Good morning Y’all!
May y’all have a Blessed Thanksgiving!
I’ve been upstairs re my quiet time with our Abba Father! 🍁 (phone was downstairs) And personalized a verse from Romans 15:13 this morning ❤️
“Now May our GOD of HOPE fill us with all JOY and PEACE in BELIEVING that we may abound in HOPE, through the power of the HOLY SPIRIT! “
May we give thanks to our Abba Father every moment of every day!
Grouphug Prayers continue: for you & your Mom, Mel for you & your DH, as well as your DS & his family, Barb for you & your family, Scott for others who stop by

We got off to an early start this morning with a freshly brewed pot of coffee and assembling the crockpot and turkey breast. It's all going well. We're having a 5-lb bone-in turkey breast with an herb butter baste, roasted in the crockpot. We'll have stuffing & cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes & gravy <--all put together & heated up on the stovetop, and a sweet potato casserole that goes in the microwave. Dinner rolls will brown in the oven. Not much labor involved with any of that, and easy cleanup. We made toasterdillas with spicy bean dip & American cheese for breakfast, and we split an avocado. The dogs couldn't believe we didn't have eggs, they always get a bite of eggs from each of us (they're so spoiled ) I gave them my regrets but said 'no' to sharing spicy food. That's ok - it's not like they have no food to eat, it's just not as exciting as the scents from the people food. I can just picture Miss May giving you a "you want me to do what?!?" look if you wanted her to wear a Viking hat. I chatted with L this morning, she was having coffee & enjoying the morning with her nieces & nephews. Sounds like she's actually relaxing. The plan is to text DS when dinner is ready here; he's coming by for a plate of food. He came by and hung out for awhile yesterday afternoon. I appreciate your prayers, and each of you for being a part of my life. Happy Thanksgiving!

That's a cute little Viking smiley We had a great dinner with DS. He came by and chowed down, even took most of the leftover turkey home with for later.

Good afternoon! Anyone doing any Black Friday shopping today? This is my idea of how Black Friday shopping works ... me dressed up like a spy, sitting in my favorite coffee shop for awhile. If you want to improve social distancing around your neighborhood, or anywhere you go, here's a great ongoing sale. We went to Whataburger for breakfast this morning. The dining room was nearly empty, but the drive-thru line was backed up. ... we ate inside, like usual.
From there, we drove to the far northwest side of town, to Tractor Supply, and picked up 2 35-lb bags of dog food that were on sale. We also stopped at Atwood's, a Farm & Ranch store, a couple miles back east of TSC. They had a good price on coffee and a 10-lb box of Milk Bone dog biscuits. Edward bought a jar of honey that he likes, but it wasn't on sale. And we came home. We had a good laugh - none of those 3 stops were big spending events, probably didn't help the economy much, but they were sure meaningful for the 2 of us and 3 dogs.

It is at least a beautiful afternoon with blazing sunshine. It's chilly, and predicted to be bitterly cold tomorrow - the wind is roaring out of the north now, bringing us those cold temps. I have a big cabinet to sort through. Been putting it off, but if I try doing paperwork right now, I might fall asleep. Hope you're all doing well!

Good afternoon! Anyone doing any Black Friday shopping today? I went to the grocery store early this morning and then laid low for the rest of the day.
After all of the years that I worked in retail/customer service type jobs, there is nothing that I want badly enough to willingly go into a Black Friday sale mob.
I wanted to call our lawyer today to begin the process of settling Dad's estate now that we finally received the death certificates, but apparently the law office is closed until Monday for a long holiday weekend.

We haven't been in a Black Friday mob in many years. We are also not the types to stand in a line of shoppers that stretches around the building. There were no Black Friday crowds at Tractor Supply or Atwoods, tho' they did have a number of holiday shoppers. And, of course, nobody was fighting over Folger's coffee or 10-lb boxes of Milk Bones. The thought of that cracks me up. .... Let me add: We arrived at Whataburger at approx 9:30 a.m.; checked out of Tractor Supply at approx 11:15; and, after stopping at Atwoods & walking the depth of the store & back, checked out and arrived all the way back across town at home, approx 10 miles, by 12 noon. So, you know the crowds weren't bad anywhere we were. I refuse to do this 4 or 5 a.m. store opening stuff.

Good morning 😃
Yesterday, I got to a chair aerobics class at the gym & then walked 3 + miles with Samon, on the Greenway! 🍁
Lunch & a TV episode with DH & then we headed to the range! 😁 afterwards, we drove to eat at SIL #2’s Restruant that he’s a partner in. We didn’t let him know we were there until after we paid! Otherwise he wouldn’t let us pay. Restruants and all businesses are loosing money because of the dictatorship of government here in NC with their restrictions.
I’m child care at DD#3’s home today. It’s a sale only 3 grands (1girl) ! At home are the 4 grand daughters & DS#4! Smile
Got to go & play kerplunk with 5 yr old!

Good morning 😃 I’m child care at DD#3’s home today. It’s a sale only 3 grands (1girl) ! At home are the 4 grand daughters & DS#4! Smile That's funny, Jeanette! Sweetie has floor duty from noon till 4. I'm working on paper files at home & making a pot of chili for dinner. It's chilly this morning, in the high 30s with a mix of sun & clouds. We may have rain this afternoon, but I hope not because we just don't need it.
The dogs are loving this morning's weather, it's making them feel like dogs! I went outside with them, walked around a few minutes & came back inside. A few minutes later, Leela came barreling in the house, looking for me. She was 'talking', begging me to come outside. I wondered if something had happened to another dog, so off I went. There was nothing going on, apparently they just wanted me to stay outside with them. They were all grinning & wagging their tales because I was out there too.
I hope we all have a great Saturday. Praying for all here today.
