I picked up a few groceries at Walmart this afternoon including what will probably be my last batch of marshmallow Peeps for this Easter season.

Long day. And somewhat stressful. When people around me are sad & hurting, it is difficult not to be affected by that and become sad or hurting over similar experiences in my own life. Peaceful evening after I got home tho'. We had homemade reuben sandwiches for dinner - good stuff! I've decided I really don't care for red skin potato salad, however. That's ok - Sweetie likes it so he can enjoy it. It's 42 degrees with a windchill of 38. Tomorrow will be another chilly day too. See y'all in the morning.

Good morning! It's 'not quite' as chilly this morning as yesterday, but it's still not feeling too spring-like. It's barely forty with a windchill of 36. A mix of sun & clouds. The gal battling the 'Nor'Easter' to walk down the street made me chuckle. That's a clever one. We're not seeing much on Easter services, egghunts, restaurant specials on Easter ... Usually the newspaper and facebook are both filled with those sorts of articles and ads by this time. Well, the dogs have had breakfast & they're settled down now, since it's too chilly & gloomy to play outside, so I guess I'll get ready to go to work. Hope y'all have a wonderful day!

We don't seem to have as much as usual around here either. I wonder if it is at least partly because Easter is so early this year.

I think that I am going to have a simple supper this evening: Corn Dogs and Tater Tots.

I was doing a little Spring cleaning today. I moved some heavier pieces of furniture that haven't been cleaned under since before I broke my arm a few years ago. Under one of the large stuffed living room chairs, I found yet another of May's bottle cap stashes.

Good morning! It is 46 degrees and slightly foggy here this morning. I have an appointment this morning at the prosthetic clinic for my leg's 6 month inspection. Hope that you all have a great day!

Good morning! It's 42 at present and the wind is calm. The humidity is high at 82%, but there's no rain in the forecast. We actually had light snow mixed with a little sleet around 9 a.m. yesterday. Not sure where it was seen in town, but it didn't reach our neighborhood. I watched the weather report last night & the meteorologist went into great detail about it. The video showed 3 people standing outside somewhere in town & this white, wet stuff was falling around them. We're supposed to have temperatures in the high 60s today. I'm heading out early so I can stop at the tag office and get a new sticker for the car. Our office is closing at noon tomorrow so I'm going to work at 9 in the morning. Nita said we'll close at noon, have lunch, and take the rest of the day off. The ex-partner and her assistant are still hacking our accounts - they've messed up our account with the state finance agency again (that agency funds our low income tenants). Nita was sick over it yesterday. The stress is taking a toll on her. That's the first thing I have to do this morning - call that agency and tell them again we still exist, and our address hasn't changed. I'm praying for our crew, and our business, and giving that ex-partner and her crew up to God on a daily basis, to do with as He pleases. I'm a long way from perfect - every time she & her assistant pull some stunt, my gut response is to want to go down the street to her bougie business and whoop up on her. I pray for God to take care of those feelings in me too. Okay, y'all have a great day! See you later!

Everything went well at my appointment. My prosthetic is still in very good condition. The prosthetist that I had today said that he could tell that I take good care of it. My leg's outer suspension sleeve did need replaced, but I expected that. That part needs replaced every 6 months or so as normal routine maintenance. This time, we are trying a new type of suspension sleeve using Velcro straps instead of the sticky tape like wrap that kept the previous ones in place. It seems to be working well so far (and no more sticky tape residue to deal with when I clean my prosthetic). After my appointment, I picked up a tuna salad wrap from Subway for an early lunch since I didn't take time for breakfast before I left the house this morning.. I'm back home now and doing laundry and eating my wrap.

‘Morning DH & I are in the “international” airport located in Key West, Florida. We are awaiting our delayed flight back to our area of the country.
We arrived last Sunday. This “international” airport is under construction. BUT it oked & started receiving a lot of flights before construction is completed! It is not equipped to do so!
The arrival area is smaller than anything we’ve ever seen!
To be continued…

Side note: the runway here is too short for planes to land when it's rainy 😳😬praying we are able to get out of Key West today! 🙏🏼❤️
Roosters/chickens are protected species here! If accidentally drive over one it’s a 500.00 fine!
