As for the appropriateness (or not) of the bunnies, I kind of view them the same way that I view many of the memes and jokes that have been going around in recent days.
Covid-19 is a serious matter, but humor and silliness about very serious subjects helps me to stay in a positive mood even through the bad times, while at the same time I am sincerely praying for those who are sick, those who have lost loved ones to this disease, and all who are struggling with physical and emotional needs due to being out of work and/or otherwise unable to get basic necessities for themselves and their families during this time of crisis.

These bunnies are so cute!, but I'm not sure this sends people an accurate message. Isn't it actually minimizing the seriousness of the coronavirus? If it really is as serious as we're told (- I'm waffling back towards 'this isn't as bad as the flu'), we probably shouldn't even be thinking about chocolate bunny rabbits being cuter than ever with a mask on. ... Not being critical of the chocolatier, just feeling lied to about the "real" agenda with the coronavirus. I am very firmly of the opinion that this virus situation though certainly serious, has been blown way out of proportion by the media and the political powers that be. I fully believe that in the long run the current quarantines and lockdowns will do far more damage and result in far more casualties than the virus ever could.
At risk of sounding like one of those crazy conspiracy theory folks, I have started to wonder at times if the real reason for this supposed pandemic and its related quarantines could possibly be a trial run for those globalist elites who want to usher in a socialist one World government. As for the appropriateness (or not) of the bunnies, I kind of view them the same way that I view many of the memes and jokes that have been going around in recent days. First of all, Mel, please accept my heartfelt apology if you thought I was being critical of you for posting the bunnies-in-protective masks video. I really wasn't. I agree with you about the value of humor in serious, sad, and frustrating times. I was still down the rabbit hole, having just read this article:
[b[Former U.K. Prime Minister Calls for Temporary Global Government to Combat the Coronavirus [/b][/div] This Brit, Gordon Brown, had this to say on that subject (emphasis mine): This sounds exactly like what you're describing, in my opinion. And you know, I just know, this set up would never be "temporary."

No apology needed. I did not take you comments as directed at me personally.
As it happens, the article you referred to is the same one that got me thinking along those lines a couple of days ago.

I was thinking about that line "the more you put economies at risk." I've been hearing that this Covid-19 "could be with us for 12 to 18 months".
I've also heard that we should plan to be sheltered in place for up to 180 days - where it's a crime to ee-ven go outside!
I'm sitting here with 7 rental units where people need to pay at the first of every month. I don't know how many of the tenants will be able to pay, and if they are able to pay, will they pay, or blow off the responsibility? Small claims court is currently not being held because the county courthouse is shut down - and will be shut down until at least April 15th, so that's the earliest I could even file to evict. Meanwhile, those who I suspect may give me a problem about paying are on Social Security disability or VA disability so you know they will get their checks even tho' they will likely tell me they didn't get them. My high-value property is rented to a family great artists, but I don't know if they're working at home, or what they're doing and if they will get paid on work they're managing to deliver. <- those people will pay me if at all possible.
I am not the only rental property owner/manager who is holding her breath, waiting to see how this coronavirus mess plays out. Many of my fellow realtors are likewise not breathing.
We can't - as a nation - stay closed down and not work! We've got to be earning money or the economy of this country will go belly up in a few months. And then the US really does start to look like Venezuela.
I am praying it does not come to any drastic days like that ^^^.

Another thing that I am somewhat concerned about is how long this current state of affairs with so many restrictions and shortages of even basic necessities can go on before we start seeing rioting in the streets and looting on a large scale especially in some of the bigger cities where racial tensions and class tensions have already been near the boiling point for some time due largely to the irresponsible hate mongering by the ratings hungry media and certain hyper liberal political elements in recent years.
I'm thinking that there is a good chance that the birth pains that are referred to Bible prophecy are starting to come very close together.

