Good morning, Mel! Mm, boy, do we miss you too! Praying your recovery is coming along well. Hi, Jeanette! Praying y'all make it through that storm without any bad effects. It's cold here - temperature is setting at 26 degrees still, even with the sunshine. The wind is supposed to increase and blow hard through Monday. I got up a little earlier than usual, but I'm hung up on the time change tonight so I want to be sleepy a little earlier than usual. Praying we each and all have a great Saturday.

Wow! That's terrible, Jeanette! Do you have any moisture (sleet, freezing rain, snow) with that cold & wind? So what are y'all doing this weekend? Sounds like the weather isn't cooperating to be outside hiking around or seeing the sights. I've done laundry & dishes; went through a couple of old magazines; and sorted a couple of shelves in the pantry - deep shelves that I have to stand on a step-stool to reach, lol. The one has several dozen light bulbs on it. At least 5 dozen are 100 watt incandescent bulbs, which we'll probably never use. We brought them back from my mother's house for some reason. They're just in our way; I don't know what we were thinking when we loaded them up. I'm going to ask around & see if anyone at the office needs any. edited to add: I rolled my eyes, but I have to chuckle too. I can't imagine what my parents would have used 100 watt light bulbs for, knowing their house as well as I did. Those people - I'll never figure out why it was they couldn't just do 'normal' things, like 'regular people' would do. Oh, my poor parents. We had delicious homemade reuben sandwiches for dinner, along with fresh tomatoes & cottage cheese, and potato salad with deviled egg. See y'all tomorrow.

‘Morning! It’s officially daylight savings time now. And at 5:30 am it is ten degrees here this early am. Going down to nine degrees before it begins to slowly climb.
Barb, it was snowy yesterday. We all would go out in short bursts. DH & DD#2 & a kiddo, went to a small store, about 6 miles away, for some supplies. Both DD#2 & us had forgotten some items at home. DD #2 & granddaughter had brought from home lettuce, carrots and apples for the goats & bunnies.
Thankfully the heat, water, plumbing & power continue to work!

Hello! Hope you're all doing as well as can be on this Sunday afternoon. Praying for you, Mel. Hoping you are getting good medical care and treatment. Also hope you can get online more as next week goes on and let us know how you're doing and what you're thinking. We miss you! We weren't awake particularly early, but we were up & around before 8 a.m. yesterday's time. I walked around out back with the dogs, then put on a pot of coffee. Settled myself on the den couch and watched Robert Jeffress' service. It was a really good layout of the 7 prophetic events that signal Jesus' 2nd Coming, and everything between now & then, along with the scripture to go with it. It was really educational - and calming, considering all the craziness going on around the world. Jeanette, are the bunnies and goats at a petting zoo, or simply running loose on the property and friendly with guests? I'll bet they're fun to feed and pet. I like petting zoos, but haven't been to one in years. I'm glad none of the systems in that cabin have failed. That's really cold weather! It's 63 this afternoon, sunny and windy. We're under a 'red flag fire warning' till 9 tonight. Our county has been and still is under a burn ban until further notice. It's really dry. Franny has acted like this ever since she got woke up enough to go outside this morning. She's barked with the neighbor's dogs; chased after Leela; came in & said she'd like some breakfast (so I fed them breakfast); then she came over next to me, grinning broadly, to say she'd like a bite of the sausage I was eating. I only had 1 sausage patty, but it was a good size so I cut off small bites for her & Leela. She went back outside and ended her morning by rolling in dry grass. She was so covered, she looked camouflaged. She's sound asleep in the floor now. Praying for safety, along with all needs and concerns of each and all of us here today.

Barb, there is a small shed type thing that part of it is housing for bunnies and the other part the goats can go in & out through an opening. There a pen for them outside. A warming light is inside.

‘Morning It’s 34 degrees here at 6:40 am.
Today we pack up DH’s truck & drive back home. First to DD#2’s house, which is 2 1/2 hrs from here. Afterwards, to our home, about 45 mins from DD#2.
We’ll unload & I think, grab the checkbook, drive to DD #3’s where her DH, our realtor Son-in-law, will help us to submit the earnest money (?) for the other house …
This weekend has been nice to spend time with our DD#2 and two of our grands. Thankfully there is the little goats & bunnies! Thankful for the snow that came & went! Thankful that DD#2 has enjoyed cooking in her “air fryer”. Thankful that the temperature is warmer now, too.

Oh Mel, I truly miss seeing your postings first thing in the mornings here re “good morning” “temperature in your area” etc Praying for you, Brother-in-the Lord. Hi, Mel! I second what Jeanette posted - I miss you and your posts too! I'm praying that you are healing well and getting appropriate guidance for changes that are resulting/will result in your life re: your surgery. Hi, Jeanette! Happy to hear y'all had such a good weekend, in spite of the wind & brutal temperatures. That's pretty neat that the grands had snow to play in. It's supposed to warm up here this afternoon, but it's still pretty chilly outside. I ran by Whataburger after my appt with the ortho doc this morning. They aren't open today because of parking lot resurfacing. Once I sorted my way through the unmarked sidestreet and big trucks, I got turned around and stopped at Carl's Jr, which is only a few blocks closer to home from WAB. They offered egg & cheese biscuits but for an outrageous price. I thanked the counter help but said no. I came home & made some lame joke about "not bearing gifts" and said I'd scramble up a pan of eggs with jalapenos & cheese for breakfast. That had to be far more economical, filling and fulfilling. I wanted to get on the 'net and check my bank account (tomorrow is mortgage-paying day), plus stop by here and say "hello" to y'all. I'm heading to the office & won't be on the internet till this evening. We're having tortellini-mushroom soup with pesto for dinner this evening. I really hope it's tasty. If it turns out well, I'll add it to the recipe forum. See y'all later! Hope everyone has a great Monday afternoon.

Good morning! It's 45 and feels like 38, so there's a chilly wind blowing. Praying for you today, Mel! Hope you're recovering well. Hope all goes well with your day, Jeanette ... I'm excited about your moving adventures. I've already had tenants on my phone - They're a part of my bread & butter and I care about them, even if they make me groan or chuckle. I'd like these 3 who've texted this a.m. to get a grip on reality, but it's not likely to happen. See y'all later! I've got to get some things done for my household so I can go to the office & take care of their ^^^ households.
