Our weather forecast is bizarre. We have a Wind Advisory that runs from 3:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon tomorrow. Winds will be sustained in the mid-40 mph range and may reach 50-60 mph in gusts. We also have a Wind Chill Advisory that runs from 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning through Friday at 12:00 noon. These are the weather map snapshots that represent this cold: [deleted by poster]

Today I meet up with a friend for breakfast, a walk & talk.
Stopped by Walmart for a few items, came home & moved some fire wood out from the garage to put water where the fire wood was.
Offered to child care DD#3’s kiddos so her & her DH could go out for dinner.
I took grands out to eat, also & we had an enjoyable evening.
Played Yahtzee, Trouble & a modified Family Meme game.
‘Got home after 8:30, collected neighbors post & packages, working on wood treatments/cleaning of oak furniture drawers …

That looks soooo cold, Mel! We have a light snow on the ground, pretty much a collection of individual, dry-frozen flakes. That wind is just terrible! It's still roaring, but coming down in speed a little bit. We still have a windchill advisory until noon tomorrow. It's presently 10 degrees with a windchill of -11. I worked at home till noon, then went out & ran a couple of errands - had to let in a tenant who had locked herself out, for one thing. I was back by 1 p.m. Nita had closed the office at noon, just needed me to hold down the fort from home, contacting contractors with work orders as things arose. I have honestly not totally warmed up since I came home. I'm about to have a freshly-made, hot cup of coffee and put on a different pair of socks & shoes each to see if that helps. Glad your hubby made it home okay, Jeanette.

We only had about 3 inches of snow, but it is a very wet very heavy snow. Tomorrow is supposed to start out cold and then get colder as the day goes on. By late tomorrow afternoon we are expected to be at 6 degrees with a wind chill of -15, and the whole weekend is expected to stay around that temperature. I'm ready for Summer!

Good morning! All together yesterday, we had 4 inches of snow followed by about 2 inches of rain overnight and lots of wind. It is 30 degrees here this morning with a wind chill of 17. By early this afternoon we are expected to be down to single digit temperatures with wind chill well below 0. Heavy winds with gusts up to 50 mph are expected to continue all day today and into tomorrow. I'm thankful that I was able to get the snow shoveled off of my sidewalk and parking area without too much difficulty, but I have to say that shoveling snow while keeping my balance on a slippery surface with an artificial leg was quite a learning experience. I never realized just how much you have to subconsciously depend on being able to feel the ground under your feet in order to maintain balance on wet and/or slippery surfaces. I may need to look into hiring someone to help with that snowy chore in the future. I can hardly believe that tomorrow is Christmas Eve already! Weather permitting, I will be going to Sharon's sister's house tomorrow afternoon for their family Christmas party. I hope you all have a great Christmas holiday weekend!

Good afternoon! Temperature at noon was 16 and there was almost no breeze. The sun is shining brightly. It's much nicer outside today than it was yesterday. We got brave and tried whipping up a pan of scrambled eggs using freeze dried eggs. They turned out yummy! As good if not better than a lot of eggs I've eaten when out in the field. Putting dinner in the crockpot right now & then getting ready to go pick up my Tahoe. The Big Blue Dog is ready to run again! Hope the weather works out for you tomorrow, Mel.
