Sausage AlfredoTakes about 15 minutes to fix this dinner! Ingredients: 8 oz pasta (penne, elbow macaroni, etc) cooked & drained 1 pkg of Hillshire Farm Smoked Sausage (or use your favorite brand - I used turkey, but you can use turkey, beef, mixed meats, kielbasa, and some brand has about the same thing but it's uncured so fewer chemical like nitrates & nitrites)
1 Tbsp olive oil
2 cups heavy cream 1/2 - 1 tsp Italian seasoning (basil, oregano) 2 Tbsp chopped, flat-leaf parsley 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese or grated mozzarella cheese
2 chopped green onions, including as much of the green part as is usable
Directions:
1) Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain & set aside
2) Slice sausage and saute in 1 Tbsp of olive oil in a nonstick skillet
3) Add cream, Italian seasoning, parsley, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until mixture begins to thicken. Stir in cheese. Add pasta and green onions and toss.
