Good morning! It is 28 degrees here this morning on this first day of Daylight Savings. I didn't get much sleep last night. Nothing really wrong, I just couldn't get comfortable for some reason. I think that I am going to go back to bed until time to get ready for church.

At church this morning, Pastor Adam was out sick, so one of our other pastors, Brad, gave the sermon.

Good morning! It's a cloudy, chilly morning here. It was 50 at 11 a.m. but that's not feeling at all warm after yesterday's 90 early-spring heat. It will take me a few days to fully adjust to the time change, but it'll be ok. I slept good last night, after I finally fell asleep - I felt 'wound up' last evening. Well, I hope Pastor Adam makes a quick recovery. Hope everyone has a great afternoon!

I'm so sleepy this afternoon! Can't say this has happened today, but hopefully tomorrow morning there'll be a little spring in my step.

Don't forget to set your clock back one hour on November 5! Whoo hoo! But y'know, then I'll be all because it will get dark sooo early! (Really, I'm not as hard to please as this sounds! )

Sooo happy I'm not having to measure sand or carry large stones to change the time in either season!

‘Morning Everyone The heat has been running mostly all night & it’s set at 63 degrees Temperature here at 8:50 is 40 degrees, it was 39 earlier
‘Finished an album around midnight last night for 17 & 1/2 year old grand daughter, placed the order to have it delivered to DD#1’s new address.
‘Straightened up & finished KP, then rested on the recliner with the heating pad, around 2am. Silly time change takes me about two weeks to adjust.
DH took the truck back to the shop re a short in a front light.
Window guy due in between 9:30 ~ 11:30am.
Meanwhile, I’m still not functioning yet.
May you all have a blessed day!

Good morning, Jeanette! Good morning, Mel! It's 37 at 8 a.m. with a windchill of 31. It feels pretty chilly outside. The heat was on here just a few minutes ago. It probably won't quite reach 50 this afternoon. I had some strange dreams last night. Milo loped up onto the foot of the bed & Leela growled at him a little before 3 a.m. this morning. That woke me up & I was happy about that. I was in the middle of a stressful dream full of people I know. There was snow on the ground and the sky was heavily overcast - like a setting out of some Russian movie, and we were dressed like a cast for that sort of movie. I was cooking in big pots to feed all those people and there was something about a missing baby. I was on the verge of sobbing when the dogs woke me up. I got up and walked around the house in the dark, making sure I was awake enough to know that was a dream! I went right back to sleep when I went back to bed. Your photo album projects are something I'll bet the grands will really appreciate as they get older. That's a lot of work! I'm meeting the sheriff's deputies at 10 am to do a lockout on tenants we evicted in mid-December. They paid about half of what they owed but must have done something else with the tax return money they stated before the judge they would use to catch up whatever was left of what they owed. Plus the guy told the judge they would pay their monthly rent on time & in full going forward from the 1st of February. They didn't do that either and they have racked up 2 months rent on top of what they still owed. At the time, the judge sternly told the guy this lockout is exactly what would happen if they didn't pay as agreed & the guy said oh, yeh, yeh, he knew that. It's one of those old "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink" situations. The local schools are on Spring Break this week.

It's sooo cold out! The deputies & I stood around in front of the house for about 45 minutes. I was really wishing I'd brought gloves with me! I'm at Whataburger now, enjoying an egg & cheese biscuit & acup of hot coffee. Hope y'all have a great Monday!

Those cats in the shoeboxes are a hoot! Today's high was all of 45 degrees. It snowed at various locations around town this afternoon. I saw little pin point dots of snow as I was locking up the office around 6 this evening. That stuff was falling and drifting in the wind most of the 5-mi drive I had to come home. And I came straight home. It was too cold to do anything outside. I picked up a pocketful of change at 'that house' this afternoon, where we did the Sheriff's Writ of Execution this morning. We didn't get into that house till about noon . That's a really nice house, and once it's cleaned up, it should rent well. My top find - among all the pennies, nickels, and dimes that were laying around - was a 1967 Canadian penny. We went to inspect a house this afternoon and had a ball with the tenants & their 6 kids. We think there might have actually been 10 kids in the house, aged 1 to nearly 12. I suspect that's the fun family in the neighborhood so their friends all come over, and it is Spring Break this week so all the neighbor kids need to be somewhere safe while their parents work. We really hope to get that family into a larger house, because they could really use more space.
