I like that picture of you & your car. That's good marketing on the dealership's part too - show a vehicle & latest happy customer! That's pretty funny about the fancy names for the car colors. I agree - white, blue, red, black, gray ... that's descriptive enough for me. I'd never heard of St. Gertrude of Nivelles. I fell out laughing over that meme. Had to have a copy of that! We like Arby's Reuben sandwiches real well too. There's not an Arby's near us, so we don't stop there often but we usually get Reubens or gyros when we do. It's cold out so I'm trying to decide what I'm wearing to stay warm in our cold office. A green sweater over a green tee with dark jeans, I guess. (The faded jeans & old tee I'm wearing around the house this morning won't cut it. Lol ) I've got to head out the door pretty soon. Hope everyone has a blessed and happy Friday!

Those Reeses Cups are a riot! I don't know, Mel ... Don't think I could get on the outside of either of those flavors coated in chocolate. Did you have a Reuben sandwich from Arby's for lunch? Our house smelled so delicious when I walked through the door this evening. The corned beef & cabbage, with the other veggies included, were just plain wonderful. It was chilly all day. I was outside for the better part of an hour, well, actually, probably more like I was outside most of the afternoon, between 2 addresses where we've recently evicted tenants. I was watching a tow truck driver move vehicles. We had a car pulled out of an open garage at the 1st place. It hadn't moved in 2+ years, had a flat tire, no license plate, and all the doors were locked. We had no idea who it belonged to. When it hove into sight, on the street out front, one of the nearby duplexes erupted with people screaming, shouting, running in our direction, and acting all hostile as if they were going to start a fight. The woman in the group basically accused us of stealing a previous tenant's car. Um, no, we weren't. She banged on the door where the previous tenant had lived & basically demanded his ex-gf get him out of bed and stop us. The tow technician and I had to run down the street to look at the other vehicle, an older pickup truck with a rear flat tire, at the 2nd address. It was not a good candidate to drag so it went on the flatbed, and then we hurried back to get the car loaded up to where it could be dragged. No one was outside when we got back. The wrecker driver took a deep breath, grinned, and said it looked like the plan was moving forward the way we wanted it to! He was a fun guy to hang out with while he loaded those vehicles. I'd tipped off Nita while he was loading the pickup truck that she might "hear about it all" before we got back. She cracked up. My job is generally a barrel of monkeys and a load of laughs most all day every day. It was nice to come home and have dinner. I'm going back in the kitchen and put away leftovers and whatever needs put away. I may load the washing machine but not turn it on till early tomorrow morning. Hard to believe it's only eight o'clock - feels to me like it's much later. Hope you've all done something fun today.

Did you have a Reuben sandwich from Arby's for lunch? Yes I did. And I had a small order of their white cheddar mac and cheese to go with it. Our house smelled so delicious when I walked through the door this evening. The corned beef & cabbage, with the other veggies included, were just plain wonderful. That sounds really good! Hope you've all done something fun today. I don't know that I would call it fun, but I got the laundry done and a few little household chores like that. I also talked on the phone with my Aunt for about an hour. I'm feeling really sleepy this evening for some reason, but I am trying to stay awake for at least a couple of more hours before I get ready for bed.

I'm feeling really sleepy this evening for some reason, but I am trying to stay awake for at least a couple of more hours before I get ready for bed. I think it's the switch to daylight saving time. Attachment Deleted... I started yawning as soon as Nita walked out the door this evening. It was just after 5:30 and I was straightening my desk so I could leave too. I started yawning and I've been doing that ever since. I think it's the relief of the week being over. It's all been good, and not even terribly more stressful than usual. All I can figure is it's the effect of DST. I hope we all get rested up this weekend!

Luv it! I'll have to figure out a small fiesta spread for May 5th! It's cold & windy here today. I'm so sleepy, I'm thinking about taking a nap. I must get caught up with this time change. Maybe I'll just drag through the afternoon and set my alarm for 10 p.m. and go to bed then. So far, we've had a terrific brunch of pancakes and eggs. I've been picking up around the house since. At present the dogs are all asleep. Too chilly to play outside unless their hoomans will go out with them. Leela saw Edward heading for the den earlier - we were talking about moving some furniture in there. I watched her jump off the doggy futon, turn back to Milo & whimper at him so he got up & came along. They raced to the den door and turned back to Edward, both of them 'talking'. It was a plan! I'd shut the doggy door so they had to ask to go out. They didn't want me to open the doggy door - they were jumping against the back door & tail-wagging while giving him big grins. He opened the walk door and they all headed out. Those dogs stood around his knees while he opened the walk door to the backyard - they weren't going out that doggy door & risk him turning around to come back in the den! Edward walked around the backyard with them one loop - it was too cold to be out there without a jacket! Well, I'm going to check on the laundry. See y'all later.

Those pancakes and eggs sound really good! Did Milo and Co get any of that? When May was still with us, she loved eggs and she really liked the syrup that I used on pancakes and waffles. I had a couple of corn dogs for lunch, and I am planning to get some Chinese takeout for supper.

Edward gave each of them at least 2, maybe 3, bites of his pancakes. "Mommy doesn't share well." <-- They'd tell you that in a heartbeat, but they know "Daddy shares great!" so they bug him. There's a pancake left over so I'm going to tear it up in an even # of small bites and feed it to them in a little bit. They'll be real happy. I ordered some books this afternoon - from www.thriftbooks.com : The Immune System Recovery Plan: A Doctor's 4-Step Program to Treat Autoimmune Disease (my bff in SD recommended it) Knowing God by J.I. Packer Knowing God Study Guide I'm excited for these books to come! We've decided to warm up the leftovers from yesterday, split the meat, and eat the broth & veggies as soup for dinner this evening. Think I'll put some coarse mustard on my part of the meat & eat as a toasted sandwich with my bowl of soup. Hope you're all doing well this late afternoon! (I had to edit the link to thriftbooks till it 'acted like' an active link. )
