After church, I decided to try one of Burger Kings new Fiery Hot Fish Sandwiches for my lunch. It was pretty tasty but not nearly as hot and spicy as the commercials seemed to imply. According to our weather forecast, today and tonight should be the last of the really cold and windy weather for a while. The rest of the week is predicted to have temps in the upper 50s and 60s.

Making some headway on spring cleaning. We broke down a bunch of cardboard boxes & I hauled them to recycle yesterday. We've put together a donation for the Food Bank. I didn't get too far on the bag of clothes to donate, but it'll be done sometime this week, I think. It's just chilly-damp and raining occasionally. Nikki keeps inviting me to come take a nap with her. She's a funny dog - stood up on my knee after breakfast, with her rope toy in her mouth; she pushed her muzzle my direction, wanting me to bite onto the rope and play with her. I told her I have to play with my hands! (Not putting that rope in my mouth! ) We played a few rounds of tug o' war and then she ran off to pester Milo. I'm looking for a baked brie recipe at the moment, enjoying a cup of coffee. I'll be starting a pot of chili shortly. It really is a good day for chili! Haven't seen the BK commercials for the fiery fish sandwiches around here, yet, Mel. They may be a coming soon item. If I see a commercial, I may swing through the drive thru and pick up a couple for dinner one afternoon. Taco Mayo has been advertising 'shrimp tacos on Friday' through this Lenten season. That's a bit different. The Catholic population here is small, and seafood & fish are not typically advertised items, outside of Red Lobster and Long John Silver's. I've had some interesting shows on TV this weekend for background noise. Right now, Big Trouble in Little China is on. Yesterday, a couple of hours of Aliens were on. Can't say I've watched any of it too closely.

We had clear skies most of today, but this evening the clouds are rolling in, so it probably isn't going to be a good night for viewing the blood moon eclipse.
If I happen to be up around 3AM, I might go out and look just in case, but I'm not going to bother setting the alarm on the off chance that the sky might clear.

Oh, I agree with you, Mel. It's really cloudy here, even tho' the rain has pretty much cleared out directly overhead. I think it would be too cold, wet, & cloudy to see much of anything. I've sometimes gotten up, or stayed up, depending on what I was hoping to see, but the weather here doesn't support that tonight. Our chili was delicious. There's a little leftover so we'll finish it off in the next day or two. Hope y'all have a great rest of the evening, and sleep well tonight. Edited to add: I was just reading about the April 8th eclipse that's coming. How the path starts in Jonah, TX crosses 6 towns with the name of Nineveh, and also Rapture, IN and The Ark in Williamston, KY. Additionally, the eclipse takes place under the constellation Cetus, which is the Whale. Some of the comments were interesting. One of my fb friends shared the photos on her page & I commented there that, while I'll be thrilled if the rapture occurs 40 days later, Matt 24:36 (NASB 1995) tells us “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone." I am not a date setter; I am not even a date speculator! That stuff on the eclipse didn't upset me, just left me feeling frustrated with the many humans who scoff at the idea of the rapture, and of Jesus Christ as our Savior. And frustrated with the date setters too - they make us look like kooks, & that's not likely to encourage the nonbelievers to do much research into scripture. So ... I'm gonna round up my dogs, give them a few tiny milkbones, and go to bed.

I've been seeing a lot of stuff about the April 4 eclipse too, mostly from date setters who are convinced that the the Rapture will be either that day or 40 days later. I was also getting a lot of folks on my Facebook that were predicting it for last night in connection with the Blood Moon.

Good morning, Mel! Good morning, Jeanette! It's chilly at 56 degrees and a light wind. Rainshowers are forecast to start at any minute now. The rain should be moved out of here before noon. Only supposed to reach the low 60s and then, after lunchtime, the cold front comes through. The next couple days are only expected to reach the low 50s and we may have a light frost tomorrow morning. Snow is forecast for north of I-40 over the next couple of days. Hope everyone has a great Monday!

I didn't feel like cooking today, so I just ordered a pizza delivery. View AttachmentWhat do you like on your pizza, Mel? I like a hand-tossed crust covered in red pizza sauce, ground beef, onions, mushrooms, and pineapple ... with cheese on top. If we get a special with 3 toppings, we leave off the onions. My absolute favorite is what I brought home from Domino's last week: hand-tossed crust, alfredo sauce, ground beef, onions, mushrooms, spinach, pineapple, and Feta cheese. Of course, I love all of those toppings loaded on my pizza thickly. We had that Autumn-Themed Sausage Skillet for dinner this evening, the recipe that's in our PF recipes section. That is so not what that dish ought to be called. I haven't been able to think of another, more descriptive name for it, however. Tonight's dinner was delicious. I told Edward I'll be sure to make it again next month (we probably haven't had it since last fall).

It's really cold out tonight, compared to last evening. It's currently 40 degrees, with a windchill in the low 30s. At this time last night, it was 60 degrees and felt like 58. It's pretty windy tonight too. I picked up Franny's ashes after work this afternoon, finally. She's in a beautiful rosewood box, and she's heavy! It makes me wonder if a couple of the other dogs we've had cremated in past years really came back to us 'en total'. A couple of them were big dogs - Clyde, MooseWoman, Houston D. Hound Dog. I'm gonna have to take them down off the den bookcase now and see how they feel, weight-wise, by comparison. No, I'm not "ok" yet with Franny being gone. The rest of the household isn't either. We're all working on adjusting. It's going to take awhile. She lived here from the time she was 7 months old - we all went through a lot of things together. Well, we've shut the house up tight, tonight - want to keep out all the cold air we can. I still need to close the 2 doggy doors, and I will, as soon as these dogs go out for last call potty break. See y'all tomorrow.

Good morning! It is 32 degrees here this morning, but it should get up to around 60 by this afternoon. The sunrise here was extra colorful this morning. Lots of shades of red and orange. What do you like on your pizza, Mel? I like a hand-tossed crust covered in red pizza sauce, ground beef, onions, mushrooms, and pineapple ... with cheese on top. If we get a special with 3 toppings, we leave off the onions. My absolute favorite is what I brought home from Domino's last week: hand-tossed crust, alfredo sauce, ground beef, onions, mushrooms, spinach, pineapple, and Feta cheese. Of course, I love all of those toppings loaded on my pizza thickly. I like just about any pizza topping other than pineapple or coconut. I like both of those things, but not on my pizza. The pizza that I got yesterday had pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms green pepper, onion, and black olives. No, I'm not "ok" yet with Franny being gone. The rest of the household isn't either. We're all working on adjusting. It's going to take awhile. She lived here from the time she was 7 months old - we all went through a lot of things together. Losing a pet is never easy. Even after almost three years, I still almost expect to see May come running toward me when I get home. for you comfort. Praying for all needs today. Hope that you all have a great day!

Good morning! It was 34 at 7:30 but now it's up to 38 - big warm up, eh? Lol The windchill is 30, and it is cold outside. The furnace just came on and that warm air is feeling pretty good. Thanks for your prayers, Mel. Mm, boy, the Francis Scott Key bridge collapse in Maryland is shocking. Praying for all who come by here today.
