It was a long day - a pretty good day, but I'm tired.
We have to head about 40 miles north tomorrow to look at a potential listing. I hope it's a good one.
Also, should get my new tires tomorrow, and maybe find out if my friend who's providing the tires has decided if he's going to buy a fixer-upper that I showed him a couple of weeks ago.

Well, Miss May may not care for dishes in the sink, but ... one of our pups certainly approved of egg cups left on the kitchen counter. We have (or more accurately, we had) a set of those hard boiled egg makers you see advertised on TV - and some dog managed to snag a papertowel, which popped a lid to one of them off the counter. That was fun to chew up for a minute - 2 others were pulled off the counter and chewed up too. Just the red lids, but those are a necessity. Guess I'll be picking up another set soon. We use them often. Our pets seem to have an egg theme going: May with the egg drop soup and your dogs with the egg cups.

I was at the grocery store this morning to pick up a few things, and it occurred to me that we are only 6 days away from Christmas and I have yet to see a single Salvation Army bell ringer anywhere this year. Most years they are in front of nearly every major store around here.
Also, very few of our local businesses did much (if anything) in the way of decorating for the Holiday season this year.

Most years they are in front of nearly every major store around here. Also, very few of our local businesses did much (if anything) in the way of decorating for the Holiday season this year. Wow! That is a surprise, sort of. Businesses here have decorated about as much as usual. The Salvation Army started ringing before Thanksgiving, which upset some people, based on the comments that were on a local facebook page. What's been odd in our business this year is that the title companies and lenders who've typically thrown an open house for us Realtors and others in the business with them haven't done it. Also, few Christmas cards have been sent this year. We have maybe 8 on our door, and some people have not displayed any around the office. I can understand that - I haven't sent any, tho' I have a box setting on my desk. I feel like there ought to be one more month left for wrapping up this year, but it's not there. Y'all have a great day! It's supposed to be almost 60 this afternoon, so I need to get onto an inside project this morning so I can be outside this afternoon.

Hope you've all had a great day! We did ... got some work done real estate and paperwork. It did not warm up at all. The fog rolled in heavier around 10 a.m. and it was drizzling rain. We actually had a fair amount of rain and it was chilly all day. I stopped at one of the dollar stores & picked up another pack of egglettes. We'll have hard-boiled eggs in the morning.

I'm feeling a little sad. I saw on the local news that the K-mart store where I had my first job as a teenager back in the 80s is going out of business.

Nice Barb, re ur π₯ purchase! GS # 1 graduated from tech school today at Sheppand Air Base in Texas. Congratulations to your grandson, Jeanette! Sheppard AF Base is less than an hour from where I live in Oklahoma. Is he being stationed there? That's a nice area of Texas, but then again, I love just about the whole state, lol. Sweetie got busy and made hard boiled eggs in the new egglettes last evening and that's what we had for breakfast this morning.

That's sad that another KMart is gone. Ours has been out of business for probably 3 or 4 years; Sears has been gone for a couple of years.
We have extremely limited options here - a small JCPenney's and Dillard's in the mall, 3 Wal-Marts, and several dollar stores. Oh, and a small Target, but I don't shop there.
We really need stores like KMart, Sears, and Montgomery Ward ...
Is this brutal cold supposed to snap before the weekend, Mel? It's really sunny and windy here today - should get into the high 50s.
I'm about to head into the kitchen and bale the dishwasher. Sweetie has an idea of what's going on and he says we can fix it. We just need the time together to get it done. We'll see.

I think that the closest one now is about a two hour drive south of here in Maryland. I was talking with one of my friends the other day about how all of us kids used to spend hours looking through the Sears "Wish Book" every year as Christmas got near.
Is this brutal cold supposed to snap before the weekend, Mel? It's really sunny and windy here today - should get into the high 50s. The next two days are supposed to get up to about 60, but then the extreme cold is expected to come back for the next several days.

Bwahahahahah That is such a cute dog! I've baled it so I'm going to now wash some dishes by hand. I'm waiting on my buddy to let me know if my tires arrived yesterday. If not, he's gonna see if he can get them drop shipped.
These dogs are wanting to take naps soooo bad, but they're afraid I'll do something and they'll miss it! If I don't go get tires in a little bit, I'm going to back to the stack of files on my desk. I know they'll take a nap then. They see that as mommy being settle down for awhile.
I'd have to google to find the nearest Sears. I'm pretty sure the one we shopped in Wichita Falls is also gone. That's about an hour away.
