Salmon Patties with Canned MeatThis recipe is quick and easy . . . If you're on the Keto way-of-eating (w.o.e.), which I am not, you can substitute crushed pork rinds for the Panko bread crumbs. You also have the option of choosing to mix in either 1 teaspoon of nutritional yeast or 1 tablespoon of grated parmesan cheese. Ingredients:12-15 oz canned salmon, depending on the brand 1 large egg 1/3 cup Panko bread crumbs (or crushed pork rinds, if preferred) 1 teaspoon nutritional yeast or 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese 1 teaspoon dried parsley 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon dried basil, or oregano (both, if you prefer( Sprinkle with Mrs. Dash to suit your tastes ... or salt & pepper, if you do not favor Mrs. Dash
Chopped fresh Italian parsley or cilantro to suit your tastes
1-2 tablespoons oil for frying, or use a true non-stick skillet such as a copper pan Instructions:
1. In medium bowl, mix together salmon, egg, pork rinds, nutritional yeast or parmesan cheese, garlic powder, basil or oregano, and Mrs Dash. Add in chopped parsley or cilantro.
2. Form salmon mixture into patties - one batch of this recipe will probably make 4-6 patties.
3. Heat oil in non-stick pan. Fry each patty in the oil until browned on both sides.
