I was thinking about how much I used to enjoy coloring and decorating Easter eggs when I was a kid. I almost bought one of those egg coloring kits at the grocery store just for the heck of it, but then I decided not to spend the money.

I think coloring some eggs would fun, but I'm not sure what I'd do with those hard boiled eggs. Make egg salad,I suppose. (I like egg salad.) Mom would carefully save eggshells from about the 1st of January on. She & I and my younger brother would color those dozens of eggshells & hang them over the branch ends on a big lilac bush in the front yard. I had a lot of fun doing that. I think the last year we did that was when I was in 6th grade. I wish I had a photo or two of that lilac bush covered in eggshells, but I don't think I do.

If you drop by here today, and you don't know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, I hope you'll consider picking up a Bible and doing some reading into Who He is and what He has done for us. The Book of John is a good place to start at Eastertime. (my opinion) And if you want to know how to ask Jesus Christ into your life, this 3-step, A-B-C graphic shows the steps. If you asked Christ into your life today, also ask a family member, friend, co-worker, or neighbor to mentor you in finding a Bible-preaching-and-teaching church so that you might continuing learning about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I certainly wish you all the best - none of us achieve perfection in life by following Christ, but a Christ-centered life certainly has a lot more hope in it than a life being walked alone. ...And come back here and tell us how things are going.

Okay ... I certainly hadn't planned to stay up half the night. This old computer has given me fits with everything today. We had a plumbing problem at one of the apartment complexes. An elderly lady was panicking because water was running down the wall of her 1st floor 1-bedroom apartment from an apartment on the 2nd floor. I found a plumber to make an after-hours call but he couldn't find the problem. One of his crew put a big trashcan under the leak in her apartment and said they'll be back tomorrow. I talked to the tenant on the 2nd floor who lives 1-apartment to the left. She didn't get off work till midnight & she called me when she got home. Her toilet was overflowing with clean water - it hadn't been used. She had no idea why that happened but said yes, she'd cut off the water so hopefully it would stop running into the apartment on the 1st floor. I plan to text the plumber in the morning to see if he will go back tomorrow. It's always something. So finally, I'm going to bed. See y'all later. Hope you have a great morning when you get up afterwhile.

We had a beautiful warm and Sunny afternoon here. After church, I went to visit Sharon's grave and my parents' graves. After that, I spent most of the rest of the day with Sharon's family at my youngest sister-in-law's house for their family Easter gathering. We had a wonderful meal of roast beef, roasted potatoes and carrots, and broccoli casserole. For dessert, my one sister-in-law made some very good s'mores no bake cookies with Golden Grahams cereal, melted marshmallow, and chocolate chips. After our meal, we had an Easter egg hunt for the great nieces, and the girls had a silly string battle. Edit to add: I'm putting the recipe for the Golden Grahams S'mores in the desert section of the recipe forum.

Hopefully you've all had a great day. It's been pretty peaceful around here. The sky has been filled with pregnant clouds all day, but nothing has come of that. The temperature topped out at 73, so the weather team really missed on their forecast of an 80 degree high. Lol Dinner was delicious. I'd have liked to have a brownie with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on top. I didn't realize that tho till I was putting up leftovers.
