Have y'all seen the advertisements encouraging people to put down their cell phones for 5 - minutes, hours, days? It's all about how we're so locked into our phones that we're basically missing life. Our cell phone provider, US Cellular, is the company running those ads here, but I'd be surprised if they're the only ones saying to 'get out in the sun, spend time with your family doing something fun, take your dog for a walk, go to the gym', etc, etc. I haven't seen those commercials, but then US Cellular doesn't have much of a presence around here. AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile are the main cellular providers here.

I was looking over my appointment calendar for the next few weeks, and it occurred to me that Easter Sunday falls on Sharon's birthday this year.

AT&T and US Cellular are the 2 big ones here. Verizon & T-Mobile are latecomers. There used to be a big fight over cell towers- you could be standing right next to a US Cell tower but have Verizon service & you'd be in a deadspot - but these days, they all have sharing contracts.

I got some sad news this morning. I don't have much in the way of details yet, but my niece's husband's sister passed away suddenly on Monday. She was only 39 years old and leaves behind 4 young children. Prayers for the family are appreciated.

Those eggs are a hoot, Mel! It's 71 outside at the present. Not going to cool off much tonight, probably. Oh, Mel - I got a kick out of your fb post about signing an affidavit to buy a rolling pin, after all, they're for making bread, not walloping a badly behaving husband. I instantly thought of this emoji: Til Valhalla Project has this t-shirt on sale, but it's presently Sold Out. I was going to buy one, as a way of supporting their deceased veterans recognition program for the families, and the programs they have to prevent veteran suicides. I picked pink & black because women vets can have issues with suicide too. Maybe they'll get more in stock & notify me. Hope everyone gets a good night's sleep tonight. I y'all!

Good morning! It is 51 degrees here this morning, and our high for today is predicted to be in the 70s. Oh, Mel - I got a kick out of your fb post about signing an affidavit to buy a rolling pin, after all, they're for making bread, not walloping a badly behaving husband. I instantly thought of this emoji: View AttachmentWhen Sharon and I announced our engagement, her sisters threw a bridal shower party for her. One of the gifts that she received was a rolling pin with an attached card that said that it was to keep me in line as needed.

Good morning! We have a stormy afternoon forecast with winds in the 60-80 mph range and hail 2" in diameter to softball-sized. First they show a weather map that says all of that will be isolated in our area, but then they add a cross-hatched overlay that shows we're really gonna get the hail! I have a few tasks that must be completed today so I'm heading out in a few minutes with the plan to be home when the weather begins to develop in our area. Hope y'all have a terrific Thursday! I plan to, in spite of the forecast.

We actually had a frog start slowly singing in the old pool last night around 10 p.m. There's not a lot of water in it, but the mud is thick and slimy. Milo Man thought he'd been given a whole new playground! I hadn't turned on any lights out back but I could hear him splashing in the water. He had to have been slightly standing on his hindlegs and then 'pouncing' in the water with his front feet. The frog must have gone into hiding because Milo was only in the water a few minutes. He was wet from the bottoms of his feet to his chin & he happily tracked mud through the house till he got to the bedroom, where he flopped - panting, and went to sleep. He got back up a little later for some bedtime treats to get him settled in the right location for the night.