Some thoughts: What struck me about the bunnies is they're soothing, lulling the masses into acceptance ... things aren't all that bad; we'll be okay; we're all in this together and great things are going to happen as soon as this ends! I keep seeing memes about how "see how easy you're all going along with the state shutdowns? can't wait to see how fast you roll over and play dead when the antichrist comes!" ____________ Martial law is occurring in some places in the country - Chicago, for one. I have a friend in Georgia who is terrified at the idea she might just get out of bed and go out in the backyard with her dogs because they've been ordered to stay in their houses or face arrest. She's equally terrified of the coronavirus - she believes everyone who comes down with it will die, no matter how much I remind her (from states away) of the high recovery rate. She's not handling this well at all. ... and many other people aren't either. _____________ Yesterday I received a message - one of those things you're encouraged to pass along to some number of your friends. It was a handwritten copy of the 23rd Psalm. The receiver is to pray it, then pass it on - and when we hit some huge number of people who've received the message, and prayed, God will remove the corona virus. I didn't participate in that ^^^, for a few reasons. I don't think there's anything wrong with praying for a cessation of cases around the world. But I think that alone is short-sighted. I think what we need to be praying for is repentance and revival to occur around the world - a massive wave of people repenting of personal sins and national sins, and then turning to Jesus Christ in brokenness. That's my ... and now I'm heading off to bed.

Hi, Jeanette, and Mel, and Scott! We've not been real active at much of anything today. Finally fixed breakfast-for-lunch. I have to get around this afternooon & pay OG Tony - the friend who had the massive heart attack - for mowing one of my rental properties yesterday. He'd led me to believe he is well enough to work. But he sounded terrible yesterday afternoon, after finishing the mowing. I asked him if he's back to work at the youth home? Oh, not until he sees his doctor - and he admitted he hasn't yet been cleared to go back to work, and he was wiped out from mowing. I have a tenant with a checkered past at the location where we have 9 units (2 for our uses & 3 occupied; 4 trashed ); he's real OCD, and he has to be busy about 250% of the time (a tweaker, but he doesn't appear to be using at present). He paid some rent yesterday & asked if he could mow for credit toward some rent he still owes? I agreed to that, but told him this may only be a one-time thing, because it's still Tony's job (if he's able to do it this summer). I have one more place that I have to get mowed probably at the end of the week - it wasn't shaggy when I drove by a few days ago. Still don't have my own yard mowed, and I'm beginning to think I'll need to find someone else. This TJ guy is not really a brother to Quay - he's apparently a best friend from childhood all the way through to the end of Quay's life. I don't know if he' really not that motivated to get the lawn business going, or if he really has come down with something (hopefully not covid-19). Our backyard has to get mowed - it's a health & welfare matter, in my opinion. (putting on my Army thinking & way of doing business) Okay, off to get things done. See y'all later ~

Well ... the President has extended the 'shelter-in-place' idea till April 30th. There's still next to nothing at the grocery stores. We took 8 rolls of paper to DS & L, along with a couple of rolls of paper towels. DS was telling the youngest to stop munching out of a box of shortbread cookies, reminding him that 1) he wasn't hungry; and 2) there's nothing at the grocery stores so snacks need to last a long time. He commented that the 2 little kids are old enough not to act so little any more - they are 7 & 11. Doesn't it feel weird to have a census going on in the midst of this covid-19 nonsense? Finally had a good chat with lawnmower man JT. He's planning to send a couple of people over here to mow in the morning before the rain sets in. I hope that works out! I couldn't find OG Tony - was actually afraid he might have landed back in the hospital! He finally called to say he'd gone fishing with his parents. He has a doctor's appt tomorrow, finally - and he admitted he has pneumonia! And he mowed tall grass & cut up 3 trees. Dumb, dumb, dumb! He didn't need to be doing that! I told him so too - added that he can't work for me till the doctor clears him to go back to work! Bet that doesn't happen tomorrow! Must get out the trash ... and then go to bed. I'm planning to finally put a piece of corned beef into the crockpot tomorrow so need to start early. It needs to cook 8 hours. See y'all tomorrow!

Good morning! It was chilly in the house overnight & only in the 50s this morning. Supposed to have rain by mid-morning. I'm really hoping it holds off until these guys get over here and mow the yard!
