Good morning! It is a dark, cloudy, and slightly chilly 50 degree morning here with heavy rain and possible storms in the forecast for this afternoon and evening. By 7:30 this morning, my little bushy tailed friends were already waiting at the back door for their breakfast.

Sunrise wasn't until 7:48 here this morning. I thought I'd see about knocking out the last of the investment course before I head out to the office this morning. I'm printing out some pages at the moment. edited to add: It's turning into a sunny morning, but the temperatures haven't reached 50 yet ... we're hovering around 48 on this side of town. Should reach the upper 70s today, but then it's forecast to hit 90 tomorrow & we may have terrible storms tomorrow night into the first half of Wednesday. Well I have a cup of coffee, the problems I need to complete have printed, and the dogs have settled down so ... Hope y'all have a wonderful Monday!

That they are, but I can't help thinking that it is a true blessing that they started coming round right after May's passing. Feeding them and watching them play isn't really the same as having a pet, but it does help to reduce the feeling of loneliness. Edit to add: One of them is looking in the window at me now.

I can certainly believe that. Y'know, those squirrels would probably like you to come outside & watch them play! These dogs are like that - they'll want to go outside, and they can be really independent & just go because the doggy door is usually open all day, but the one who wants to go out will come find me & ask me to go with her. If I go outside & walk around the backyard, the one who wanted to go out will check the perimeter, take a potty break, & if it's Franny - she'll find a favorite spot & roll in the grass; if it's Leela, she'll go hunt out the old pool; they'll eventually sit or lie down and surveil their territory. I'm supposed to stay out with them the whole time.

Good evening! I scored a 95% on the Real Estate Investing course - I only missed one on the final. There were several questions on capitalization rate, and one of them was confusing - I couldn't find an answer that fit, so I guessed. I'm a perfectionist, what can I say. I kept reminding myself I could have missed 14 and still have passed, so I had to lighten up. Anyway, Edward did a really sweet thing this afternoon. He loaded the "really old" version of Microsoft Excel and Word on this "really old" computer I'm using. I'll be spending the remainder of the evening working on one of those budget sheets I lost somehow (thanks to an update on this old computer, which probably couldn't handle it). So, hopefully before the end of the week, I'll be back on track. *Happy Tears!* Later: I have been looking through some old folders & found some wonderful memes (amazing how they can make me laugh or cry, and remember what was going on when I saved them) Do these two gals look related?

Good morning! It is another chilly rainy day here. Our afternoon high is not expected to get up out of the 50s. The squirrels must have slept in this morning. It was nearly 9 AM when they showed up for their breakfast peanuts, There is a strong resemblance. Is one of them you?

Girl on the right is me at age 3. Really muggy & overcast here today. We're having office pictures taken outside with the antique firetruck after lunch. Our Broker is quitea collector.

Barb, I was wondering about you when they did the eviction freezes. Did that affect your business?

Barb, I was wondering about you when they did the eviction freezes. Did that affect your business? Not too much. It really only applied, as I understood it, to federally funded housing. My personally owned rentals weren't affected. I have some really good tenants. They've struggled, but they've used the CARES funding program, and a couple local charities, to help with their rent. That's been the case in the rental dept I'm working in also. Many of the tenants are being assisted through the CARES program here too. It's really been a good thing. It's good to see you here, Heather, how are you doing?

That's good. I have heard some horror stories about bad tenants taking advantage.
One thing that came up after Ron died, looked like I would lose the house for a while. So I was looking at apartments trying to find something on the bus line. And EVERY rental in Houston took a maximum of 2 cats total. I have 5. I would have had to give up half my family if God hadn't stepped in with the insurance policy.

I work at Walmart now. I still do up the Scripture booklet in a bag of candy for pretty much everyone I meet. I go through a lot of candy; went to the candy aisle at work and it was 90% Christmas already. I had to dig and scrape to get my 2 bags of candy I needed for the Halloween handout (also Scripture booklet in a bag of candy with full sized Snickers bar). The nice thing I get 10% off the candy with my employee discount.

Good afternoon! It is a cool but otherwise pleasant day here with a high of 65 expected for later this afternoon. I had an appointment this morning to go in to the hospital and get new x-rays of my arm that was broken. A little later I went to my final followup appointment with the orthopedic surgeon. After reviewing the new x-rays, the Dr says that my arm is fully healed. He also said that the amount of bone regeneration that I have after just 4 1/2 months is at the point that it doesn't usually reach for a year or more in breaks as bad as mine was. I largely credit the extremely fast healing to fact that my Pastor visited me early in my recovery to administer anointing oil and prayer as prescribed in James 5:14-15. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. (James 5:14–15) Hope you all are having a great day.
