Can't read the circled portion of the Avocado sign. It says: "Save up to 0.00 on 4".

Can't read the circled portion of the Avocado sign. It says: "Save up to 0.00 on 4". Well, then it sounds like that must be the regular price, eh? $1.25 each, all day any and every day. Odd sign! It's still cold ... not as windy as earlier today, but still a heavy breeze blowing outside. I met up with Edward at Taco Mayo and we each had an Indian Taco for dinner. Yummy! It was super messy but it was still loaded up with a good share of typical toppings. When I got home, I changed into sweats and my warm househoes. Trying to reach a couple of our tenants so I can set up repairs at the homes they rent, and they seem to have some really weird number of cell phones with no voicemail boxes set up. They make no sense. It's a little frustrating. I'll try again the morning.

‘Morning Everyone why is it when I have an appointment, that's when I could sleep longer~plus I'm getting to bed around 1 - 1:30am. 🥶 29 degrees, too 🥴 Yep, spring arrived this afternoon! 'Gotta get moving ~'just a regular 6 month dental thing, office is about 30 mins away or more with traffic. Trouble is I don't want to get out from under these warm blankets! Thankful DH called about 30 mins ago! May you all have a blessed day! Edited as I learned spring arrived officially today at 2:24 pm PDT time Did you make it to your dental appointment in time, Jeanette? I'm about to head to bed where it's hopefully warm so I can sleep most of the night. A friend posted this on her fb page this morning. I think it explains this cold weather we're having.

I've owned my new car for all of 4 days, and I'm already getting offers in the mail for extended car warranties for it! Sorry, but it already has a 5 year / 60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty from the dealership. So, no thanks! Mm, boy, news travels fast in cyberspace! I think that's really fascinating, that you're already getting offers. It would be interesting to know 'which keystroke' or what input letter/word that was a part of completing your new car purchase contract triggered the notice to mail you an extended car warranty offer. <--I'd really like to know that sort of thing for all kinds of linkages that must be set up (there's gotta be big $$$ in buying & selling those linkages). I've also discovered that this car is equipped with Alexa to allow voice control of just about everything on the car other than the actual driving. I turned that particular feature off as soon as I figured out how to do so. Alexa is kinda creepy. I don't want to be associated with Alexa ... the gal who hears & responds even when she's not set up & operational. I've also read it's not true that Alexa is always listening, but I don't know what to believe. Well ... gonna head out back with the dogs & then go to bed.

Good morning! It is 25 degrees here this morning with a heavy frost, but by this afternoon we are forecast to be in the 60s. I received a message last evening from Julia in El Salvador to thank me for the Birthday gift that I sent to her last month. She is 19 now and has graduated from high school. She is now receiving vocational training through the Compassion program to work in the hospitality industry. She included this photo of herself with the things that she bought with her birthday money. It is so hard to believe that the little girl that I started sponsoring so many years ago is all grown up. Hope you all have a great day!

‘Morning Everyone At 8:10am, it was 29 degrees here ~ and the struggle to get out from under the blankets is real ~ so I got back under them!
Yesterday, I mistakenly thought the dental appointment was at 10, but it was actually at 11! So, yep I was on time! The dentist suggested that I run an errand or I could wait there. I had arrived about 15 mins early, too! I ran a couple of errands prior to & after my appointment!

Good morning! It's 46 and wet outside tho' the rain has moved on east. It's supposed to clear up & be sunny this afternoon. Ft. Sill is firing this morning, and the atmospheric conditions are really bringing the 'boom!' The dogs are happily settled in the living room, near Edward's desk so they're feeling protected. Fran is asleep here in the office floor. That was a good deal on getting to the dentist with time to spare, Jeanette. I have to find a new primary care doc & get an appt before mid-April, because I'll need some Rx refills and I can't imagine going back to that awful office where I had to sign a 'code of conduct agreement' while the staff can be as hateful and rude as they wanna be. I've got to get to work on the search. Julia is a beautiful young lady, Mel. I'm happy to see her photos. She's still on my prayer list and your international child is too, Jeanette. Do you still get updates on your child, Jeanette? I'm looking for DS's last year's tax return - hoping I can lay my hands on it in the next few minutes so that'll be one thing I can check off my 'to-do' list. Hope y'all have a great day!

‘Evening everyone
I haven’t kept in touch with the gal that I sponsored, as I let Compassion know that I was stopping contributing, sometime last year. I continue to pray for her.
Today, ‘walked the greenway, 3 miles, with a gal, slow & steady, only had to sit down once!
Afterwards, slow & steady, I got a complete workout in ~ stretches, warmup, cardio, weights, foam roller ~ while listening to encouraging Biblical end times info relating news & Scriptures.
‘Headed off to DD#3’s home about 3:30, in order to be in their area for grandson’s baseball game at 6pm.
Traffic gets heavier the later it becomes. The field is about 45 mins away from here, before heavy traffic, but 20 mins from DD#3’s house.
‘Played a couple games with granddaughter, checked out DD’s container gardening.
I also had a couple books I picked up last year or maybe longer & never even cracked them open to read re container gardening & edible plants, so I had checked & DD#3 was interested. I also had seeds here from an order, over a year ago, so the kiddos can plant them too.
I just don’t have it to keep up on extra gardening, other than put some flowers in here & there for the deer & bunnies to eat lol
‘Got home about 8:30 tonight, after the game & a rest room stop before leaving the field. Night time driving is challenging with all the different style highlights!
May you all have a blessed night of rest.

Barb: pray you found your DS tax info, asap! Thanks, Jeanette! I did find it without too much trouble. DS is thrilled that I pulled it out of his files so quickly. He & I are going to have a talk about 'how much' of 'what' paperwork he really needs to keep. Edward & I have made a pact that we are going through some books and files we've held onto over the past 20 years that are now outdated ... and throw away the most of it. He'd have started on that project this afternoon if his back hadn't been bothering him so much. I didn't get home very early this evening. We needed milk & avocados so I headed west to Wal-Mart before heading east to go home. I really needed to walk around, basically in a daze, to de-stress from the day. It wasn't a bad day, but there's an awful lot of stress around the office. Edward laughed when I explained - he understood quite well. Dinner was late, but it was tasty. We had this: Low Carb-Keto Green Chili Chicken. Recipe is in the Entrees section here. This is really yummy. There's a piece of turkey cutlet left. I may take it for lunch tomorrow.

Good morning! It's sunny & 60, coming up on 9 a.m. It doesn't feel 'quite' that warm tho'. The ground is pretty wet and chilled, and there's a light breeze. Our forecast for today says we'll reach the low-to-mid 80s. We probably will. Have y'all seen the advertisements encouraging people to put down their cell phones for 5 - minutes, hours, days? It's all about how we're so locked into our phones that we're basically missing life. Our cell phone provider, US Cellular, is the company running those ads here, but I'd be surprised if they're the only ones saying to 'get out in the sun, spend time with your family doing something fun, take your dog for a walk, go to the gym', etc, etc. We had a really weird fire in town yesterday morning. A 63-unit metal storage building burned up. The fire burned up or at least damaged 50 of the units. It's been ruled an arson case. Reportedly, homeless people were staying in 3 of the units. Nita & I drove around that block yesterday afternoon & it was a shocking sight. All we can figure is the fire must have spread inside, up through the ceiling. Hoping all of us here have a great Wednesday. I'm going to look up that cod recipe posted here because I think that would be good for tonight's dinner.
