Good morning! It is a sunny 62 degrees here with a high of 93 forecast for this afternoon. Why, that's probably exactly what happened to Humpty Dumpty! Only supposed to be 87 degrees here this afternoon, with less humidity. The wind has picked up over the past hour, which is great! That wind is probably going to dry things up & blow the humidity out of here. I completed one of those surveys that you sometimes get after you shop some place. It was for Tractor Supply, where I buy beef & potato dry dog food for these guys. The interesting thing about the survey is, I'm now entered in a $2,500 Tractor Supply gift card sweepstakes. Heh, I'd like to win that! I bought DS a winter coat there for Christmas, 2 years ago. If I win that gift card, Edward & I may each get a new winter coat there this year.

Hi! You wouldn't know it from my previous post, but it was a pretty stressful day - and sad - till about 4:15. We had an appt at the vet's to see if 1)Ge'dogg's bone cancer has come back; and 2) if no cancer, is he a good candidate for the Adequan injections? He was weak this morning, and after breakfast he just laid in the floor with his eyes sort of glazed over. No smile, or tail wags. He was real quiet & still - heartbreaking to see! <--all that droopiness after almost 4 good days, with fun and laughs. We were to the point of suspecting the bone cancer had returned. Only option in that case would be to put him down. We finally started getting ready to head out the door just before 3:30, and Ge' popped up like he had springs in those 2 right legs, big smile on his face, tail-wagging, and he went right out front and loaded up in the car without any help at all. It's low to get into, but still high for a dog that can barely walk. The x-ray showed osteocites (sp?) in left shoulder, but no cancer. So they concentrated a laser treatment on that shoulder and gave him an injection in the muscle there. This will be a series of 5 injections, and then 1/month. Hopefully, this will bring him some relief and improve his use of that left front leg. These old pets are a lot of work, and sometimes, it's hard to know what to do. Ge'dogg turns 11 tomorrow. I took this picture on Saturday, after he sat on his behind and howled (sang) along with Fran because some guy was running down the street. It was pretty hot and steamy so he was panting.

Leela & I took a walk out back to see if anything interesting was going on. It's still windy, and it's unusually chilly. Down to 65°; forecast to be about 57° at sunrise. Lol

Good morning! Looks like we are going to have a hot day here. At 5:30 AM it is already 72 degrees. Our weather forecast is calling for about a 50/50 chance of severe storms this afternoon and evening. Ge'dogg turns 11 tomorrow.

Last night, both houses of the PA Legislature voted to override the governor's Covid-19 shutdown orders by a large majority.
Even many of Wolf's usual "yes men" voted against him this time.
I think he pushed his luck too far when he wanted to keep much of the State on various levels of lockdown through August yet went out himself with the BLM protestors over the weekend.

Good morning, all! Thanks for the doggy birthday wishes for Ge'dogg, Mel. He's getting around about like usual, but appears to have less pain - so we're not letting him overdo it on the walking business. He's been dozing too ... he just looks more relaxed today, it's a positive thing, as near as we can tell. We've moved furniture around here in the bedroom office this morning - not a big production, but enough to open up the space and make it a little more usable. There's a new Ollie's Bargain Outlet in central Lawton that's having its Grand Opening!, starting today. We're heading over there this afternoon, hoping they still have the few items we were interested in buying. Edward rolled his eyes in disgust, when Ollie's first started advertising they'd be opening soon. He commented that this town seems to be turning into nothing more than an a haven for outlet and secondhand stores. Wellll ... The JCPenney store in our mall is staying open for now. 6 more around the state are closing, so maybe ours will carry more merchandise and attract shoppers from the areas where Penney's stores have closed.

Happy to hear this! ... Wolf, and several other governors, make me think of the nobles living in castles & everyone else was a serf in feudal England. These people need to be kept in check by their state legislators and the voters. If only people, in general, had studied more history!

Kitty has rallied! He has gone from skin and bones, barely able to move, to an energetic (still very thin) cat with a good appetite.

We tied the record low for June 10 this morning. The record was set in 1955 at 53 degrees. We were that low this morning: 53 degrees. It's 86 degrees right now, but feels like 83 because the humidity is so low. Hope those severe storms pass you by this evening, Mel!

Good morning!
The storms weren't too bad overnight, but we did get a lot of rain (about 2 1/2 inches) in a very short period of time. At one point, the street in front of my house looked like a river with water running high enough to come over the curb.
It looks like it is going to be a really warm but cloudy day here today.
News is reporting that our Governor is going to court to try to get the lockdown orders reinstated.
