Sadly, Satan may win some souls if TST does open abortion facilities. I'd read an article in which TST was quoted as having said that, in their religion, abortion is a religious ritual. ------- On a lighter note, can you just picture what chickens might look like if they sprouted front legs? Just had my teeth cleaned. Dentist & his assistant don't think I'm all healed up yet, & that I may have hit so hard, my jaw really is now out of alignment. Well ... heading back to the office.

These teeth are aching from being poked & prodded during cleaning today. I'm going to take some allergy medicine that has acetaminophen in it and add an antibiotic (I've got about 3 days worth on-hand so I think I'll use them up over the next 3 days). We had cod fish fillets for dinner along with some steamed veggies and coleslaw. That was pretty tasty! Our primary elections are tomorrow. Only the judge's race is non-partisan. There's only 1 primary that involves a few democrats. All the other races are Republicans. They've been telling us all how Christian they are; how important our children's educations are to them; and whether they're pro- or anti-Trump. One guy who's running for Governor has included a line about being a "Reagan conservative" (as opposed to being a guy who supports Trump, I'm sure ). I want each of the candidates I'm supporting to win, and WIN BIG!! And I want the RINOs to crawl off and either support people who are actually conservative or just stay under their favorite rock and let the true leaders run things. ... I'm excited about going to vote! Attachment Deleted

‘Morning Everyone
Today’s our 47th wedding anniversary!
Thankful we made the time to enjoy a meal out last Friday, as well as a movie.
I read about “how to clean one’s house is you invite company over”. Well, I was content to just move all the stuff that I’ve been purchasing, (for when the grands all get here from California & we have a party,) upstairs into the hallway! lol
We had a neighbor in last evening for dinner, hadn’t had him over for awhile. It was a nice visit. DH & he had a part of their conversation re New Castle, England. DH had been there many, many years ago, probably when we only had 3 or maybe 4 kiddos! lol
Anyway, our neighbor’s deceased wife’s father lives there and just the way folks talk & Americans didn’t understand! lol
This afternoon, I’ll drive to child care DD#3’s kiddos & get them to soccer camp.
The weather here is dreary, which also means my body aches more than usual. It’s 73 degrees right now at 9:45 am.
Yesterday’s Physical appt went well & the dentist was able to get the crown back on! It’s been 10 years since he put that one in!
Afterwards, I stopped in the ReHab store up in that area & found a few books for DH & myself to read, as well as a few usable albums for my scrapbooking projects! Thankful those three stops were all I had the energy for.
Once home, I prepared chili in the slow cooker, with precooked ground beef and then baked 20 lbs of chicken legs ~ two different recipes ~ as well as small, cut up potatoes. We also had a bag salad with our meal & rolls from the freezer.
After we ate & visited around the table for awhile, I proceeded to debone the legs for other recipes, since today is trash day.
Well, time to get some breakfast,

Good morning, Mel! Happy Anniversary Jeanette! It's a little drizzly here and lots of clouds. I don't think they're going to last though. It may be humid today. Weird night's sleep - I slept too hard, and had some drawn out, sad dreams. I was on the verge of crying all through that dream. I'm guessing my mouth was giving me pain & that's what was messing up my dreams. Glad you got your tooth cap put back on, Jeanette. That was a lot of cooking you did yesterday! I'll bet it is all with tasty results. Have to call the Board of Elections and see where they moved our voting precinct. The Assembly of God church apparently bowed out of hosting our precinct & we must have been rolled in with another because we're no longer in the locations list. Hope y'all have a great day!

My pastor stopped in for a visit early this afternoon. Then later my neighbor came over and mowed my grass.
I also went outside a little while ago and walked around for a little while in the back yard for the first time since before I went into the hospital back in early March.

