Good morning! It rained all night - at least a heavy, soaking-down type of rain. We had a couple of thunderstorms after sunrise. There was no daylight, it was almost pitch dark outside. The dogs have slept most of the day so far. The sun has come out temporarily. We have a few rounds of harder rain with hail & high winds in the forecast from this afternoon through Tuesday.
We watched a really good sermon by Robert Jeffress this morning. He used to the be the pastor of 1st Baptist in Wichita Falls, and now he's the pastor of 1st Baptist-Dallas. He's written a book that uses Elijah's life as the basis. He's preaching from that. It's what I'm reading at present. Choosing the Extraordinary Life: God's 7 Secrets for Success and Significance. (I wish he'd titled it something like, "God's 7 Principles for Success and Significance" - it would sound less hokey, smarmy, I don't know but something. I don't believe God keeps secrets from us.) It's a fantastic book. I've got to make myself read on a scheduled basis so I can take in several books I want to finish before the end of the year. Amir Tsarfati's book being one of them. It's great, and I've gotten maybe 50 pages into it, and then I was distracted.
Bet you're having fun with the grands, Jeanette!
The owner of one of my listings drove down from a small town a few hours north of here and mowed the grass at the house he has for sale. It was really tall and the City was threatening to fine him for it. I have to drive by & see the job today so I can cheer him on for getting it done before the rains arrived. He called me & said he was exhausted so heading home because he has to work today. We had a good laugh about it. Hope we get this property closed soon so it's someone else's problem! Hehe
