Good morning! Midweek already. Beautiful sunshine & cold. We have rain moving in tonight, the weatherman says. I was up early this morning and out back with the dogs. There was a light frost across the grass, and an overcast sunrise. I'm happy to see the sky clearing now.

Hi, Mel. Hi, Jeanette. Hi, Scott. I'm jumping for joy ~ Redneck Door showed up within 30 minutes of my call, and in a little less than an hour, they had replaced the broken spring, replaced some screws, oiled everything, and all of a sudden, our security system "GoGirl" announced, "Main Garage Door". The dogs started barking and I started cheering! edited to add: I'm trying to watch the Dems debate, with Bloomberg on the stage. That's not my party, but I'm curious to see what they're saying. Don't know how long I can tolerate it. I think turning off the TV & working on my Bible reading project is surely more worthwhile.//Okay, I didn't make it through 20 minutes. I'm on FOXNEWS, watching Pres. Trump speaking at a rally in Phoenix. //And that just lasted till 8:45. I'm determined to read the Bible in chronological order - thinking of the thread you posted, Mel. I googled for a list or chart of what that order is, and I've found enough info that I think I can do it. I am almost finished with noting where the Psalms fall among the OT scriptures so that as I get to each of those points, I can flip over & read the appropriate Psalm. That ought to be tremendously interesting in itself. See y'all later!

Good morning! Wind is roaring outside. The windchill is about 10° cooler than the air temp. Brrr But the sun is shining. I'm always more energetic on a sunny day than on a cloudy day.

Good morning! Sunny & cold, but the wind is calm so not uncomfortable. That middle cartoon is a kick- wants to be buried with an elephant bone to confuse an archaeologist.

She's playing like she's a spy. What a great cat! Our hounds have been out to play a few times today. The artillery is firing a little bit so Ge'dogg has talked me into coming outside with him twice. They're sacked out around the house asleep right now. I missed your first post today, Mel - that it was a 'mere' 12 degrees in your locale this morning. Windchill was predicted to be down around 17 here this a.m., but we didn't have any wind, so air temp was 21, and it didn't feel that bad. It's climbed into the 40s now & it's drying up a lot - yay!

Hi, Jeanette! Later: Did I tell you we're 'eating down the pantry'?, which we've done before to be sure we ate the food we had on-hand before it aged out. This time, we're determined to include our camping, freeze dried, & dehydrated prepper food. We thought we'd add it into recipes a little at a time or in addition to fresh food. We've had all that for 15-17 years, so even tho' it should have a few years left, we've decided we'll eat it up to stretch the grocery budget and see what it is that we actually like or dislike. We'll hopefully re-stock smarter than we initially stocked. I made a package of "Country Cottage Mac & Cheese" for dinner this evening. It's taking a little longer than expected to "set up". It's cooling now - hopefully that will help. Laterlater: The Mac & Cheese was pretty good after all. That mix was supposed to serve 4. Well, those were ample servings. We have plenty left over for Sunday dinner with meatloaf. Well, it's getting dark out there so I'd better run some trash outside & ask Sweetie to help me put some quilts & blankets, etc up in the hall closet. I run down fast once it's dark.
