Barb, I thought similarly re the whole bird thing going on, also! Meats are higher here, as is just about everything else! I throughly enjoy the “Rapture” message, also! ‘Haven’t heard anyone preaching on the subject in person :-X So looking up, waiting & praying! Besides living day to day. You guys ever catch Buddy Brown on YouTube? Today’s was about farmers etc fertilizer … March 23, 2022 is the date it was posted Grouphug I'm so glad you enjoyed that Rapture message, Jeanette! Meats have gone up in price something terrible here. Skirt steak, which was 30+ years ago considered to be a very low class cut & was really cheap, is now trendy and costs $8.62/lb. Cube steak, which was also once pretty inexpensive, is up to $6.28/lb. I didn't buy either yesterday ... maybe shop 3 stores & find something next week. That ^^^ is really annoying, but we're being as pro-active as possible and we'll keep on keeping on, running that race set before us - and praying without ceasing. I hadn't heard of Buddy Brown, but I'll check him out in the next few days. Thanks!

‘Morning Mel! I am so thankful every time you post! Praying for you! Good morning, Mel! I feel that way too - always happy and thankful to see you here! Praying for you throughout the day. Good morning, Jeanette! Thanks for messaging me the link to Buddy Brown! We have a retired former post commanding general who has a column in our local newspaper on Thursdays. I think he's a great guy and I always look forward to reading his column on the editorial page. His theme today is, "What is this world coming to?" He included 9 snippets of things that make you go, "hmmm ". Here's the last one: ... Here's wishing you each and all a very blessed day!

Hello! It's a bright & windy day ... may reach the upper 60s this afternoon, tho' it's debatable. Hard to believe this is the latter part of March, considering how up-&-down the temperatures have been. Not at all typical. I've been hanging out with Edward this morning - he had some errands to run. His PC doc is retiring so he is having to get a new doc. He was moving records & making sure he knew where the new guy's office is located. Our real estate broker is in the retirement process too. He put his year-old Corvette up for sale. $87,500. He has a really neat car collection. I hope he sells everything he wants to sell so he sees himself as 'free and clear' to move into the next stage of life. He's in his 80s. I'm showing apartments and passing out laundry room keys this afternoon so I'm going to the lock-key-&safe shop next. Calling it a week once I get this all taken care of. Hope everyone's day is going along well ...

It's up to 78° - feels pretty good outside. I've been at the big apartment complex for a couple hours. Had to show an apartment. Passed out some laundry room keys. Broke up a girl fight - over that one. Solved the mystery of 'what' a particular light switch powers up for a new tenant. Solved the big mystery of the white van w/shattered windshield. And finally, loved on some tenant dogs. I'm picking up a large iced tea somewhere and I'm heading home. How are you all this late afternoon?

I'm having a pretty good day, but therapy has really got me tuckered out.
Lunch was Mac and cheese, one of my favorites.

‘Evening!
Plumber came by last evening & it didn’t leak! Turns out after more investigation that the Plumbing issue is a broken faucet (inside of it) above the sink!
Thankful I was able to get DH on the phone, as when the plumber started talking “plumber speak” I asked him to hold on until I got DH on the phone! lol
Anyway they both figured & I agreed, I could go to Lowes, pick up the same faucet and the plumber be by today to install.
I proceeded to close up the windows, put longer pants on, as I’d just finished a workout in old shorts.
Now I was hungry and decided to stop by the neighborhood Hardee’s for a burger, fries & sweet tea. I ate inside and just breathed. I finished up about 7pm. Thankful!
‘Drove to the store, went to customer service & waited. I hadn’t been able to find the receipt, but found a booklet about the faucet. I remembered that DH has a military discount connected to a “my Lowes card”, but when the young gal was available she let me know that “oh the system doesn’t go back to September, 2020. This model number wasn’t even showing up, either.
So I proceeded to go to the plumbing section, where a young guy was available to assist me. Nope, they didn’t have that exact one. I had taken a picture & had the booklet. I called my DH and they both told me to just pick a different one out!
Ok, great I told them both that I don’t do that! My DH & kiddos pick things out, I child care, I feed people, etc! lol
Plus I’m thinking of the holes in the granite etc this wasn’t a good idea, as far as I was thinking.
I told DH that there were too many to pick from, even staying with the same brand (Delta), that they all looked alike, but different! Folks, there was a whole aisle with three rows of faucets to look at and I reminded DH about when DD#2 was about two and we took her to a store to pick out one toy. She couldn’t choose!
I was feeling overwhelmed by way too many choices! Meanwhile, the young guy looked on a Delta box and they have a lifetime guarantee!
I told DH I was going home, try to find the receipt among the renovation projection info, and that when he’s home, he could handle it. There’s a sink in the half bathroom downstairs here. I also texted him the website to contact.
DH texted the plumber, no faucet yet. When DH is home, he will handle it.
Thankful. Grouphug

Thankful that this morning was “Grandparent’s Day” at DD#2’s kiddo’s school. …
Thankful that afterwards, DD#2, grandson & I went out to eat food. …
Thankful grandson & went “peg hunting” for hot wheels cars
Thankful back at their house, we played with the hot wheels shooting them across the floor …
I headed home a little after three to be back in my area before traffic got bad. Gasoline by DD#2 was 3.89, so I top off, also. It’s running higher here. ‘Dropped a bill at the post office, deposited a dental reimbursement check at the bank…
Met up to walk & talk with a friend, home after 6, just ate and now thinking of driving to spend the night at DD#3’s, for grands early games tomorrow!

Thankful grandson & went “peg hunting” for hot wheels cars Thankful back at their house, we played with the hot wheels shooting them across the floor … Ooh, I luv Hot Wheels! Jeanette, what is "peg hunting"? My brother had a big collection of Hot Wheels, but I don't know what happened to them. DS had a pretty good-sized collection also. A baby-sitter's husband stole a bunch of them, and somebody who came to our moving sale went into a closed area & stole most of the rest of them. I wasn't happy about any of those losses - my brother's cars or DS's cars. I remind myself they were all just pieces of "stuff", and it's okay to let them go. Plumbing problems - mmm, they're awful! I'm hoping the weather is beautiful all weekend - I want to open up the house & let the wind blow through. I'm going to watch the news & go to bed. See y'all tomorrow!

I had a few Hot Wheels, but most of my toy cars were Matchbox.
Most of my collection got sold years ago, I've often wished that I had kept some of them.
Hope you are all having a great weekend.