I also went outside a little while ago and walked around for a little while in the back yard for the first time since before I went into the hospital back in early March. That's great, Mel! You must be getting comfortable with your new leg. I hope so. I came home early and made some calls; paid some bills. Called Medicare who has been bugging me about how I haven't signed up for Part B, or a supplement, or a prescription pharmacy plan. Oh, yeh, I have! The latest letter was rather threatening - telling me I could be fined and charged a penalty for not signing up. I called the number on the back of my card & spoke with a very nice man. He chuckled and wondered aloud "what's wrong with those people?!?" He assured me I have no problem! And then I paid some bills and went out to our new polling location - the nearest rural fire dept - and voted. I'm looking forward to the election results this evening! I accomplished a lot in 2-1/2 hours! I still have a couple of things to do - a bill to pay and some work in support of a tenant family (one of my personal tenants) being approved for the Community Cares Partnership people. That program is probably going to shut down so I really hope these people get their fair share of emergency rental assistance! It will be great if I can be in bed by 10:30 tonight. That's the goal. See y'all later!

That's great, Mel! You must be getting comfortable with your new leg. I hope so. I'm adjusting to it pretty well. I have reached the point where I can tolerate having it on for about three hours at a time before I need to take it off to let my stump rest for a while. The prosthetic is mostly comfortable, but it is a bit on the heavy side. If I am going more than a half dozen or so steps, I do need to use the walker in order to keep my balance; but if I am only going a few steps, I can manage with just a cane. I haven't gotten up the nerve to attempt the stairs yet with the prosthetic. If I have to go upstairs for something, I am still crawling up on my hands and knees and carefully sliding back down on my rear.

Good morning! It's going to be in the mid-90s today. The candidates I supported held their own. There are a couple of runoffs that will be scheduled later in the summer or early fall. I'm supporting MarkWayne (he had 44% of the vote), although I do like T.W., a Lawton native who came in with 18% of the vote. There were 13 candidates running for Sen Jim Inhofe's unexpired term. They're the 2 who'll be in the runoff. The guy I supported for our county commissioner seat & the fake Republican who's held the position for over 20 years will have a runoff. My candidate said he was pleased with the vote totals - he felt like the results indicated votes against the incumbent. He hopes to pick up the votes from the third guy that ran, and who wasn't all the far behind the 2 frontrunners. The incumbent Governor blew the contenders out of the water so he'll face off against the raging Dem who was formerly the education secretary as a registered Republican. She switched parties just so she could run against the incumbent Governor. She has no good plans for our children, which I sincerely hope people will wake up & see! She'd have everyone of them in masks 24/7, learning Critical Race Theory instead of history, and attending drag queen story hour in the school library. Yes, I am praying with regard to our government, city-county-state-&federal. I haven't gotten up the nerve to attempt the stairs yet with the prosthetic. If I have to go upstairs for something, I am still crawling up on my hands and knees and carefully sliding back down on my rear. Wow! I think going up & down stairs would be a challenge any way you look at it. Is the shoe on your prosthetic a permanent part of the prosthetic? I'm asking because of the styles I'm seeing army soldiers wearing. I see some people with a tennis shoe, and many with no shoe, but a curved bottom portion to the leg. <-- Hard to explain if you haven't seen it. Well, I'm getting calls from Lawton Housing Authority and tenants so I need to finish this cup of coffee I've been savoring and head to the office. Hope you all have a great Wednesday!

When I was fitted for the new leg, they measured my other foot so that I would be able to wear any of my existing pairs of shoes with the prosthetic. Something that is funny to me is that even though the new leg is basically just a metal pole with a plastic resin socket at the top that fits over my stump, the foot part looks like a real foot to the extent that it even has toenails and they matched my skin color as closely as they could.

That is interesting-& I'm sure there are a handful of reasons, psychologically based, as to the benefits of crafting a foot as close to a person's skin tone & with nails ....that's pretty neat.

Maybe it is just my weird sense of humor, but I saw a TV commercial today for Uber Eats delivery service that made me laugh harder than any commercial that I have seen in a long time.
