Looks like we have a good chance of having our first frost of the year this weekend. Wow! The frost will be on the pumpkin for real. It's 65 here at present. Expected to reach the mid-80s this afternoon. Hope it's a great Friday for everyone!

And just in case you needed more evidence that some people have more money than common sense: People are paying THOUSANDS of dollars for clothes that only exist onlineIt's called "digital fashion" and it's exactly as stupid as it sounds. These "digital fashion designers" are creating unique clothing that can only be used online and selling them for thousands of dollars. THOUSANDS for an outfit that doesn't physically exist. The beauty of digital fashion is that you can wear anything. From fire to water, it's completely limitless and up to your imagination. Except that it's augmented reality, so you can't literally wear it. It's just fancy high-tech drawings of imaginative clothing. They're sitting around in their fancy London offices and drawing up clothes that go onto avatars people create for online interaction. You could make your avatar and get free "clothes" from anywhere or have these people design otherworldly outfits for thousands of dollars. Literally, they are taking photos of people and photoshopping their digital clothing on top of them. notthebee.com/article/people-are-paying-thousands-of-dollars-for-clothes-that-only-exist-online?fbclid=IwAR2CN30P7tflegsZyFnNtUyfYNkRuLWucBD7QB7DAn0eVDu_5l4vA4SIrZg

It has stayed cold here all day, and now it is raining hard this evening.
I really don't like the way that it gets dark earlier every night this time of year.
Looking forward to that Day when there will be no more night.
"And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever." (Rev 22:5)

This has been a really busy week! We expected it to be a slow week where we had the opportunity to focus without interruptions ... last week of the month, things should be pretty quiet. It didn't work that way at all! Nita's working 3 hours tomorrow. I told her to call me if she needed me. She said she might do that if there's a mad rush of people paying rent on the weekend! I'm really hoping for peace & quiet at home till the starting bell rings on Monday morning. I cooked up a couple of turkey cutlets this evening and made a cooking sherry-mushroom sauce to spoon over them. Mm, boy, was that good! I'm fixing a pot of zucchini-leek soup tomorrow, for fun. And we're going to work together to fix lamb schnitzel with seasoned fried potatoes and red cabbage for dinner on Sunday. What are y'all doing this weekend? ... Hope we all have a good night's sleep tonight!

I luv, luv, luvved my paper dolls! I played with them on rainy days, or snowdays. They were so much fun! ^^^ That was the first thing that came to mind when I read your post, Mel. Just had to tell you what that "digital fashion" looks like - paper dolls, just online. I agree too, with your sentiment on the days growing shorter. I'm not ready for that!

‘Morning Everyone Temperature here is 56 degrees at 6am Humidity is at 96%.
I’m child caring at DD #2’s home. Her & her DH headed to Folly Beach, SC, for a long weekend away. ‘Spent the night in Charleston, SC, as the weather wasn’t letting them on the island. Hopefully the island is aok to get onto today.
Meanwhile, the two grands here & I drove about yesterday afternoon to a few places. The weather here was cold, rainy & windy.
Afterwards, grandson worked on Lego projects & played games on his computer. Granddaughter baked & spent time on her device, plus worked on string bracelets.
I worked on a Shutterfly album for another granddaughter, as I’d like to finish & order it this weekend.
DH is still in VA with DD#4 & 4 grands plus their little doggie. Praying her DH arrives for a couple week visit on Monday. His plane isn’t due in until 9pm though.
Meanwhile the new furnace & AC unit etc are scheduled to begin to be installed on Tuesday through Thursday of this upcoming week, at our home. If my DH isn’t home, son-in-law #3 is available to work from our house, as I want a man there while the installers are there.
I’m ready for a few days off, just for my DH & I, maybe next weekend …

Even with all the rain, I had one very soggy squirrel show up for his breakfast peanuts this morning.

I can hardly believe that it is October already! You're right! It's mind-boggling. And not only is the daylight fading faster, but it's also taking longer for daylight to arrive in the mornings. It was in the mid-50s this morning, it's up to 81 now. I've washed blankets this morning; will wash dog blankets this afternoon. I'm about to go grocery shopping now. Yeh, I'm going to brave the payday shopping crowd at the commissary! Well, my list is small so hopefully won't be there long. Hope you're all having a great afternoon!

The highest temperature that I saw here today was 56.
I picked up a few things that I needed from Walmart this afternoon, and got some take out Lo Mein and Egg Drop Soup from my favorite Chinese restaurant for supper this evening.

It took longer to grocery shop than expected so I treated Edward to an Indian taco at Taco Mayo for dinner. They were good, but that wasn't genuine Indian fry bread! I used to be pretty good at making Indian fry bread but I haven't made any in years. If these places that have been selling it start substituting puff pastry for the fry bread, I'm going to have to buy some Bisquick and practice till I get my skill back, and I can make it at home. It was a beautiful fall day, I hope tomorrow is more of the same. Hopefully, I'll get a little more sleep tonight so I can get a little more done tomorrow. Y'know, today was a good day, just didn't have much energy. And low-energy days are tough for accomplishing much. I'm wondering if I gave up coffee if I'd actually feel better all day & get more done - ? Hope we all get a good night's sleep!

Good morning! It's 54 & sunny, but you can already tell the sun is further away. We just had a momentary power outtage. It was shocking because I was really into this David Jeremiah sermon & he was giving scriptural references to war. The loud "zap" when the TV clicked off was shocking. Well now I have to set some clocks.
