That sign is a riot! "Ya think?!?" I understand the point of it, but it's still funny. Around here we have signs in town that read, "Don't drive into water. Turn around. Don't drown" We don't have adequate street drainage in town so the city streets flood up over the curbs pretty easily.

It has been a sunny warm but not hot day here today.
I took the air conditioners out of the windows and began getting the house ready for cooler weather.
The Almanac is predicting a bitterly cold Winter for our area this year. I hope they're wrong.

Of course, I also enjoy those signs that are intentionally funny:

Barb, Ur picture is great! Thanks, Jeanette! Not bragging, just stating: I feel so much more alive - peppier, energetic - than I have in maybe a decade, as a result of my gp doctor cutting my blood pressure medicine dose in half. I'm looking forward to seeing her at the end of the month so I can tell her. I went to a homeowners' association meeting this evening. It was pretty good. I think the association has gotten better over the past several years. The first 2 or 3 HOA meetings we attended shortly after we moved here in 2002 were so wild, it wouldn't have surprised us if fistfights had broken out. We have to update our bylaws before summer of 2021 so we'll be going over those at the meetings in coming months and we have to hire an attorney to work with us on that project. I hope it's interesting. Okay ... I'm on floor duty in the morning, so I'd better go to bed.

If there are smilies you've particularly liked or used often in the past, and you don't see them in the smilies section, let Mel or me know, and we'll see if we can find them. We've each posted most of what we have on our own computers, but y'never know what we might still pull out of deep space if you jog our memories. . . . . . . "you da man" . . . disappearing smilie . . . "did I say that?" . . . (good night, for real!)

I'll bet Miss May luvssss tuna fish. Did she talk you out of a bite of it? The cat on the skylight cracks me up! The neighborhood cats used to lay on the roof of the cobblestone cottage across the street from our house, on sunny winter days, when we lived out at Medicine Park. Wish now that I'd taken pictures of them up there. For breakfast today, I fixed an egg salad sandwich on rye toast and included a handful of Romaine lettuce. There was enough left in the bowl that I could give each of the dogs a little bite. They think egg salad is a pretty special treat.

Hi, y'all! I've noticed we've been having a number of Guests on the board each day. I think that's a good thing. I'd like to see them register and post. I'll be the first to say it, I'm not sure what we ought to be posting in several of the other forums on the board. But, not to be put off, I found a couple of articles to post. Please take a look and share your opinions. If you are reading/have read something that fits into any of the forums on this board, please post them. Went to Central Mall this afternoon - our one and only enclosed mall. It opened in November 1979; it's now in foreclosure. It's never been a very good mall - management has always been a problem. There are empty storefronts everywhere you look these days. It is really sad. I went to Bath & Body Works and found a great deal on some body mist and some handcream. I had a rebate debit card from another deal earlier in the year so I spent the remainder of it. That was fun!
