearly every turn. Opened up the P&G coupon flyer from today's paper and there is a whole page dedicated to, and describing how P&G is, a "Proud Partner of MAKERS, a media brand that exists to accelerate the gender equality movement by sharing stories of real-life experiences that ignite passion and action." blah-blah-blah, yadayada. MAKERS has an upcoming documentary on PBS (another liberal bastion) "which covers the first Women's March through the US Women's Soccer team's victory." I think I'll pass. I'm not going to boycott P&G, but I do not support their actions beyond operating manufacturing plants for shampoos, laundry soaps, household paper products, etc. We don't buy enough P&G products to have an effect on their bottom line if we stopped. Bible reading is going well, but slowly. I think I sleep better the evenings I read vs the evenings I don't. We'll see if that continues. Hope you're all doing well today. It's dreary and wet here. Rained lightly for a couple of hours this morning. It's not warming up as forecast but I'm still going to do a little sorting in the garage this afternoon.

Mel, I am still chuckling over this cartoon: You might be surprised to know, we had an Archbishop over the Archdiocese in Okla City, from 1992-2010 who was an avid runner. He was seen more often - & interviewed - wearing his sneakers, running shorts, and a sweaty tee than in a suit or his official Catholic vestments combined. He was very blunt & carried himself as a combat-hardened Marine. I had a lot of respect for that man during that time period! He did appear to be a vast improvement, in his executive duties for the Archdiocese, over his predecessor. He is now considered to be an "Archbishop Emeritus". This is the only official photo I could find of him, and it was taken much later than the early-to-mid 90's.

These days it seems as if nearly all of the big companies support at least some things that are totally incompatible with a Christian worldview.
I fear that we are quickly reaching the point where if we tried to boycott every business that really deserves to be be boycotted, we would have no one left to do business with at all.

I think you're right about that, Mel. We switched from Pace Picante sauce to a couple others because we were trying to give up products owned/produced by Campbell's. It's rare that we eat canned soups, but I do occasionally use a can of soup in cooking. When I can find an alternative to Campbell's, I purchase it, but no one has a good line of creamed soups (cream of celery, especially is good for cooking with) so I shake my head and buy a can of Campbell's every so often.
Edward was so disgusted with the Sabra Hummus Super Bowl 2020 commercial - the one with the drag queens in it - that he said he didn't want their products in this house any more. I assured him we can whip up a batch of homemade hummus ourselves any time we want some, so no problem.
Those 2 items ^^^ are basically the extent of our boycotting any products.
A lot of the problem with boycotting a corporation is finding out what all they produce, and who actually owns them, and how many other corporations selling products you might use are they tied to? It's an awful web out there.
For example: Taco Bell fast food restaurants were all acquired by Pepsico, Inc in the late 1970s, but were spun off to Tricon Global Restaurants in the late 1990s, which changed its name to Yum! Brands, Inc in 2002 - but Taco Bell grocery items are owned by Kraft Foods, Inc, which is now owned by Mondelez International.

It's a bad dream kind of night. I was in the middle of one & FaithyJ rolled over & kicked the filing cabinet in the office. Woke up Leela, Ge'dogg, Franny and me. Haven't been able to fall back to sleep. Still rattled from the dream, which I can't even remember details of.

It is a beautiful sunny day here, but cooler temperatures and rain are in the forecast for the rest of the week.

I hardly ever remember my dreams, but whenever I do they are usually of the very strange variety lately. Not necessarily bad, just really strange.
