BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WWMT) — Just under a year after the Kellogg Company announced its plans to split into three independent companies, the cereal giant formally announced Wednesday it will actually split into two companies. The company announced it will split into the following: a global snacking business to be named Kellanova and a North American cereal business to be named WK Kellogg Co (executives decided on the split during a February financial meeting without a formal announcement). WK Kellogg Co. is set to be the food company in the U.S., Canada, and Caribbean, carrying the brand-names that include Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops, Mini-Wheats, Special K, Raisin Bran, Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes, Kashi, and Bear Naked, according to the news release. Kellanova is expected to include brands like Pringles, Cheez-It, Pop-Tarts, Kellogg's Rice Krispies Treats, MorningStar Farms, Incogmeato, Gardenburger, Nutri-Grain, RXBAR, and Eggo. local21news.com/news/nation-world/kellogg-company-formally-announces-split-into-two-independent-companies-kellanova-wk-kellogg-co-frosted-flakes-special-k-rice-crispies-kashi-eggo-waffles-pop-tarts-cheez-it-pringles-marketing-snacks-cereal?fbclid=IwAR1lFvenN5XJ_-6bUcL4mPpIpMkWiCao5FiDGZo94LANvC9f4H0k5Q7FJ5o#

Hmmm, sounds like the cereal business is still worth big dollars in the U.S. You know how us Americans luv, luv, luv our cold cereals! It will be interesting to watch this play out and see how each side's bottom line fares over the next couple of years.
