I've been following the fiasco that is the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings.
I may be wrong, but I suspect that regardless of what the truth is in regard to the accusations against him (I personally find them rather doubtful) the ridiculous way that the liberal elements in congress have treated him and his family could very well backfire on them in a big way in the upcoming midterm elections.
I personally know a number of lifelong liberal Democrats who now say that they will never vote Democrat again after seeing just how badly their party's leadership has behaved in this matter.
If nothing else, the way this whole business has been handled gives yet another example of Matt 24:12.

This has been terrible, and I'm not sure the insanity has stopped. Supposedly, protestors protested yesterday outside the church Kavanaugh and his family regularly attend. <-- most troubling about that is the potential for the rift between the liberals and conservatives in this country to roll on into the persecution of Christians at the drop of a hat.
I have just within the past week through today lost/cast off people who have been friends and acquaintances over a number of years to decades because of the gulf between us in beliefs ... both political and in matters of faith. It's sad, it's a shame, but I will not compromise my beliefs in right and wrong, and in my faith in Jesus Christ.
It's been a tough day.
