It's been a quiet evening here. I had some beef for supper, and now I'm just relaxing and surfing the internet for a little while until I'm sleepy enough to go to bed. I plan to turn in a little earlier than usual tonight since I didn't sleep too well last night.

That springwater pump there looks like something you'd find out in the desert. We had a little bit of rain this afternoon, and then had about 2 Tbsp of fresh snowflakes that fell just before the rain ended. And, mmm, boy, was it cold all day. I made a quick shopping trip to Wal-Mart after work. Picked up some avocados & milk - the usual stuff, and some goods like hummus & pimiento cheese spread for weekend snacking. Wal-Mart looked like it had been ransacked. Lots of empty shelves and racks, and not just because they have put away Christmas items, but because they haven't restocked. They had some storage items on sale so I bought a wreath storage box. The wreath on my door at the office is probably the prettiest commercial wreath I've ever owned so I think it deserves some nice treatment. I want to get it put away first thing tomorrow, when I get to the office. I'm watching the Valero Alamo Bowl, which is being played in San Antonio between Okla University and Arizona U. With just under 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, OU is leading 24 to 13. Sure hoping OU wins! Don't know if I'll stay awake through the 4th quarter or not, lol.

Good morning! Last work day of 2023 for me. Hope to get around & to the office a little early. I have to send off a FEDEX package on the way. It's 27 at the moment, with a windchill of 23. The forecast is calling for a high in the mid-50s. Hope everyone has a fantastic Friday! Oh, btw, my Sooners got beat by Arizona last night. It wasn't a fun game to watch. I went to bed during the 4th quarter. Well .... more college bowl games this weekend so hopefully some of those will be good background noise while I'm puttering around the house.

Good morning! It is a chilly 36 degrees here this morning, but it is expected to warm up to about 50 by lunchtime. We may actually have some sunny weather this afternoon. I slept a little better last night, but I still had some really strange dreams. The one dream that I can clearly remember was that I was in a restaurant type kitchen cutting up vegetables for a veggie tray and random people kept walking through the kitchen and eating my cut veggies before I could get the tray put together. Have a great last Friday of 2023!

Glad to hear you slept better, Mel. Dogs had me up just before daybreak to take a trip outside, but they were really good about going back to bed and sleeping awhile after we came inside. warning: this story sounds gross, but it's not at all - it's funny//I walked through the master bedroom after breakfast and saw on the floor what looked like a pile of puke the size of my hand, but it was dry. -??- I got a couple of paper towels and came back to pick it up (Edward can't stomach stuff like that at all). It turned out to be a solid chunk of rock, or concrete mixed with rock. I carried it in the kitchen and told Edward to take a look - assured him it was not what I'd thought it was. He knew it was a solid rock when he looked at it. I threw it in the trash. Had to be Nikki who carried it inside! We cracked up laughing and I hollered at Nikki, "Heh, leave the rocks alone!" She was walking through the den, wiggling all over with a grin on her face. Okay ... praying for a peaceful day at the office. The half of the office that is splitting off will probably start moving their stuff out this afternoon. So, our half of the office may leave early so as to avoid unpleasantries. Want to get all the work done that I can ahead of time, plus, this being a short week, I don't have many hours.

I could take a nap! The office was discombulated this afternoon, with the other half snatching & grabbing everything they could get away with. Those were "ugly actions", as our receptionist termed them. The front door lock was changed this afternoon so our team heaved a sigh of relief over that. It'll be awhile - another week or two, likely - before all the loose ends are tied up. They still have a phone # to settle up on, and signs to move, etc. We got up to at least 56 this afternoon, but it's turning cold fast, since the sun went down. It's already 45, and expected to drop into the low 20s overnight. Hope we all have a really good evening. btw, we had pizza for a late lunch too. Very good stuff! And I'm not hungry for dinner now, or yet, or something.

I'd have loved that! That would have been priceless, and well-deserved. We chilled this evening. I fixed spaghetti with baked meatballs and a garlic-herb sauce. That was really tasty, and fast. Besides fixing the spaghetti, we sat down and watched the Cotton Bowl where Ohio State played Missouri. Missouri won, , and it was a fun game to watch. Hope y'all sleep well tonight.

‘Morning, temperature here is 38 degrees, ‘Been having some rough nights.
Thankfully the other day, my goal was to mop everywhere, and although ‘didn’t move a couple of furniture items, ‘got the mopping accomplished!
Yesterday, I was able to meet up with a friend for breakfast & catching up on life. Afterwards, got to 4 stores in that area, before I reached the end of my energy. Once home DH helped unload the groceries. Prices have gone way up again on butter, eggs, etc. some items were really higher than before, so I passed on them.
I did pick up a 10 lb bag of sugar that was a couple of dollars marked down, no reason for it to be so.
Today doesn’t feel like a Saturday or the end of the year. Strange.
Thankful to be another day closer to hearing Jesus call to meet Him in the air!
May you all have a blessed weekend!

Good morning! It's a chilly 49 degrees right now. It's heading for a dry, sunny, mild afternoon. The weather team says we'll reach the low 60s. I'm planning to be outside awhile so I should shut down the computer and get on with it. Hope y'all have a great afternoon.
