Good morning, Mel! Does Miss May stretch & yawn like that kitty does? Beautiful morning here - started out a little foggy, but the sun is taking care of all that.
Not much traffic out this morning. I took our buddy to pay his utility bills & make a supply run at Dollar General. He hadn't been to the store in a couple weeks. He was shocked. He was happy he got just about everything he needed. Said he was happy he didn't need t.p. I have to ask DS if the kids have received any 'school at home' info yet. Oklahoma schools are out for the rest of the semester. I'll be happy to teach some hands on science, if they let me know what levels they're at. Heading to the office shortly ... want to wrap things up there. Sweetie said there's not as much left as I think. We'll see if I think that's true.

Good morning, Mel! Does Miss May stretch & yawn like that kitty does? She does. It is amazing how much space she can take up on the bed when she is fully stretched out.
She is also quite the loud snorer at times.

He was happy he got just about everything he needed. Said he was happy he didn't need t.p. The stores here have been doing better at keeping most things in stock for the last several days, but the toilet paper is still hard to come by unless you just happen to be at the store right when it gets there. Thankfully, neither I nor my parents will be needing any of that for some time yet. We didn't do any Corona Virus hoarding, we just happened to have a good supply on hand already due to usually buying the bigger packs of TP and paper towels so that we don't need to get it very often.
I was amused by the announcement that was playing every few minutes the last time I was at the grocery store. It urged the customers to stay at least 6 feet away from each other. I want to know how we are supposed to do that when most of the aisles are not even 6 feet wide? There is barely room for two people moving in opposite directions with their carts to pass one another let alone leave 6 feet in between.

I haven't been to Wal-Mart in a week or more so no idea what their shelves look like. I'm going sometime today. Only want a couple of things - mainly avocados. I'll be really sad if I can't find avocados. We really love them. We drove through Sam's Club parking lot on the way to the check cashing/utility payment store. There was a line of people from the front door all the way along the width of the building. They were maintaining a shopping cart distance between people. There was an employee at either end of the line - acting like a playground monitor. Our buddy & I looked at each other & shook our heads. We watched one guy attempt to cut in line, gonna say he was with somebody, but that person said no, and the monitor shooed the guy to the end of the line. The guy riding with me laughed - said that ol' boy would've been whooped up on if he'd successfully cut line. Could have been true.

Lol, Mel, that's a good one. DS asked me to let him know I saw t.p. anywhere-his household was down to 3 rolls. I went to Wal-Mart finally this evening & they had a handful of 4-roll pkgs of 2-ply t.p. Only 68 cents/pk. I picked up 1 for him-that's all we could buy. I'm worn out - so is Edward. DS & the kids finished moving furniture this afternoon. We have 1 printer, the 2 computers, & a casual chair, plus a few bags of files & office supplies.

Good morning! Beautiful skies here ... a few clouds but no rain in the forecast. Really odd thing about 7:30 this morning. I was out back with the dogs and they were barking, like somebody was walking down the street. I could see 'something' through the wood fence a little bit but couldn't tell details. All of a sudden, 'it' raised up above the fence and it was actually a small turkey buzzard. It few up and perched on the backstop of the ball diamond across the street. Left me wondering if there's something dead in the road on down the street. We had a small, quick thunderstorm around 3 a.m. The lightning was really sharp but when the storm finally arrived, it didn't amount to much and had moved on in a few minutes. It's pretty dry out this morning so I'm hoping the lawn man arrives soon. Y'all have a great Saturday ...

A bakery in Switzerland is making chocolate Easter bunnies that are wearing protective masks. These bunnies are so cute!, but I'm not sure this sends people an accurate message. Isn't it actually minimizing the seriousness of the coronavirus? If it really is as serious as we're told (- I'm waffling back towards 'this isn't as bad as the flu'), we probably shouldn't even be thinking about chocolate bunny rabbits being cuter than ever with a mask on. ... Not being critical of the chocolatier, just feeling lied to about the "real" agenda with the coronavirus.

Humid, stuffy afternoon. We went to the office & brought some bags home, plus my computer. I'll be deep-sixing this one, finally, in the next few days. I think. We had a extra TV ... Radio Shack brand. It had been my mother's - we picked it up for her in 2012 when we made home repairs to her house. I suspect she had it turned on pretty much 24/7 for awhile. We brought it back when we cleaned out her house & moved her to Oklahoma. Edward moved it into my home office & hooked it up. First, we figured out the remote didn't work so tossed it into the trash. He turned on the TV & could not get a picture - the screen was totally black. The set made a popcorn-popping noise repeatedly. Okay, it's going out in the trash on Monday for pickup on Tuesday. One less thing to keep around that doesn't work.

I am very firmly of the opinion that this virus situation, though certainly serious, has been blown way out of proportion by the media and the political powers that be.
I fully believe that in the long run the current quarantines and lockdowns will do far more damage and result in far more casualties than the virus ever could.
At risk of sounding like one of those crazy conspiracy theory folks, I have started to wonder at times if the real reason for this supposed pandemic and its related quarantines could possibly be a trial run for those globalist elites who want to usher in a socialist one World government.
