Good morning! It is already 90 degrees here this morning. There is nothing quite like cold leftover pizza for breakfast. Hope you all have a great day!

I love this t-shirt that I saw (the cat's expression is just priceless), but I'm not willing to pay the price that they wanted for it. Once shipping was added in, it would have been about $30.

Good morning! At 11 a.m. it is unbelievably only 82 degrees. Today's high is only supposed to reach 98. Wow! Small claims court was quiet, had few cases and many of them were defaults because no one showed up on the defendant's side. We were suing a tenant who's gone to assisted living but left behind a sister & her girlfriend. They're troublemakers to put it mildly, and not on the lease so they're squatters. No one showed so I got a default judgment, and I had the Writ already filled out when I went in so the judge smiled & signed it too after signing the default. I went right downstairs and got all my paperwork filed, then went to the basement and negotiated with the Sheriff's Office to do the lockout on Friday afternoon. I was outside the courthouse & texting Nita the news at 9:29. Probably the fastest full court case I've had all year. Edward is getting a mattress delivered this afternoon so I came back home, after all that ^^^, and helped with getting the old one out of the way. The dogs couldn't figure out 'what' we were doing. Poor dogs just don't like change. One phone call to make & I'll be off and running to collect some rent & go to the office. In spite of the fact that it should be 10 degrees cooler this afternoon, I still hope to spend the afternoon working inside.

By the way, Mel - I got a big kick out of that overachieving dog. That would be Tex, the first dog I had here in Oklahoma. Tex herded everything, including turkeys and buffalo out of the Wildlife Refuge (we had some fun adventures on a couple of occasions ). We took him with us on vacations so he went all the way to Maine late one summer and tried to herd seagulls along the shore! When they wouldn't round up, he jumped up in the air trying to catch a few as they lifted off and flew away. He had so much fun & frustration that afternoon, I think he was stretched out on a rug at the cabin by sunset, sound asleep. What a dog! I'm really disappointed in the cost of t-shirts these days. Every once in awhile I'll see one I really like ... and then I figure up the price and just shake my head. The other thing I've noticed is it's harder to get 100% cotton, and I have to watch out for descriptions that tell me "how soft" a particular shirt is. Ah, no, I want a good ol' solid cotton - like used to be everywhere -something that will take years to wear out, even if it starts fading. Hope everyone has a great afternoon. Hard to believe it's Wednesday!

A school in New York toppled 6,391 cereal boxes like dominoes to break the record - then donated them to charity: Our food pantries here are reportedly having a tough time staying open due to money & food donation shortages. A big charity donation like this would be wonderful. There are so many hungry people in this country, a country as rich and full of resources as we are. I don't understand it.

I opened the back door & stepped outside with the dogs about 11:30. You should have heard the coyote chorus! They sounded young, and like the were playing. Our dogs weren't too intimidated but they wasted no time taking care of business & coming back in the house. They've finally settled down to sleep, I think. Franny may still be awake - she's in the office & I just heard her shake, like her ears are itchy. Well, hope we all have a great night's sleep.

‘Morning!
Temperature here at 7 am is 72 degrees Humidity is 90%
‘Plan to post the prepayment taxes for federal & state, as well as property taxes.
Afterwards, stop at a grocery store or two, on the way home.
DH painted around the entryways yesterday. Only needed one coat & so much less work than the walls were! The half bathroom downstairs, I have some peel & stick paper I plan to see if it works halfway up … perhaps today.
‘Still have the parlor to straighten up from the visit last weekend, than regular cleaning … in between recliner naps lol
May you all have a blessed day!

Good morning! We're having breakfast at Whataburger, formerly the breakfast club hangout. Thise days are long gone. We had earned points so decided to spend them. I had enough for a couple breakfast sandwiches & Edward had enough for a couple small sides. We topped it off w/free senior coffees. We're going to the big apt complex so I can look at an apt that "should be" ready to rent. And then I'm going to the office. Hope y'all have a great Thursday!

Our high temperature here yesterday was an even 100. Today is not expected to be quite so hot with our high forecast to be 90 with rain likely this afternoon.

I'm working with a soldier who'll arrive this weekend. He had to send us a picture of his dog to have it approved. He's moving into one side of a duplex. His little dog looks just like the one in this picture. Lololol
