Well - I have to 'eat the big frog first*. * I'd bet anybody who's been in the real estate business here over the past 10-20 years has been handed Brian Tracy's book, Eat That Frog!, as a model for how to beat procrastination and deal with people you really don't want to deal with. Now there is an expression (and book) that I've not heard of before. Of course, in some places frog legs are considered a delicacy . Doesn't appeal to me at all, but I do like the sour gummi frogs candy once in a while.

Supposed to reach 62 today, 72 tomorrow and then low 80s through Sunday. The morning meteorologist was predicting we'd be running our AC's over the weekend. We'll see. Our long range forecast here is showing a high in the mid 50s for Christmas day. Other than that, the rest of this week and all of next week is expected to stay in the 30 to 40 degree range for the daytime highs with overnight lows in the 20s and below. At least there is no snow in the forecast between now and New Year's Day.

I know that this sounds like a bad joke, but I am being serious. I just saw a commercial for a local drug store that was promoting rapid home tests for Covid as ideal last minute Christmas stocking stuffers.

I even cooked them at home one of those times. They were always big frog legs - & they taste a lot like the white meat of chicken, and they're not too greasy. <-- unlike rattlesnake, which also tastes a lot like chicken but which is terribly bony and exceptionally greasy. I wouldn't eat a lot of things these days, frog legs and rattlesnake being 2 of the more far out items. Hmmm don't think I've ever had gummi frogs ... Are they sour green apple?

I've done my duty of watching those real estate deals for today. I've also inventoried the upright freezer, checked in with DS to see what the rest of their family's week looks like, and I'm about to go grocery shopping (not just pick up a handful of avocados, like I did yesterday ). Y'all have a great rest of the afternoon!

Are they sour green apple? They are a lot of different colors and flavors. Basically they are a slightly bigger version of gummi bears only shaped like frogs instead of bears.

Oh, that old guy on the phone reminds me of some of the old guys in my veterans group. I would have never expected there to be a single liberal in that group, but some have shown their true colors in recent times. There are probably lots of Gladys Kravitz ladies out there too.

At 3:30 PM, after not seeing them all day, all 3 squirrels were looking in the window at me. Once I saw them, it didn't take long for all 3 to be waiting by the back door.

Good morning! We are socked in with fog. Visibility of about 1/3 of a mile. This was supposed to be gone by 10 a.m., but the advisory has been extended to 11 a.m. Still supposed to warm up to 70 degrees today. I'm all for that! I love that squirrel express, Mel! I saved a copy of that one. The dogs went out back, quickly came back in & followed me out front to get the newspaper. It's a chilly 39 degrees, and that wouldn't bother either of them - Fran loves to be outside in cold, sunny, windy weather. I'm guessing the fog has them creeped out a little bit. Poor girls. We're going to run some errands this morning, and then I hope to make a trip across town to check on some leggings the ranch store has on sale - fleece lined, no less. See y'all later! Oh, and about those home covid tests that would make great stocking stuffers ... I'll pass. Isn't that kind of tacky? Makes me think of the home pregnancy tests, and home tests to see if you're kid is using marijuana. Y'know, thinking back on that conversation we had a couple days ago: The cashier yesterday told me a lame joke about Delta airlines changing their name to Omicron airlines to keep up with the times. I politely chuckled & rolled me eyes. Then he went on to repeat the POTUS' remarks about how the unvaxxed can look forward to death and their family's deaths and he laughed and said he agrees with the Pres., it's exactly what they deserve, merry christmas. I flipped out & told him the President is full of **it! The guy is about 6'6" and we were both masked so he asked what I'd said? I leaned across the conveyor belt & repeated what I'd said in my best command voice. He said, oh, well, he likes the guy. I assured him that I don't like the guy. Y'know, that's the first time I've had anybody act that way, and it's the first time I've flipped out on anybody in regards to any subject in a really long time.
