Good morning! We are having another beautiful sunny but not overly hot day here with a high in the mid 80s expected for this afternoon. I spoke with Sharon's Mom on the phone last evening. That side of the family is all doing well. I made a quick trip to the grocery store early this morning. The shelves were somewhat better stocked than I have seen them for the last few weeks but still had a lot of holes. Surprisingly, I saw almost no one other than the store employees wearing masks. Maybe people are finally coming round, or maybe the sheeple are just waiting till later to do their shopping. This year is going by so fast! 48 days till Halloween 73 days till Thanksgiving 103 days till Christmas 110 days till New Year's Day Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning! Bright & dry here. Supposed to be in the low 90s today. I'm hoping its breezy. Glad to hear Sharon's family members are doing well. This year is going by so fast! 48 days till Halloween 73 days till Thanksgiving 103 days till Christmas 110 days till New Year's Day Hope you all have a great day! Mm, boy, you're right about it going fast!! Hard to believe we're really that close to each of those holidays! Working off a 'to do' list this morning. I started with cleaning up a medium-sized whiteboard. I can't find any markers made for one of those & I wondering what we did with the ones we had. Well, I'll find them or pick up a pack at the Wal-Mart next time I'm there. We may be using post-it notes until then. Y'all have a great day, and avoid all the hateful people you can! (The gal who was screaming obscenity-laced comments at me on fb, y'know-the one I asked how her relationship is going with Jesus Christ? She unfriended me; her friends who are cousins of mine aren't speaking to me; and her mom - who's been a friend for a few years is crying over the sorry state of her own life. I'm just leaving them all alone - can't make anyone improve their lives if they don't choose to. Attachment Deleted)

Over this last year or so, I've had a few (thankfully very few) people that I used to be close with who have completely cut ties with me over my unwillingness to 100% buy into the current virus, LGBT, political narratives; but the way I see it - it is their loss. If someone asks for my honest opinion on any of those things (or any other controversial topic), I will gladly give it; but I won't stand and argue with someone who clearly isn't interested in having a civil discussion.

I'm kinda tired of some people this evening. The guy who showed up at our HOA meeting and tried to barge in and take the floor is a good example. When he was told he was out of turn, he needed to sit down and wait till residents had their time to speak, he literally stomped around the end of the pool area, talking loudly about a guy blocking his car in his drive and he nearly shot the guy over it (many of us were reaching for our cell phones at that point). The HOA President continued to attempt to get the man to sit down and wait his turn. The guy finally blew up and threw whatever was in his hand - some papers, I think - and cussed, saying residents are always invited to these meetings but why come when you can't have your say! And he stormed out. It took a couple minutes for all of us to re-group and continue the meeting. There just seems to be more and more of that sort of thing ^^^ going on these days. Meeting went long and I felt kinda fried when it was over. I stayed up & watched the end of Monday Night Football - it was kind of exciting. It went into 2 overtimes before the Raiders won. We're voting tomorrow for someone to fill the position of Mayor over this podunk burg. 3 candidates - the incumbent, a retired female lieutenant colonel can't or won't answer questions, and a younger guy who has good ideas, but for some reason is having to fight an embezzlement charge. That's humorous, really, when you see how the current mayor, several council members, and city manager have been moving money around - none of it appears to be legal, but I really don't know how to stop them. I think we're both voting for the embezzler. See y'all tomorrow. Hope I wake up refreshed.

There just seems to be more and more of that sort of thing ^^^ going on these days. I miss the days when most people - even the ones that weren't particularly nice otherwise - at least had the sense to use good manners in public.

Good morning! Feels like an early fall day here - lots of sunshine, lower humidity, and a little cool but in the 60s. Only supposed to reach 90 today. I did get a pretty good night's sleep last night, after all the drama that had me wound up from the HOA meeting (the grounds & maintenance guy ran his mouth at the end of the meeting and ran over top of my friend, the HOA President, and I really felt like him ). I miss the days when most people - even the ones that weren't particularly nice otherwise - at least had the sense to use good manners in public. Me too. None of us knew that guy who barged into the HOA meeting last evening, even tho' he insisted he'd lived in this subdivision since it was built. I looked him up, out of curiosity, in the county assessor records. He apparently bought his home in February of this year, so if he lived here before it was not in that house. I don't know if anything he was complaining about was true. That's the other thing I see so often - dishonesty. We're voting tomorrow for someone to fill the position of Mayor over this podunk burg. Maybe you should have run for office. She could keep that council in line, that's for sure. Leela & Fran had heartworm pills this morning. I cut each chewable into 4 pieces and hand fed them. They luv 'em - eat them like a kid eating candy. I luv that cat tree, Mel - hard to believe that Christmas is so close! The commissary finally put up a candy display for Halloween - not nearly as large as 2019's ... really wish I'd taken a picture of that display, it was nearly a 3-D work of art.

We had tall slides like this, but I've never seen one with a 'hill' in the middle of it. Teeter-totters are what we were wild about in gradeschool. I think more kids were hurt on those things than on the merry-go-round. We all wanted "cherry bumps" where the one who was up was bounced up off the seat because the kid who was down landed real hard. Good times!

Polls close in 30 minutes! We should begin to see vote totals not terribly long after that. My ballot was #305; and Sweetie's ballot was #306.

Luv that onion! The 10KW generator, with the electric start, that we want has been out of stock so far all month. The sale goes off on the 26th. I looked a bit ago, and it's back in stock, so we hurried up & ordered one! It should be here by the 27th. So, we're getting better prepared for the winter, and whatever else may come along.

Good morning! It looks like it is going to be another beautiful mid 80s day here today, but rain and possible thunder storms are in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow. I am going in to the hospital's physical therapy department this morning to begin the PT for my arm that was broken. After that, if I'm not too sore, I want to stop at the grocery store to see if I can get some of the items that were out of stock when I was there on Monday. Hope you all have a great day!
