😳🙄🤐 Well it’s officially here in Mecklenburg County, as a “Stay at Home Order” has been issued . Starting tomorrow at 8 am and going until April 16th. (Tentatively ) There’s 127 cases of the C-virus in this county ... May go to grocery store as needed, help others, walk animals, go on the greenway ... 😠 already been doing so DH starts to “work from home” tomorrow Everything has pretty much been closed for the past week, now more so ... Whoa! 127 cases in your county alone! Mercy, Jeanette - y'all be careful out there!
We don't have a statewide 'Shelter-in-Place' order yet. Non-essential trips anywhere are basically discouraged.
Yesterday, more places in this town were ordered closed - hair salons & barbershops, nail salons, tattoo shops, and massage parlors. All non-essential businesses are encouraged to close, and many have, but not all.
We went out this afternoon to look at grass height on a couple of rentals, and stop at the office. We went through the drive-thru at Taco Bell, made a stop at Dollar General for paper towels for the office, and came home.
rant/I ended up pretty grumpy because our rental manager isn't gettin' a move on at signing over the bank accounts for the rentals. Getting this all ready to do in the morning was a big project today. It should have been done before the end of last week, really. The gal we're selling to is as aggravated as I am, we want the deal done & the accounts transferred. As much as this guy wants to retire, I'd have thought he'd have been jumping up & down last week to meet at the bank & sign himself off the accounts; Edward & I sure are! And the realtor buying the rentals is chomping at the bit to sign onto those accounts so she can start depositing money into them. ... y'know, here we are, trying to avoid people as much as possible, having to still work when/where we can, having to make an appt to even get into the bank lobby, and our team member who's retiring is stalling, stalling, stalling. Hoping it works out in the next 2 days & is done by close of business Friday. /end of rant - I'm exhaling now.

Praying for an end to this virus threat and insanity Praying that our Abba Father will send Jesus to call us up to meet Him in the air very soon Praying for the continued protection & provisions for everyone esp police, health care workers, firefighters, ... Praying for healing & full recovery for those who have been affected by this virus May God have mercy on America, forgive us our sins, restore America to once again an overall Believe in God nation, remove the darkness of this virus and so forth Asking these requests & others in Jesus’ name, amen Praying also that the abortion places would be shut down instead of being considered A medically necessary place of death (We don’t have a say in any of this ~ that is more annoying than the threat of the virus ) Group hug 🤗 Social distancing Bah humbug Praying in agreement for all of the above to occur. I'm praying this is in God's timetable, to end this coronavirus and heal those who are ill with it.
Praying for God's hedge of protection to be around you & your dh, Jeanette, and around you children and their families as they go about their daily lives.
Praying for God's hedge of protection as well to be around you & your family members, Mel ... and around you & your family members, Scott.
Well ... the mayor is going to be on the 10 o'clock news "with even stricter requirements" - gotta see what that is.
to y'all!

There was a story about the Mayor's upcoming announcement in the morning. I haven't been able to tear myself away from a guy's timeline on facebook. He has the funniest posts - tho' not all appropriate - and I had to save some of them to email various friends who are not on facebook. And now I really must go to bed! I love y'all , and I'll see you tomorrow! (really, later today as it's after midnight. )

That's pretty cool - Hungry, Hungry Hippos! I luv it! Trekking off to the grocery store ... We've about 98% solved our get-our-team-out-of-the-rental-management-business. (doesn't involve my personally owned rentals, which I'll hopefully be able to sell before the end of the year.) Hope y'all are having a great Wednesday afternoon.

Not sleeping last night is finally catching up to me. I think I'll be in bed by 10 tonight, if not a little earlier. The shelves were so empty at the post commissary, I felt like I was in a daze walking through the store. In many cases, I picked up the last 2 cans of some type of beans or the only box of a certain broth. That happened all over the store. I suspect the store will be closed soon - tho' hopefully that will only be temporary. Ft. Sill has gone to a Health Protection Condition Charlie - a big uptick in the serious expectation of disease and plan implementation to control or prevent it.

Good morning! Gonna be a steamy hot, spring day here; may reach 92 degrees this afternoon.
Our state governor has declared today, March 26th, a day of prayer.
Hope we get a lot of stuff moved home from our office today, recyclables to the recycle point on post, and more spring cleaning accomplished.
Hope y'all have a great day too!

We set a new record high temp yesterday. Not sure if it was 90 or 92, but it was hot.
Ge'dogg went swimming 4 or 5 times. He was so happy to be back in the water. Leela doesn't swim, but she goes in deep enough that she can hunker down, shake, & throw water up on her back. Fran went swimming twice. I turned the A.C. on & they napped part of the afternoon.
The frogs arrived early last week. I counted 9 last night in th old pool. They sang all night - still are singing.
